Chapter 694: Chapter 694: Found Out Clearly

(Eighth Update)

Luo Ziling naturally didn’t know about the interesting little story that had unfolded that evening. With a fragrant beauty lying beside him, he hadn’t slept very soundly, but he felt very content. Having never experienced the act of becoming a man, he was still a bit nervous about getting intimate with Yang Qingyin. A major breakthrough had occurred that night, and he was quite satisfied with it.

Moreover, considering Yang Qingyin’s deeply meaningful words, he didn’t feel an urgent need to do anything more and, eventually, after Yang Qingyin fell asleep again, he too went to sleep contentedly.

Yang Qingyin slept very sweetly, curled up in Luo Ziling’s arms like a kitten. Since Yang Qingyin was snuggled in his embrace, Luo Ziling didn’t dare make any big movements. His body stayed still, and thus he felt a bit of soreness in his waist and back.

He woke up earlier than Yang Qingyin and, seeing her sleeping so soundly in his arms like a little cat, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of tenderness. He gently stroked her cheek and neck, savoring the soft and delicate feel of her skin. Luo Ziling thought life was truly beautiful.

Eventually, his gentle caresses woke Yang Qingyin up.

...

“Awake?” Seeing Luo Ziling looking at her tenderly as she lay cuddled in his arms, Yang Qingyin felt momentarily bewildered. Her face turned red, and she asked Luo Ziling softly, “What time is it?”

“Almost seven,” Luo Ziling glanced at the time before responding to Yang Qingyin, “It’s six forty. Are you going to class today?”

“I have to, it’s Friday. There are several important classes,” Yang Qingyin struggled to sit up, “I need to get up now, otherwise I’ll be late.” Saying that, she pushed away Luo Ziling’s embrace, jumped out of bed, and rushed into the bathroom.

About fifteen minutes later, Yang Qingyin had finished washing up and changed her clothes.

As a naturally beautiful girl with super confidence in her looks, she didn’t need to spend too much time on makeup and dressing up. Simply wearing neat clothes and combing her hair smoothly, she was already a super beauty.

After opening her bag and checking her cellphone, Yang Qingyin said to Luo Ziling, who was preparing to enter the bathroom, with a hint of shyness, “Xiaoli is waiting for me downstairs. I’ll head out first, you take your time.”

Luo Ziling didn’t reply but instead pulled Yang Qingyin into his embrace and gave her a prolonged kiss before letting her go.

“Oh, senior sister, today our Advanced Math teacher, Wang Tongshan, wants to take me to meet a colleague who is very knowledgeable about traditional medicine. How about you come with me for moral support?” As he let go of Yang Qingyin, Luo Ziling suddenly remembered something, immediately brought it up, and asked Yang Qingyin, “What do you think, are you interested in coming along?”

“I’d like to, but it seems not quite appropriate,” Yang Qingyin hesitated a little, “How about we talk about it in the afternoon? You’re going to class today as well, right?”

“I was planning to take a leave of absence today, I have something to do. I need to visit Li Haiyang,” Luo Ziling didn’t tell Yang Qingyin about his plan to introduce Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun to Phoenix, as he felt it was unnecessary. So he just vaguely mentioned having something to do, and then mysteriously said to Yang Qingyin, “If you’re interested, I can disguise you as a handsome young man, just say you’re my classmate, they definitely won’t recognize you.”

Yang Qingyin was instantly convinced by Luo Ziling’s words, “Well, alright then. I’ll come with you to give you moral support. You accompanied me last night, so consider it my way of returning the favor. Let’s get in touch this afternoon!”

Upon saying this, she smiled radiantly and even leaned forward to peck Luo Ziling on the cheek.

Before Luo Ziling could react, she grabbed her bag and ran out of the room.

Luo Ziling stuck his head out and saw Ye Xiaoli’s figure in the hallway but didn’t follow her out, choosing instead to head to the bathroom to wash up.

He understood why Yang Qingyin had rushed out so hurriedly, she was shy and didn’t want to leave the hotel with him together for fear of being seen, so he happily complied with her wishes and let her go first.

Luo Ziling remembered that he had instructed Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun last night to meet at half-past seven to visit Phoenix at the sanatorium. Seeing that it was already past seven, he hurriedly quickened his pace.

By the time Yang Qingyin had breakfast and arrived at school and sent him a message, Luo Ziling had already met up with Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun.

Yang Xiaodong had actually brought a car, Luo Ziling didn’t know where he had gotten it from, and he didn’t ask. Instead, he questioned Wang Zhenjun, who was carrying a laptop, about how his investigation was going.

“The person who messed with you guys last night should be someone named Ling Haijun,” Wang Zhenjun replied to Luo Ziling with a proud face. “Don’t ask me how I found out, but I’ve figured it out and played a little game with him. Some matters involving secrets are better left unknown by you, and I won’t tell you anyway, haha.”

“Ling Haijun? Is it really him?” Luo Ziling was slightly surprised and ignored Wang Zhenjun’s pride, asking angrily, “Was it him who pulled the strings behind the scenes?”

“One hundred percent certain,” Wang Zhenjun stated with surety. “This person must have been involved in all the incidents you asked me to investigate, and last night I took a little revenge on him for you. If I’m not busy later, I’ll continue to play with him until he wishes he were dead.”

“Alright,” hearing Wang Zhenjun say this, Luo Ziling felt a bit more at ease. “Since it’s him who’s been pulling the strings, let him taste the annoyance of being entangled in messy matters.”

“I’m best at this kind of thing,” Wang Zhenjun laughed heartily. “Given our abundance of free time, I’ll keep them entertained well. Anyone involved in these recent incidents will learn their lesson and know how formidable I am. Just you wait and see, the events to follow are sure to be very interesting.”

“Fine then, I won’t ask further.”

“As for the forum incident at your school last time, Ling Haijun wasn’t involved. If nothing unexpected happened, it should relate to someone named Chen Jiahai, though we still lack concrete evidence.” Wang Zhenjun went on to share the latest findings with Luo Ziling. “While the methods used in both incidents are similar, the skill level of the person planning the forum incident is a notch higher.”

“Actually, I’m quite curious about how you tracked down the truth behind these incidents,” Luo Ziling said, clearly curious. He felt it was unbelievable that Wang Zhenjun, relying on his networking skills, could track down Ling Haijun and Chen Jiahai.

Even if it were them planning it, they certainly wouldn’t have acted directly but would have others do it and would find ways to distance themselves completely. How exactly did Wang Zhenjun uncover them?

“That’s classified. Telling you could cause problems, so you’d better not ask,” Wang Zhenjun refused to answer, keeping an air of mystery.

“Alright then, I won’t ask,” Luo Ziling said with a laugh, then spoke to them both, “Today, I’m going to introduce you to the captain of Dragon Rise, a very formidable woman. You must have heard of her, right?”

“Phoenix?” Hearing this, Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun exclaimed in unison, their faces showing similar astonishment.
