The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 94: So, That’s The Problem
"So you’re shopping?" Katherine asked curiously.
"Yes." Abigail thought about it and decided to become an introvert for her role. After all, she herself was an extreme extrovert with terrible mood swings.
She would have to act unlike herself if she wanted to hide her identity. Thus, why not become a bit like Nicholas?
She quickly changed her expression to sombre as she looked at her phone and said, "I’m late for my meeting. I should hurry to the company."
"You work somewhere?"
"Yes." Abigail didn’t speak a word after that, just like Nicholas would.
Now, Katherine truly believed this young woman wasn’t Abigail. After all, that woman spoke a lot, at least to her. So she shrugged off her doubts and nodded. "Well then, nice meeting ya."
"Ditto." Abigail also nodded.
With a disguise mask on her face, her sombre expression made her look cold and indifferent, completely different from her own self. Thus, no one could figure out who she actually was!
When Katherine finally walked away, Abigail released her breath and wiped her sweaty palms on her clothes. She said to herself, "She nearly found out. I should be careful in the future."
After speaking like that, she shook her head and happily continued her plans.
She didn’t know that her words were heard by a woman who had killed that young man back in her home country. She was hiding behind a pillar at this point, staring in Abigail’s direction with narrowed eyes.
The corners of her lips ticked as she said, "So that’s it. She wants to hide, eh?" She chuckled and said, "Not anymore. Too bad, I found out because of Katherine. Dear Abigail, your luck is so terrible."
Abigail didn’t know that she was found out by the exact person who wasn’t supposed to figure out her identity. She happily made her purchase and returned home by the end of the day. As soon as she returned, Asher was already sitting in the living room, and even Nicholas was there with his laptop.
For a moment, Abigail had an illusion of peace from the doorsteps.
These two people could stay quiet and silent under the same roof. How come? They didn’t fight with one another yet?
She stared until Asher finally realized that someone was at the door. Thus, he raised his head and said, "You’re back. Driver told me you bumped into Katherine."
"Yes," Abigail looked proud as she spoke, "I successfully fooled her, you know! I acted just like Nicholas in front of her!"
Her husband’s hands paused for a second before continuing to type on his laptop. From the surface, it looked like he was calm and composed, but the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.
What’s so interesting about acting like him? His wife was so strange.
But Abigail thought it was a good idea as she walked over and sat beside her husband, poking his cheeks. "Husband."
Nicholas continued ignoring her and typed as if he treated her like air.
But how could Abigail give up so easily? She continued poking her husband’s cheeks again and again. Soon, the man’s patience vanished without a trace as he quickly held his wife’s hand and said coldly, "What are you doing?"
"Can’t I tease my own husband?"
"No." Then he roughly threw her hand away and continued typing.
Abigail pouted. "You’re no fun."
Of course, the man ignored her once again.
Thus, she shifted her focus and looked at Asher excitedly, saying, "When will I start acting?"
She was excited for her new job. Clearly, she was a very good actress, and she had figured it out. So why not start as soon as she could? She was sure she would enjoy working as an actress more than anything!
"You want to start working?" Asher had once again wanted to get out of there. It was better to sulk in silence than to witness his cousin being all lovey-dovey with his wife, but thankfully, they stopped. The only good thing from their lover’s spat was that she finally shifted her focus on him!
Ah, how miserable was his life? Why did he have to like a married woman so much?
Abigail nodded and said, "Yes! I love acting!"
"Okay. I’ll prepare a role for you right now." Asher stood up and said, "Ah, you said you wanted to act like a villain, didn’t you?"
"Yes."
"Okay. Wait for good news," said Asher as he pulled out his cell phone and called his assistant. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Now, Abigail has left again with nothing to do. She pouted at her husband, who wasn’t focusing on her.
It was better to call her doctor. At least he listened.
Doctors were the best people in the world, at least to her!
Thus, Abigail pulled out her phone and rushed outside to the garden. She stood beneath a tree brightened by lightning and called her psychiatrist.
Owen had just finished his working schedule for the day as he stretched his neck, rubbing the back with his hand when his cell phone rang. He sighed and looked at the screen.
Abigail.
What was she calling for now?
He pursed his lips and picked it up. "Yes? Something’s wrong again?"
"Nope." Abigail pouted, saying, "My husband isn’t looking at me."
"So that’s the problem." Owen felt slightly weird about how this young woman was telling him even such a small thing. "Isn’t that normal between a couple? Without fights, the relationship would be bland."
"I know!" Abigail wasn’t really that foolish. She knew how a relationship worked despite her moodiness. But her relationship with Nicholas was far from it! "Honestly, we got married through a contract."
"Oh?" Owen finally found the conversation interesting as he sat on his chair and leaned back on it, asking in curiosity, "And the term?"
"What term?"
"Every contract should have a term... or is it a lifetime contract?"
Abigail was stunned after hearing those words. She had never thought about it that way. A contract term?
How come she never heard of anything like that from Nicholas’s mouth?! She had always thought she would be married to him for a lifetime! Plus, she hadn’t written anything like that in her novel.
So how the f*ck would she know about it?!
