(From Blue’s Perspective)

"Can we trust her? Are you sure?" I asked Evan when he said we could talk freely in front of his fiancée.

"She has no ties whatsoever with her family. I mean, she has as she is still the duke’s daughter, but she hates her family. At this moment, I am controlling her father, not entirely, but enough. And if she tries to do something funny, which I don’t think she will, I can just eliminate her."

"… You can’t just eliminate your fiancée," I said grimly.

"Oh, trust me, I can," he smiled.

Dion moved a little in the middle of his nap in my arms as we sat in Evan’s office. We came to Trouvaille yesterday. Yesterday, I rested the whole day. Dem went a little overboard playing with Dion, so now, my son was sleeping like a log because he was tired.

"Trusting random people is the worst idea," Dem said. "We are not discussing anything private in front of her."

"He is right, we aren’t," I said.

"Of course, we aren’t. We cannot keep everything a secret, so she will just know that we are actually allies or something like that. Since I am going to marry her, it’s not possible that she will never doubt anything. And if possible, I do not want to control her mind too. That would be weird. You know what I mean."

"… I do not like it," Dem said. "It’s going to go wrong. I know it."

"What if it doesn’t?" Evan asked.

"Then, you all can tell me I was wrong," Dem shrugged.

"Now, that’s not how it works, I am pretty sure," Evan let out a laugh, followed by me.

"My husband can be humoring even when he doesn’t want to," I laughed.

"What about when he wants to?" Evan asked.

"He never wants that," I said and we started laughing more.

Dem stared at us like we were crazy. "Because you all act like this, I don’t understand people," he groaned.

"Even when you can read minds?" Evan asked, still laughing.

"Reading minds makes things more complicated. And I wanted to ask you, why do you not want me to read your fiancée’s mind?"

"Oh?" I was interested in this. "You got her something made of black stone?"

"It’s a ring. Our engagement ring. I don’t want King Demetrius to read her mind and know how she wants to kiss me. That’s going to be weird and uncomfortable," Evan said.

She was wearing gloves last time. That was the reason I did not notice it before.

"Why? It’s normal," Dem said. "I read other people’s minds too, and they think about these kinds of stuff a lot. I don’t see anything wrong with that, although sometimes it does make me feel uncomfortable."

We had tea while I checked out Evan’s office A to Z because I was interested in the magical items he made for himself, for the sake of aesthetic.

"Why didn’t the master of the magic tower come again?" Evan asked.

"Because he hates people," I replied, checking out a vase that Evan said could throw poisonous pins if he gave the command. I was not sure if the poisonous pins were going to come from the plant or the vase. "I wrote in the letter. When we went to the banquet in Ataraxia, Dem had to force him to come with us."

"So he could guard you?" Evan asked.

"Basically, yes. And for the food too," I said. "However, this time, even the food could not make him come here."

"Make sure to tell him what food he missed," Evan said. "Now, shall we go to the dining hall for our lunch? I am famished."

"The breakfast was literally so big. And I ate a lot too. But I am hungry again. So, let’s go," I said.

Evan’s fiancée joined us for lunch. She wore a light blue dress. It suited her. I offered her a small smile as she took her seat beside Evan. It was the five of us in the dining hall. I placed Dion in his small rocking chair that we brought with us.

It could be folded, so it was easy to bring here.

Lady Liliana seemed to be a sweet lady. Her smile felt authentic and she did not talk too much, nor talked too less.

"These days, I don’t even get morning sickness. It’s weird," I said.

"Not at all?" Evan asked.

"None. Right, Dem?"

"Yes, Blue has not had morning sickness yet. She barely shows any sign. We got worried and checked with the doctor. He checked her and it all came out fine," Dem said. "I have also read in a book that not all the time a woman will show signs of pregnancy. It is perfectly normal."

"My maid also did not show any sign of pregnancy, even during her third month," Liliana added. "She has a beautiful daughter now."

"How good it be if we also have a daughter, right, honey?" I smiled at Dem.

"Well, we already have a son. It won’t be bad to have a daughter," he said, offering me a small smile.

When people were near, Dem would just not open up much. At first, I thought he felt uncomfortable. But when I asked him, he said he just did not like to open up much when others were near. He said it was exclusive for me. Being cold and distant was how he usually was. It was only with his family that he let himself ease.

His family was just me and Dion.

"May I ask something, Your Highness, the Queen of Querencia?"

"Yes?"

"Is Blue your real name? Or, is it like a name you took later on? Or, is it your nickname?" she asked.

I had a few maids who also asked me the same type of question. They were not sure if Blue was a name that I was given when I was born.

"No, it is indeed my real name. It was a name my birth mother gave me when I was born. I heard it is because of my eyes. And I don’t have a nickname. I don’t need one. My name is small and easy enough," I said.

"Ah, I see. It is just… the name Blue is not common enough. I have never seen any person have it, although I think it is a really beautiful name," she said, blushing as she looked down at her plate. I had once been like her- timid, shy, and a little afraid.

"Of course, it’s a beautiful name. It is the most beautiful name I have ever heard," Dem said proudly. Now, I felt a little embarrassed. But I also loved it.

The look in his eyes clearly said, "Your mother did at least one right thing in her entire life."

"King Demetrius gets a little hyped up when it comes to his wife," Evan chuckled. "He will even praise the Queen’s nails."

"Her nails are neat and perfect and beautiful. They are praiseworthy," Dem said.

"Well, there you go."

Dion let out a cry in his sleep but calmed down when I rocked his chair a little bit and gave him a kiss as a bonus. I never lost the opportunity to give my son kisses.

"How old is the Prince?" Liliana asked.

"Four months and thirteen days," I said. "He is the most beautiful child, isn’t he? He is my little bundle of joy!"

"He indeed is such a cute baby. I have never seen a cuter baby. And he also is a really happy baby. He giggles all the time," she said with a smile.

"Yes, he smiles for both himself and his daddy," I said, giving Dem a side-eye.

"He looks so much like His Highness, the King of Querencia," she said.

"He does. He looks exactly like Dem," I said. "You would think Dem gave birth to him and made him by himself."

"You cannot make a child by yourself," Dem smirked.

Now, he made me uncomfortable. He liked to say things like this all the time.

"Gosh, you are really…," I slapped him playfully on the shoulder. Even if I hit him hard, he would think a fly had hit him. For the sake of my hand, I decided to be playful only.

The food was just amazing. My appetite had increased, so I enjoyed it thoroughly. After lunch, we had tea. I could never say no to tea, regardless of the time. The color of the tea was brownish and kinda reddish. It was smooth and watery.

It felt nutty and earthy. I was not a big fan of peanuts, but I had to admit that the tea tasted quite good. There was a sweet aftertaste.

If I was right, it was the type of tea that we called pu-erh tea in my world. I had never tasted it before, but I had read about it in a book about teas. Some people might find it weird that I even read books about tea. I actually always liked to know about things that fascinated me. Tea was one of those things.
