The Villainous Noble Regressed With The Villain System-Chapter 47: The Irregularities [1]
Chapter 47: The Irregularities [1]
"Haaah..."
There is a good thing about living in forests.
Well, there are many good things, but one of the most visible ones would be the natural air cooling.
As I did my morning exercise—running from tree to tree, pushups by the riverside, and a few swings of my dull training sword—I was fully charged for the day.
And the breeze...
It slipped past my sweat-coated skin like silk, wrapping around me with the scent of pine and dew. The early sunlight leaked through the dense foliage in golden shafts, dappling the earth in warm patches. A few birds called from somewhere above, fluttering just out of view, and I could hear the river gurgling nearby—soft, constant.
Nature was soothing. Predictable.
Unlike people.
I rolled my shoulders and cracked my neck. Muscles still sore from the dungeon fight, but sore in the right way.
Others would’ve called this kind of peace "boring."
I called it survival.
My hut stood as it always did—crooked, awkward, and ugly—but it was mine.
A few of the logs were rotting already, but the structure held.
I’d replaced a few support beams yesterday, and today I would try crafting a proper door.
The idea of something knocking at night wasn’t pleasant, even if it was just the wind.
The seasonal change was something to look out for, I guess.
It’s the late summer now, so not too hot.
I live beside the river bank anyway, so it’s a great thing that I get to feel the cool breeze of the river, and the everlasting shade of the tall trees. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
But, the next one would be turbulent, as it would be rainy season, in a one or two weeks.
My primitive hut wouldn’t be able to hold out the rain at all.
So, I have to build something solid to withstand the wind.
And there are chances of over flooding of the river, if there is excessive rain.
So, I have to look out for it.
The main task was still not available, so I decided to take it easy.
But, take it easy never meant to be just laying around here and doing nothing.
I have to prepare for adverse situations in terms of the story too, for which I read a few more Chapters of the story yesterday.
Probably till, Dorian’s death, by the hands of an executioner on the order of the Emperor.
Well he deserved it, honestly.
Even I was surprised at how much of a scum he was.
But there was no mention of anything like regressions, so I guess it was the original story until Dorian regressed.
Yet, the story continued even after the death of Dorian.
This was a bit complicated.
I think, like parallel worlds, the timeline deviated from the original one, where Dorian regressed back to the starting of the story, in which he was killed multiple times by Monica, and here we are, living in that same timeline.
The other one continued like normal, and as every story has an ending, it ended at some point too.
Although, it’s all based on my conjecture.
There is no way for me to confirm this hypothesis.
But, there are things I can do.
And that is, as you would have already guessed, collecting valuable items before the protagonist, Aster does.
I don’t really care about the progression of the story at this point.
So, there is no harm in taking the items mentioned in the story, before any one lays their hands on it.
Well, there is a lot of items, mentioned.
So, I decided to take out the easier ones at first.
At my level, I can’t exactly collect the harder ones anyway.
One of them was in this forest, in the deeper parts.
The Unbroken Sword Of Ceaser
A broken sword, ironic to its name, which when wielded by the right owner, can convert it to a complete sword by the missing part automatically generated.
It has its downsides, but a pretty useful weapon to have, if I say.
Ceaser was the Knight who wielded it once, in the Great World War among different races, that occurred right after the heroes defeated the demon king.
I have already noted down the conditions to meet for the position of the rightful owner, and how to find the location of the place where this sword would be found.
I have read how to use it too, as much as I could, from the novel.
The only problem which stood in my way was that the deeper parts of this forest is not exactly as safe as it is here.
Sure, there are a few dangerous bugs and snakes, here and there, here, but not as dangerous as the deep forest, where magical beasts infest the entire area.
That’s the reason why, these massive walls were built around the capital city, and outside this forest, to keep the magical beasts trapped inside this forest.
So, if I want that weapon, I have to eventually fight those beasts.
I squatted beside the firepit and stirred the embers with a stick. Smoke curled up lazily, fading into the canopy. The water in the kettle boiled quietly, the smell of wild mint leaves seeping into the air.
Unbroken Sword of Ceaser.
A broken blade that reforges itself—only if the wielder is recognized.
Its location, according to the book, was a few kilometers east from here. Somewhere beneath the Crescent Grove, a place wrapped in old fog, cursed trees, and nesting grounds for mid-tier magical beasts.
I still remembered the description from the novel.
> "The grove was a circle of lightless trees, older than the war, older than the kings, where the air itself whispered in broken languages. The sword lies half-buried beneath a wolf’s altar, its edge dulled by time but never broken in spirit."
The issue wasn’t finding it.
The issue was surviving long enough to grab it.
And I knew better than to try doing that alone.
Which meant it was time to pay someone a visit.
