The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 201: Zhang Bo makes a decision.
Alix saw the posts because the system mentioned it to her, which prompted her to loo out of the window. From a distance, she spotted the reporters which their cameras, hiding in all sorts of corners or simply out in the open, waiting to get that one picture which would earn them a big payday.
The hospital had banned them from it's premises so they had found other spots to wait from. It reminded her of the day they hounded her at the music school. It was no wonder the Zhang's needed to lockdown an entire floor for themselves.
"They are like vultures." she muttered.
After one long hour of waiting, grandma Zhang woke up and as expected, the tears started. Alix chose not to involve herself in the situation. She stayed back and she watched like a passerby as the elders cried once more until grandma Zhang passed out.
The doctors had to give them reassurances once again and medicate grandma Zhang. Officially, she was admitted and she would be released when they deemed her more steady.
"Not this again," Alix thought to herself.
She was not the only one who couldn't imagine spending even more hours standing in silence while stewing in unspoken emotions.
Grandpa Zhang thankfully came to their rescue. "I think you should all go home first. You cannot just stay here like this when you have jobs. Caishen, you should return to the company. There must be a lot of work waiting. Bo, your travel plans...."
"I wont be going, I have dropped out of the movie." Zhang Bo blurted.
He took them all by surprise. Acting was his passion, his life...that and Xiaobo. Why would he drop out of the movie when half of it had been filmed?
"What are you talking about?" Yura asked him.
"We will discuss this from home. I will go to Caishen's office with him. Grandfather, I will be assuming my position as president of Zhang group tomorrow." he declared.
He stated his words very clearly, not suggesting or requesting but telling.
"Bo.." Grandpa Zhang said in a surprised and soft voice.
"It's time." Zhang Bo said with a finality. He picked up his coat and looked at Caishen. "I will be waiting in your car."
He gave a polite nod to his father and strolled out of the room. He left behind a surprised family and a most surprised Wang Yong. His mind was already making calculations at the speed of lightning. If Zhang Bo took up that position, their father could not.
Yura understood what Zhang Bo was doing. He was basically cutting off the tail of the snake, stopping Wang Yong and Na Na from crawling their way into the company.
Under normal circumstances, she would be jubilant, proud and screaming her lungs out. However, these were not normal circumstances. Once upon a time, that position was supposed to be occupied by Zhang Xian. If he took up that position now, with that woman by his side, what did it mean for the rest of them? Especially her sons.
This Na Na would surely want Wang Yong to be the next president and the next chairman eventually. It was better this way. Everyone made sacrifices for the family, Caishen had once made one and it was now Bo's turn.
"Yura, An An, Alix, you also have a lot of work to do. I will stay here."
"Madam, I can stay and look after the elders." Wang Yong offered.
Grandpa Zhang put a stop to it before anybody else could. "No, that's not necessary. You should go and rest." He looked at Zhang Xian and said, "You too Xian. We must give your mother time to adjust. I think you also need time to adjust.
I hope you don't mind but I have taken the liberties to purchase a new home for you close to us within driving distance.
Xian, as my son, I cannot bear to see you living so far from us. Your mother and I don't have many years left and we want to reconnect with you. Having you near will allow all of us to start getting to know each other better. You can also get to know your sons, your daughter and Yura again."
Na Na was smiling until Yura was mentioned. Then the smile on her face faded and a frown replaced it.
"My brothers are here and so is your grandmother's younger sister. Go now, all of you." Grandpa Zhang tole them.
Alix did not need to be asked twice. She carried the now awake Majesty, and her bag. Then she looked at Caishen, waiting for him.
Caishen on the other hand looked at his father and his family. "I will follow after you all." he indicated to the door.
He was not leaving them behind with his grandparents. If it was just his father, he could do it but the other two could not be trusted.

"Oh, we will be leaving then I guess." Wang Yong said. "Grandfather, I will visit you with father tomorrow. Don't worry, I will make sure that we all move closer so that we can become a big happy family."
His words were not enough to express what he wanted and Wang Yong squatted down and laid his head on grandpa Zhang's laps.
Grandpa Zhang patted his head gently, with a smile on his face. He was not blind to the weirdness of the situation but he was just happy that he had another descendant. Later, they could talk about the accident.
Yura scowled and Zhang An rolled her eyes. Alix folded her lips and Caishen's face just remained blank.
"Oh, Xian, I am going to make an appointment for you with the doctor for tomorrow. It will be best if you get a full body exam. Your injuries....." grandpa Zhang broke off and tears started coming out of his eyes again.
Wang Yong saw this as another opportunity to latch on to the elder and multiply the guilt and concern in his heart. "Father and I will come grandfather. Thank you so much for doing that. Father still has residual pain in his legs and his back but we could never afford to get him properly treated. Three years ago he had a...."
"Yong, let's go." Zhang Xian said sternly.
The sternness surprised Alix. She had been under the assumption that Zhang Xian was a weak fiddle being played by his youngest son. Apparently, the man had a bark in him. Perhaps there was a possibility of salvaging this mess if he made up his mind on which direction he wanted his life to follow.
They left and so did everyone else, leaving the two elders behind as grandpa Zhang desired.
It was an awkward goodbye for everyone and thankfully they took separate elevators down. Nobody said a word to each other. Everyone had something to ponder on.
In Alix's opinion, step one of confronting the storm had just been accomplished. At least now everyone was in the loop and they could start planning on how to deal with the aftermath. Lost in thoughts, Alix parted ways with Caishen and she headed to the school while Caishen faced his brother in the car with one question.
"What the heck is going on? Are you really retiring from the entertainment industry?"
