The Villain's Survival Instruction Manual-Chapter 13: Banquet[2]
The Grand Hall was even bigger than The Grand Strategy Hall. The ceiling had arches going from different ends into the center where a chandelier hung.
Long tables were set for the students according to their year, and then at the front just above the stage was a table with thirteen chairs meant for representatives of the thirteen great families.
While just above those was the place where the professors, the Vice-Headmaster and the Headmaster would sit.
"Cassian I suppose we don’t have time to spar before the event, we can do it afterwards. I’ll take it over from here you go do what you were going to do." Ronan said and took over the lead from Cassian.
The woman next to the Duke of Ironveil, Lord Severin Ironveil, was his oldest daughter, the first sigilbearer, Lady Valeria Ironveil.
Velaria matched Ronan’s pace and started walking beside him. "We’re both alumni of the academy Ronan, you want to catch up with the Headmaster later with me?" She asked with a smile.
They both had attended the academy at the same time, and were the best of rivals for each other.
"Sure, My Lady." Ronan bowed slightly and responded.
Valeria smirked and moved her head close to his ear, "my dear do you want our father to catch onto whatever we have going?" She whispered, her breath sent a shiver down his body.
As they neared the stage, Headmaster Octavia was busy giving orders to the works so they could finish setting up.
She looked towards the incoming group, all of the people she knew. Like the mischievous woman she was, she decided she would prank them.
"Valeria and Ronan! It’s so good to see you both after so much time." She shook hands with both but yanked them slightly towards herself.
"Are you both officially together now?" She asked, her voice being louder than before so that the two fathers behind them could hear.
But they only smiled, as Ronan and Valeria turned out. Turns out they had already knew of it, the back and forth letters and being in close proximity at events gave it away,
Embarrassed, they excused themselves and left Count Corvin Morrigan and Duke Severin Ironveil with their long time friend, Octavia Greymarch.
"So you two old bastards decided to show up finally?" She blurted.
"Need I remind you, who is a year older than both of us?" Duke Severin replied.
"Then where’s my white hair? Severin you’re naturally white-haired but look at Corvin."
Count Corvin had the most ’are you serious’ expression as both of them looked at him. As the old friends reunited, Ronan and Valeria were in a corner, discussing their matters.

Cassian arrived outside the Thalassar dorm building, Oliver and Martha were sent back to prepare for the meeting with Detective Crowe.
He was waiting for Sharron and Eric, but what an epic brother sister duo they were that even after ten minutes of waiting they weren’t out.
As Cassian walked in front of the building in the dark of the night, he heard faint murmurs and the sound of footsteps.
That’s not coming from inside the building. But rather behind me.
He didn’t waste a second, cracking sound came from his body as the muscle density in his legs changed. Even with a busted ability like this, he could only do so much.
Turns out even this required mana and he lacked the amount to make it work fully.
He pushed down and then jumped, thankfully the wall was not that tall. As soon as he got up on the wall, he saw a couple of shadows glitching as though there was something or rather someone in them.
He lifted his hand and pointed his index finger at the shadows, the wind bullet which was small the last two times he used, was not even bigger than his hand.
He didn’t need to chant to use a spell, just the name of the spell was enough.
"[Ventus]"
The wind bullet shot out with enormous speeds but just before it could hit the shadows, they dispersed and Cassian had to redirect the spell towards the sky because the whole tower in front him would’ve been destroyed had it hit.
Fuck.
He was a split second later, he already had a dozen things to worry about, and now this? He cursed his misfortune.
Out of all the damn characters I had to become this...Cassian Morrigan.
As he jumped down and went back to waiting for the brother and sister, he tried recalling the original plot he wrote.
The Banquet later came to be known as the Bloody Banquet. These shadow assassins were probably the reason as well. He sighed.
If only he had written events with more details, he wouldn’t have this issue right now. The only thing he could do was to keep his eyes open for any disturbance within shadows and maybe inform Professor Edmund about it.
Just then Eric and Sharron came out as well, they wore almost the same clothes as him, just that Eric had three badges on his shoulder pads while Cassian and Sharron only had one.
"Sorry for the wait Cassian, this sister of mine was being indecisive with some stuff." Eric chuckled as he pinned the blame on Sharron. She gasped at how easily her brother lied.
The trio left for the Grand Hall and the Banquet was nearing its start.
