The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 109: Pleasure Meeting You
Since this was just a meet up, they didn’t have to dress so exquisitely. Thus, Asher had stopped in a shop when heading to the venue and bought a few ordinary clothes for her. They changed then and there before heading to the venue.
Thus, without even wearing a gown or anything, Abigail still looked beautiful in her crop top and matching bottoms, colored in blue. Her cream colored crop top looked elegant as she walked forward. Her wavy blond hair waved behind her back, making her look extremely beautiful, just as if someone with a halo had appeared.
She removed her sunglasses once she reached the meeting place, a restaurant hall with the entire place booked by the crew members. Thus, the hotel staff arranged for a big dining table placed at the center with several chairs surrounding it.
Right now, the director of this movie, who was also the author, stood up seeing Abigail followed by Asher. She walked over with a big smile on her face and stretched her hand in front of Asher, nodding at Abigail. "Welcome."
Asher casually shook his hand with her and stuffed it in his pocket, saying, "Let’s hurry. We don’t have a lot of time to waste."
"Sure." The corners of that lady’s mouth twitched a little as she said, "We will first introduce you both to the entire crew and actors first before we get started." She turned toward others and clapped her hands, saying, "Everyone, please pay attention for a bit. These two are very important members of our family. I’m sure the young man standing at the back, you should know him well, right?"
Of course they all knew! They were Asher’s big time fans! Even though he wasn’t an actor, he made sure to boost his fan following over the years, becoming even more famous than the actors themselves. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
The name Asher itself was a brand in this country, and since he was a bachelor in their eyes, the girls and all the female generation were his crazy girlfriend fans.
That’s why, when he appeared following a blondy happily as if he had turned a fool in love, their eyes turned cold and glared at the lady. But since she appeared with him, they could do nothing about it.
Thus, they all selectively ignored the blondy and nodded, cheering for Asher as usual.
"Oh, my God! He looks so handsome!"
"Ah, I want to be his wife!"
"Keep dreaming! I’ll be his wife first!"
"Why won’t he look at me, ah?!"
The corners of Abigail’s mouth twitched. She had to hold in the urge to let out a laugh right then and there, but it would be against her role. Thus, she continued to be Olivia and turned her head, glaring at the women coldly.
Even though she said nothing, her act told everyone her status.
The girls on the other side sneered, but a few of them sighed sadly.
They continued to whisper amid one another while the lady director coughed and said, "And this," pointed at Abigail, "is Olivia Bennett, the villain of our movie and our investor’s girlfriend."
She didn’t want others to offend this lady and be kicked out so brazenly just like that girl a moment ago. She already had wasted enough weeks to find good enough actors for her novel, and she couldn’t waste more time anymore if other important actors were kicked out.
The ladies clapped half-heartedly, and the most excited of everyone were the men, clapping as if they were happy seeing her. Sure, they didn’t know the woman, but this woman, Olivia was so beautiful that they couldn’t stop looking at her.
Was Asher jealous? Of course he was! He didn’t want them staring at his ’girlfriend’ at all! Even if it was a fake relationship, he didn’t want anyone else to touch her, even in his dream!
He glared at the men, who stopped clapping under his cold gaze as he turned toward the lady director. "Miss Susan, enough with the introductions. Let’s start."
The lady nodded, releasing the breath she was holding. Upon seeing the men here, she was extremely fearful of the investor. Sure, Asher was good-looking, and he often made use of his smile to win other people’s hearts.
But behind his smile, there was a hidden dagger ready to scheme and cut anyone’s throat when in need. Thus, she was watching the entire scene unfold, fearing that the investor would end up kicking out almost everyone else from her team, and she would end up wasting even more days.
Thankfully, Asher held in his anger.
The lady director was relieved, but she was relieved too soon as Asher said to those men, "You people, give me your numbers. If I hear or see even the slightest bit of error in your behavior during the entire event, I’ll make sure you guys won’t get a job anywhere else in the entire world. Get it?"
The men there stiffened. They didn’t want to hand over their numbers, but if they didn’t, they feared that this terrific man would probably kill them right here. Thus, they slowly handed over their phone numbers extremely reluctantly.
Finally, the event started as other actors and actresses introduced themselves. When it came to the female lead, she looked in Abigail’s direction as a smile formed on her lips.
She raised her cup and said to Abigail directly, "Miss Olivia, it’s a pleasure meeting you."
Abigail, who was merely bored and casually looking at the food on the table, was stunned when she heard those words. She raised her head as her eyes met with that lady whom she didn’t know at all. Still, for some reason, her eyes seemed a little bit familiar... She didn’t even know why....
Maybe this was a female lead of the novel; thus, she wanted to have a good relationship with the investor’s woman.
Abigail said, "Hello, uh..." She pursed her lips and asked, "I’m sorry. I didn’t get your name."
"Rebecca Anderson." The woman smiled as she leaned forward, saying, "I would be happy if we could be friends."
Abigail nodded and raised her cup, elegantly replying, "Likewise."
Honestly, she didn’t want to know anyone at all who could prove to reveal her identity in the future. Thus, she wasn’t serious about knowing this woman at all.
But for the sake of her role, she would maintain her persona as Olivia.
