They made it back home close to two in the afternoon. Everyone had already eaten lunch and they were still stuffed from eating too many deserts so, they sat at the dining table and sipped peppermint ginger tea. As they sipped it slowly, Alix had Caishen in stitches with her cheesy pick up lines.

"Boyfriend, you are not a car key but you are driving me crazy."

"Pft!" Caishen laughed, and the tea he had just sipped almost came spurting out of his mouth. "What is wrong with you?"

She was killing him with laughter thanks to all these silly cheesy pick up lines. Some, he was sure she had got from the internet. He did not think that these lines actually worked on any sensible woman.

"Hubby, do you know CPR?" she asked him.

He nodded.

The eager smile on her face dissolved and she shook her head. "You are supposed to say no."

He raised both hands and said, "Okay, I don't."

She smiled and replied, "Well you should learn because you are taking my breath away."

He rolled his eyes and guffawed a bit.

She wiggled her eyebrows and pointed both of her pointing fingers at him back and forth. "Are you a time traveler? Because I see you in my future."

Caishen leaned back in his chair and shook his head. She had said at least thirty of these silly lines so far. Surely she had to be out by now. What he didn't know was that she was reading them straight off of a virtual screen.

"Boyfriend, is it hot in here, or is it just you?"

He stared at her smugly and replied, "Nope, it's all me."

"Ho! cocky, you are so cocky."

He shrugged, still smug as he raised raised his hands and spread them out, daring her to prove him otherwise.

She nodded and patted him on the shoulder gently. "Alright, you are hot Mr. Zhang Caishen, hotter than the sun."

"Can I share a pick up line too?" he asked her.

She was surprised that he was interested in what was now a game of sorts but she nodded. It would be interesting to hear what he had to say.

Unknown to the two, Yura was standing behind the door in the entrance to the dining room. She had come in search of Alix but when she heard the conversation between the couple, she halted her steps.

Now, she was giggling silly as she listened to them. It warmed her heart so much to listen to the heart filled sound of laughter her son was now capable of letting out.

Although she knew that it was inappropriate to eavesdrop on them, she was curious about what Caishen was going to say to Alix. She had never seen her son hit on a woman before. This would surely be interesting.

Unfortunately, she would not be able to hear what it was because Caishen planned differently.

He leaned closer to Alix and said in a low voice, "Kissing burns five calories a minute. Do you fancy a workout?"

She grinned and bumped her shoulder into his. "You are terrible Mr. Zhang Caishen. I actually thought that you were going to use an original line."

He sipped what was left of his tea and put the cup down. "I was just following your lead. But, I have never picked up anyone before. And your pick up lines have not worked on me. If you want me to be your boyfriend you should find a new strategy."

He looked at the time and then at his legs. It was almost time for his treatment and exercises.

"Are you tired?" Alix asked him.

He shook his head. He still had some energy and he could accompany her in whatever she wanted to do next as long as it involved staying home.

The sound of knocking drew both of their attention and they looked away from each other and at the door. His mother was standing in the entrance to the dining room.

"I hate to interrupt you two but I need to borrow your wife for a minute Caishen." she told them.

He moved his wheelchair behind, then turned around and gave them some privacy immediately. As he was leaving, a maid came in and took away the now empty tea cups.

Alix got onto her feet and looked at her mother-in-law.

"Yes mother-in-law."

"Just call me mother."

Alix smiled a bit and nodded. "Yes mother."

"Ho, are you just going to keep saying yes, yes, yes__, to everything?" Yura asked her. "You know what, scratch that question because I need to ask you for a favor and I am hoping that you say yes."

She turned around and started walking away so Alix followed her naturally.

As they moved, Alix's eyes were drawn to Yura's long legs which were taking long strides elegantly and silently. How is she moving without making a single sound? Her own feet were sort of dragging. Jin Kang once said that Alix's feet had no silent mode and they were always loud when she moved.

"You have not replied dear." Yura spun around suddenly and told Alix.

"Huh!" Alix looked up in surprise.

Yura smiled fondly at her. "You were not listening."

She took Alix's right hand put her arm in hers so that they could move at the same pace. "You need to be more attentive if you are going to be in the entertainment industry dear. It doesn't matter if you are CEO, celebrity, trainee, manager, agent, cleaner or security guard. In this line of work, one needs to have sharp ears that never miss a thing."

"Yes mother." Alix answered.

Yura looked at her and rolled her eyes but laughed and went down to business.

"I wanted to speak to you about Chan Ki. One of the songs you gave So Mi to sing was given to Chan Ki because her voice fits it better, the love ballad. It's that song burning love, but, it's a piano ballad and Chan Ki is insisting on collaborating with you. Light entertainment will pay you of course. I will never allow my own daughter-in-law to work for free."

"Yes mother." Alix answered.

Yura stopped moving which in turn caused Alix to stop moving as well. She gave Alix a rather stern look and said, "Don't just say yes docilely because it's me that's making the request. You should be more assertive because you are a woman of the Zhang family. If you are too soft you will continue to be trampled on."

She nodded.

Yura resumed the walk and she asked Alix, "So what do you think? She wants to do a black and white video theme. You will appear in the video and play the piano. It will be good publicity for you before director Ban's movie comes out. You need to create some heat for yourself so that you will have maximum recognition when award season begins."

Alix, of course was on board.

"It's tomorrow." Yura told her.

"I will be there." Alix told her.
