The Werewolf King's Bride-Chapter 531: Shopping
(From Blue’s Perspective)
In the end, I managed to go shopping the next day with Perita. Dion was too little, barely two months old, so I would not dare get him outside, not in this hot weather at least. Dem would take care of him.
Dem had been grumpy the whole time and I figured his mood would remain that way until I finally came back. He told me to come back before lunch and I said I would. After all, I had a son too and I would need to go back to him quickly.
"I already miss Dion," I said as Perita and I sat down in the most famous boutique of the capital. We wore hooded cloaks to hide our identity from local people. When I finally took it off in the boutique, I felt like my soul could breathe again.
Perita looked a little absent minded. I nudged her.
"What’s wrong?"
She shook her head. "Nothing much. I am just thinking about little things," she said.
"Your Highness, it is a pleasure to have you here," the owner said once again. She had been saying the same thing since the moment we came.
"I want to see the exclusive dresses, as well as suits," I said.
Exclusive dresses were made only one and they were made by the best designers, using top level products.
"Bring those dresses and suits for Her Highness," the owner said. She was beaming. "Suits are now quite famous since Your Highness started to wear them. Now, a large number of women come looking for them."
They brought at least twenty dresses and all of them were just gorgeous. But I needed not just gorgeous items. I needed something extraordinary.
"I want revealing dresses," I said frankly. "All of them are too covered up."
"Ah, in that case, we have those too," the owner said and sent her workers to get more dresses. Explore more stories at novelbuddy
The next dresses she brought were more to my liking. Since I had started to wear revealing and way too dramatic dresses since the war, I just did not stop. Sometimes, I felt like I was more confident when I wore them. And confidence was something I needed very bad right now.
I bought twenty dresses in total. The owner would send them to the palace within evening. After that, I went to order pieces of jewelry. I needed some for the banquet in Trouvaille and for regular use as well. The jewelries I wore these days were not too heavy, but had eye-catching designs. They were to my taste.
I was shown various jewels and the owner who was a bluff man with a rather big mustache said he never did fraud business. Well, he was the number one seller of jewelries in the capital. But that did not necessarily mean he was honest.
"You will not find better jewels, Your Highness, I can guarantee you," he said.
"We will see that, Mr. McRhonald," I said and held the largest diamond of the bunch in my hand.
I let my power once again release itself just a little bit. The jewel shone, as if an electric bulb. I smiled. It was a good one.

"You are honest, Mr. McRhonald. I might come here again," I said.
He registered himself and closed his mouth that was hanging open.
"… It’s… it’s an honor, Your Highness," he said.
It was kind of like he would not have truly believed I was a dark mage if he had not saw me using my power. Well, any mage could use this power. But maybe some people still did not want to believe I had any kind of power at all. The shock on his face and his assistants were quite satisfactory though.
Next, we went to a popular store for toys and bought a lot of toys for my little one. I just could not stop. The amount of toys I bought would easily fill a small room completely. After that, we went to a kids’ clothing store and I got blankets and clothes for Dion. Since he was too little, not all of his clothes needed to be custom made.
Later, when he would develop a style of his own, we would get himself a tailor.
Finally, we went to a café because both of us were famished. The day was hot, so Perita ordered lemonade and I got cold watermelon juice. I just loved it. With that, we got a variety of food items because I wanted to try and also because Perita had a good appetite.
"Perita, do you want to wear a suit, a uniform or a dress in the banquet?" I asked. "As my personal guard, you need to shine and make the other personal guards of other Kings and Queens jealous."
"Dress, never. A suit is not bad actually, but I prefer my uniform. You can add badges and jewels to make it look even more extraordinary."
"I also thought you would say that. Nothing beats the beauty of the uniform of your dream job," I said.
Perita’s dream was to be a great knight and now, she was in fact one of the best knights and also my personal knight. She was literally a living legend as she was the first knight to plead loyalty to the dark mage Queen, or as people called me- ’The Demon Queen’.
Perita hated the life of getting settled. She loved to fight. She said she was born to fight. Both she and her mate wanted to be knights and not settle for something like a family. They went their separate ways and now Perita was my personal knight while her mate was Dem’s knight.
"I will get my tailor and make another set of uniform for you," I said. "Wow, the cake is so soft…"
"Your Highness, I want to tell you something."
"What?"
"I think I see someone you know over there," she said, pointing with her index finger. I slapped her finger so she would stop pointing and turned my head.
