Nathalie Quinlan gave him a deep look, pondered for a moment, and readily accepted this explanation, her upturned eyes both lazy and wild, "Possibly."

She’s actually serious!

Audrick Zachmann: "..."

He was still reeling from the shock all the way home until he realized there were other people in the house.

"Amadeus?"

Amadeus Yancey seemed to have just taken a shower, changed into home clothes, and his wet hair dripped water down his brow as he wiped it with a towel. The Buddhist beads on his wrist stood out conspicuously. Even though his eyes still had the bloodshot signs of several sleepless nights, he couldn’t suppress the bloodthirsty aura deep within his gaze, yet wearing those Buddhist beads seemed so fitting...

Audrick had forgotten all about being hit by Nathalie’s remarks and entered with a look of surprise, "Why are you here?"

This is his home, no mistake there...

Amadeus Yancey’s deep gaze first landed on Nathalie for a second before he lazily came down the stairs, "My house is being renovated, I’ll be staying here for a while."

Audrick: "It’s okay for you to stay, since the villa has many rooms... but didn’t you just get your place renovated not long ago?"

The Yancey Family owns real estate all over the country, and Amadeus Yancey himself is a hidden tycoon with countless properties. In McKinney alone, he has more than one villa.

Even if one of them is being renovated, he didn’t need to stay at his place.

Audrick remembered that the new star-rated hotel that’s a landmark of the newly built city in McKinney also belongs to Amadeus’s private assets.

"Too ugly, I had them tear it down and redo it."

His tone when speaking made it sound as simple as buying vegetables in the street.

In the meantime, he had already come downstairs. The sleeves of his home clothes were rolled up in sections, revealing the smooth and powerful lines of his wrists. Amadeus Yancey threw the towel on the sofa, bent down to pour a glass of water, and said, "Before I moved over, I had someone buy some girl’s necessities and put them upstairs."

Audrick was still holding big and small bags, raising the shopping bag in his hand, "You bought things for Nathalie too? You should have said something earlier, I bought some as well."

If he had known Amadeus bought items, he wouldn’t have gone shopping himself.

Amadeus glanced at the paper bags in Audrick’s hand, all brands that girls liked. He pursed his lips, his voice mellow, "It’s fine for a girl to have a bit more to wear!"

"True," Audrick thought about it, and it seemed to make sense.

Caryn Zachmann has a lot of clothes. There was even a walk-in closet in their home just to store her clothes and handbags. Compared to Caryn, Nathalie’s clothes were pitifully scarce, so even if he bought several more sets, it wouldn’t be too much!

Panting slightly from carrying the bags, he led Nathalie Quinlan upstairs, "Let’s go, Nathalie, I’ll show you your room."

There were three rooms on the second floor, and Audrick showed her the rooms, thoughtfully giving her space and then going downstairs first.

Nathalie put down her single shoulder bag and took a tour around the room.

The room was large, with excellent lighting and ventilation, and an overall warm color scheme. A large bunny plush lay on the soft bed, though she wasn’t sure if it was bought by Audrick or Amadeus.

She moved the bunny aside, tied up her hair, and went into the bathroom.

"Wash-splash-splash."

The sound of water ran for over half an hour, and after the shower, a refreshed Nathalie opened the wardrobe, planning to take out a new piece of clothes to change into.

Her previous clothes had been dirtied by a water rescue and were far too soiled to wear.

The clothes Audrick bought for her were all likes of pleated skirts that young girls preferred, which were inconvenient to wear.

Opening the wardrobe, Nathalie expected to see only a few hanging clothes, similar to what Audrick had bought for her, but was surprised to find it packed full of clothes.

Aside from the clothes, there was also a new black leather backpack.

And prominently placed in the most visible part of the backpack were three packs of sanitary pads: daytime use, nighttime use, and ultra-thin and breathable.
