The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 57: Parent-Child Activity
Naomi Kenway was deeply touched. In her heart, a scumbag like Jackson Kensington didn’t deserve to be called a father. Only Uncle Lennox had always been there to comfort and encourage her like a true father figure.
Leo Lennox gazed at Naomi Kenway’s face, momentarily lost in thought. "Just go and do the things you love. No matter what happens, Uncle Lennox will always be behind you, supporting you!"
Naomi Kenway clenched her hands. She suddenly remembered everything she had foreseen in her dream: Leo Lennox would die in a plane crash on his way to an academic conference.
Her heart suddenly clenched. She didn’t want anything to happen to her loved ones. The tragedy a year from now—she had to find a way to prevent it.
"Uncle Lennox, you... you have to take care of yourself."
Though Naomi Kenway’s words came out of nowhere, they filled Leo Lennox with immense comfort. He had watched her grow up, never missing a single birthday party before she became an adult. Naomi had a rebellious nature and had never before had the patience to have a calm conversation with him.
Leo Lennox nodded in agreement, then said with a sigh, "I’m so relieved to see you maturing. You’re so impulsive; I always worry you’ll get taken advantage of. I just fear that one day, when I’m gone and have to face your mother... There’s nothing more secure than money and assets to protect you, but..." He sighed again, his tone a mixture of confusion and anger. "Rose was so smart her entire life. How could she have left all her assets to that scoundrel Jackson Kensington!"
Seeing Naomi Kenway’s expression grow somber, Leo Lennox tactfully changed the subject. "Annie must be four years and three months old now, right? I haven’t seen him in so long. Bring him to visit this old man when you have a chance!"
"Okay." Naomi Kenway pulled out her phone. "I have a lot of photos of Annie in my album. Here, take a look."

With Laura Grant’s help, life in the entertainment industry became much easier for Naomi Kenway. Laura was very well-connected and landed her major endorsement deals with reputable brands.
With no work scheduled on Tuesday, Naomi Kenway relaxed at home. She watered her flowers and watched movies, enjoying the pleasant pace of life.
She checked the time on her phone. Ian Shaw would be out of school in an hour. Instead of calling for a driver, Naomi took one of the cars from the garage herself.
Naomi Kenway had started picking up Ian Shaw more often, so Jessica Hilton was now quite familiar with her. Seeing her approach, the teacher smiled in greeting. "Annie’s Mother, here to pick up Annie?"
Naomi Kenway smiled and walked over. "Teacher Hilton."
Ian Shaw, who had been waiting in line, suddenly shouted "Mommy!" in excitement and rushed out to throw his arms around Naomi Kenway’s waist.
"Mommy, Annie missed you so much!"
Naomi Kenway bent down, picked him up, and spun him in a circle. "How much did you miss me?"
"Super, super, super much!"
Jessica Hilton covered her mouth with a soft laugh. "Annie was just saying during naptime that he missed his mom."
Naomi Kenway smiled and playfully booped Ian Shaw’s nose.
"Oh, by the way, Annie’s Mother," Jessica Hilton began tentatively, "we’re holding a parent-child activity the day after tomorrow. I was wondering... would you have time to come?"
Ian Shaw looked up at Naomi Kenway with hopeful eyes, but then, remembering past experiences, his head drooped in disappointment.
Jessica Hilton was aware of Ian Shaw’s situation. Whenever there was a parent-child activity, Annie would stand all alone by her side, watching the other children interact with their families. The memory of that scene was heart-wrenching for her every time she thought of it.
’Annie is such a sweet child. Why don’t his parents pay him more attention?’
"Annie’s Mother, if you have the time, you really should come. It’s a great way to improve the bond between parent and child, and it’s a lot of fun! Children grow up so fast, and you don’t want to miss a single stage of their journey."
"I’m free the day after tomorrow," Naomi Kenway said.
In truth, she had a promotional event scheduled for that day, but she would postpone anything for her son. Just as Teacher Hilton had said, she didn’t want to miss any part of his childhood.
Ian Shaw suddenly raised his head, in disbelief. "Mommy..."
Jessica Hilton smiled as well. "That’s wonderful. And what about Annie’s father...?"
Jessica Hilton had actually met Annie’s father before, but Ethan Shaw was so busy with work that he only picked Annie up on rare occasions. He had almost never attended a parent-child activity.
Naomi Kenway was never sure about Ethan Shaw, but for her son’s sake, she decided to at least try. "He should be able to make it."
Jessica Hilton smiled. "Great! We’ll see you then!"
"Annie, say bye-bye to Teacher Hilton."
Ian Shaw obediently waved goodbye.
Now that he had Naomi Kenway’s promise, Ian Shaw skipped along joyfully with his little backpack, so full of energy that Naomi could barely hold onto his hand.
Seeing him about to skip right past their car, Naomi Kenway laughed and called out, "Annie, our car is over here! You’re so excited you forgot where we parked, huh?"
Ian Shaw said suddenly, "Mommy, can you crouch down?"
Naomi Kenway was confused, but she did as he asked.
A sweet little kiss landed on her cheek, and Naomi Kenway was overjoyed.
Ian Shaw had been watching Naomi Kenway’s expression closely. When he saw the smile light up her face, he began to smile too, his round eyes curving into happy crescents. "Annie loves Mommy the most!"
"Mommy loves Annie the most too!"

After getting home, Naomi Kenway didn’t forget what she had to do. She called Ethan Shaw, but the phone rang and rang with no answer.
’What’s going on?’
Naomi Kenway tried calling again. This time, it was picked up quickly. "Hello, Madam. This is President Shaw’s assistant, Liam Sherman. President Shaw is currently in a meeting. Is there something I can help you with?"
His tone was perfectly respectful.
Naomi Kenway paused for a second. "Annie’s kindergarten is having a parent-child activity the day after tomorrow. I’d like Ethan Shaw to join us."
"...President Shaw has a contract to sign the day after tomorrow. However, I will be sure to relay your message, Madam."
After hanging up, Naomi Kenway rubbed her temples. She had no idea if this would work out. If Ethan Shaw had a contract to sign, he probably wouldn’t come. The man was a complete workaholic, after all.
But when she remembered her son’s hopeful expression, Naomi Kenway knew she couldn’t give up just like that.
At ten o’clock that night, Naomi Kenway called Ethan Shaw again. This time, he picked up himself.
"Naomi Kenway." His voice was heavy with exhaustion. From the other end of the line, she could hear the faint tapping of a keyboard. ’Is he still working?’
"I need to talk to you about something."
"Go ahead." The keyboard tapping stopped.
"Liam Sherman probably told you already. Annie’s kindergarten is having a parent-child activity, and I’d like you to come with us."
