The players who survived the battle in the sky made it to the fortress of the bandits with a few wounds, and half of their original power. Power boost potions were certainly popular and going around

once feet touched the ground.

This was very much necessary because the fortress was a maze and it housed more minotaurs and very strong human bandits whose sizes had been enhanced by the dark wizard. If you were not at maximum strength, you would be useless.

"Shit, it's those beasts again." Dark death said unhappily.

"Come on." Hero told them.

"No," Alix stopped her. She looked up and made a suggestion. "Find where they are holding the city lords daughter. Everyone will be expecting me to fly in from above as I usually do but let's outsmart them."

The paladin was of a different opinion "You are a bard, it doesn't matter if you come from above or below, they will still hear you coming."

A large shadow suddenly loomed over them while they were still scheming and a large axe came down with force. Dark death was quick and she twirled her body and caught the axe with her chain.

"Wrong time to make a plan."

Hero shoved Alix away as she spun her staff and yelled, "You go and find her, use the teleportation scroll to get her out. All of these beasts are just a distraction and delaying tactic. The girl is the most important thing, remember."

As she shouted this to Alix, she made two quick vertical slashes in the belly of the minotaur and Dark death sliced off it's arms.

While Alix stepped on Baize's back, her two teammates cut off the head of the beast.

This time round, she was going to hypnotize everyone, friend or foe they would be captured by her spell until she made away with the one they came to rescue.

"System, directions." she said.

This was a maze, and it would take everyone a bit of effort to navigate. She, on the other hand had a helper that could help her to speed up the process.

"Turn back to the entrance." It told her.

Alix turned Baize around without question and returned to the entrance. Then, she took a left turn and disappeared around the corner.

Five other players noticed what she was doing and they became curious, among the five was the abhorrent elf who made a spontaneous decision to follow her.

In the real world, Caishen had been in the dining room for around ten minutes, behind Alix with curious eyes on her laptop.

He watched her fingers fly rapidly, and listened to her passionately call someone a bastard. He was not a gamer in any way and he couldn't understand what joy she was receiving from this.

He also wondered if she had deliberately designed her character to look like her. The ostrich in the game resembled the one on the pinky ring she had given his grandfather.

As much as he didn't play games, he did appreciate the very realistic technology which had gone into it's creation. The features and designs were of better quality than anything he had seen Xiaobo playing. He could see potential for their technology in other fields, especially the entertainment business. The makers of the game could be worth looking at and the company worth investing in.

He noticed her fingers move fluidly and her character playing a flute as she dodged a flaming sword.

"Even in a fictional world, she has chosen something music instrument related."

She could have chosen a sword, knives, blades in all sorts of shapes, axe, crossbow, arrows, spear. He could go on and on in his mind but he stopped. The crux of it all was that she had chosen a flute.

One of the maids noticed that Caishen had been there for a while and he wasn't leaving. It was the dining room so she wondered if he perhaps wanted something to eat.

"Young master, do you need anything?" she approached him and asked.

"No," he answered.

But as she walked away, he changed his mind. "Wait, get me a cup of hot milk. Use the milk powder my wife brought and add two spoons of honey."

Eager to be of service, the maid walked away quickly. "Yes young master."

Caishen continued to keep his eyes on the laptop even as his phone rung and he answered it. "Mo Sen, let Di Ruyi handle the rest, you can return to my side now." he said in a monotonous tone.

As he was hanging up, Majesty jumped onto his laps and climbed onto his shoulders. The cat shamelessly made itself at home around his neck and watched the laptop with more rapt attention than him.

Caishen didn't bat an eye because he had seen the cat watching cartoons and other things on a tab. It was a marvel however that the cat which usually ignored him was now using his body as a chair as it pleased.

As for Alix, she was not warned by the system about her audience so she gave all of her attention to the leader of these bandits.

She had found him easily and the victim she had come to rescue was tied to a chair next to a large wooden chair. All that was standing between her and the city lord's daughter was the large man with an ugly scar running across his left eye.

Her hypnosis was working but not as intensely or well as she desired it to do. The bandit leader was taking too long to fall. He was flailing around, and thrusting his sword at her.

"Does he have too much wax in his ears?" she asked herself.

"You have company." The system told her.

An current video recording of the elf, a dwarf and a red warrior appeared on her virtual screen. The three were hiding and waiting for her to take down the bandit leader and then they would swoop in when she was done, kill her and rescue the tied up woman.

She was certain that the dwarf and elf belonged to the same guild because both had been on the back of that bird. The red warrior however, she was uncertain.

"He is from a different guild, Aslan guild." The system confirmed.

Just as expected, those three had perhaps come to a temporary truce. Eliminate her, and then the strongest among them would take the prize. Dealing with a common enemy first was the easiest go to strategy that anybody could come up with.

They could also watch as she fought and learn the weaknesses of the large bandit leader. If she died, they could take him down with that knowledge.

She smiled slyly and stopped playing suddenly, even lowering her hands. The time for sweet delicious revenge had arrived and she would eliminate this obstacle while at it.

As the bandit leader started regaining his complete senses, she turned around and took off racing in the direction of the three players who were hiding.

If they didn't want to join the fight, she would bring the fight to them.
