The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 190: Slapped Ghania Quinlan in the Face_1
But who doesn’t want healthy legs? Even though he was only five years old, being born into the Yancey family meant he understood the warmth and coldness of human relationships early on.
Ghania Quinlan stroked his soft hair with a gentle and attentive expression, "Do you trust your sister?"
Edric Yancey looked into her eyes, and suddenly tears fell like rain. He cried noisily, his pain and anguish made his sobs hoarse as he said, "Sister, my left leg hurts so much."
"It won’t hurt soon." Ghania Quinlan felt as if an invisible hand was pulling at her heart. She had never felt such anger and heartache.
All she could do was keep stroking the top of his head, holding him in her arms, and softly saying, "I won’t let anything happen to you, rest assured."
She did not make promises to anyone, but once she did, she had to follow through!
Ghania Quinlan calmed the emotionally shattered child, then took out her bubblegum bottle for him, telling him that he could have the ’candies’ inside whenever he wanted. She also ’bought’ grape-flavored tiny sugar pills that he could eat when his pain became unbearable or he felt very distressed.
As Edric Yancey’s emotions gradually calmed down, she picked up her things and said to the man in the hospital room, "I’m stepping out for a bit."
Amadeus Yancey had never seen Edric so utterly distraught outside before. As much as his heart ached, he knew that if Edric’s leg became disabled, it could ruin his life.
He pursed his thin lips, and, unlike his usual self, he did not follow her out. With eyes that seemed bloodthirsty, he grunted, "Okay, I’ll wait for you to come over."
Meanwhile, he also took out his phone.
Ghania Quinlan didn’t know who he was trying to contact.
But she didn’t care; her heart and mind were filled only with thoughts of Edric’s leg.
She walked out of the hospital room, and immediately, the looks of a group of people outside landed on her.
Zayn Fisher asked in a deep voice first, "Ghania Quinlan, is Edric okay?"
His leg was broken, and he actually asked if it was okay? Ghania Quinlan strangely wanted to laugh, which she actually did, giving him a cold sneer as she did so, her gaze cuttingly cold.
"What are you laughing at?" Zayn Fisher asked angrily.
Ghania Quinlan directly told him, "Get out of my way!"
That voice was both cold and irritated, showing him no face whatsoever.
Caught off guard, Zayn Fisher’s brows furrowed deeply as he looked down and said in a raised voice, "What are you going crazy for, who has upset you that you’re taking it out on me?"
"I’ll say it again." The hostility was evident in Ghania Quinlan’s eyes, with one hand in her pocket, both beautiful and fierce, "Get out of my way!"
Her aura had never been so forcefully imposing; it was as if a lion that had been provoked no longer wished to slumber.
Zayn Fisher was taken aback by her overpowering presence and in that split-second of perplexity, he watched as she brushed past him, heading straight for Ghania Quinlan standing behind him.
Almost in the blink of an eye.
"Slap!" The loud sound of a slap resonated through the entire hospital corridor.
Ghania Quinlan was stunned, her hand covering her face as she looked at her in disbelief, "You... what are you doing!"
Ghania Quinlan had slapped her across the face, rotating her wrist with swirling rage in her eyes as she stood in front of her and questioned, "Did you push Edric down the stairs?"
"..." Ghania Quinlan immediately shrank back, with the Fisher family present, she’d never admit it, and in a soft voice explained, "I didn’t push him. He fell down the stairs himself. I tried to grab him but I couldn’t hold on, and I fell too, hitting my knee."
Ghania Quinlan laughed coldly, retorting, "Ghania Quinlan, do you believe what you’re saying?"
Ghania Quinlan’s face turned crimson with anger, adamantly saying, "I didn’t lie! I know you don’t like me, but I didn’t lie!"
"Heh."
Ghania Quinlan’s cool gaze narrowed, towering over her, her eyes looking down upon her, her voice seeming to drift from afar.
"You say you didn’t lie, but I’ll find out after I treat Edric’s leg. If you did push him..."
