This Text Adventure Game is definitely poisonous-Chapter 950 - 451
Chapter 950: 451
"Details on Version 2.0 Update."
"1. The Faith System is now available. All players who have joined Sky City and are of level 10 or higher, can make an offering of at least 50 Divinity at the Statues of Gods in their city, to obtain faith in that deity.
Note: Once faith is chosen, it cannot be changed. If you join another Sky City after choosing your faith, you can’t receive blessings from other deities. Furthermore, all subsequent actions related to the Faith System must be performed in front of the Statues of Gods in your own city."
"2. After choosing your faith, you automatically become a believer of that deity, and receive some of the deity’s divine powers as a blessing.
After becoming a believer, if you continue to offer sufficient Divinity to the statue and meet the level requirements, you can upgrade your faith level. The levels of faith are as follows: Believer (requires level 10), Zealot (requires level 15), Priest (requires level 20), Esoteric Buddhism (requires level 22), Bishop (requires level 25), Divine Oracle (requires level 27), Divine Envoy (requires level 28), Divine Official (requires level 29), Holy Spirit (requires level 30), each corresponding to 1-Star to 9-Star.
Within the same deity’s faith, members must not attack each other without cause, and the hierarchy among different faith levels is clear, with higher-ranking members having a powerful suppressive effect on lower-ranking ones."
"3. When upgrading your faith level to Believer, you automatically breakthrough the level 10 bottleneck; when upgrading to Zealot, you automatically breakthrough the level 15 bottleneck; when upgraded to ’Priest’, you automatically breakthrough the level 20 bottleneck; when upgraded to ’Bishop’, you automatically breakthrough the level 25 bottleneck."
"4. According to the principle of Divinity Repulsion, once a certain faith is chosen, relics and Divine Artifacts that belong to other ’non-neutral deities’ systems cannot be used."
"5. Offline mode is now enabled, you can now log into the Fool’s Game without an internet connection (limited to within the Forgotten Land)..."
The content of the update wasn’t much, mainly revolving around the new "Faith System."
Once the update was released, it was quickly reposted on forums. The previously lifeless forums instantly became active again.
A large number of players were discussing the brand-new game content, the popularity even briefly overshadowing the tragedy unfolding over the Pacific Ocean.
Of course, most ordinary people weren’t aware of the specific events over the Pacific Ocean, nor did they know of the existence and danger of the Divine Beasts. Especially the Divine Beast, it’s something that couldn’t possibly be disclosed to the public at this time, as it would almost certainly trigger social unrest."
At this moment, countless players flocked to the official Fool’s website to download the latest version and enter the game to experience the new content for the first time.
The Faith System is currently only available to players who have joined Sky City.
Nonetheless, the combined population of the eleven Sky Cities has already reached over two hundred million.
With such a vast number of people, discussions on the forums were extremely active, and details about the Faith System were quickly exposed by the many curious players.
There are two conditions for initiating faith and becoming a deity’s believer: reaching level 10 and offering at least 50 Divinity to the deity.
The first condition is easy to meet, as players who have joined Sky City are generally already above level 10. Even those occasionally stuck at the level 10 bottleneck will automatically break through after becoming a believer—this is also one of the ’blessings’ that deities bestow on their followers.
Not just level 10, the bottlenecks at subsequent levels 15, 20, and 25 can also be bypassed for free with the blessings received upon upgrading to ’Zealot,’ ’Priest,’ and ’Bishop’ respectively.
This one feature alone is enough to thrill countless players. With the launch of the Faith System, Evolution Elixirs have essentially become a thing of the past. Players will no longer have to worry about being hindered by bottlenecks!
Of course, if a player’s level rises faster than their faith, or if they want to pursue the perfect evolution effect, Evolution Elixirs will still be needed.
Thus, in the future, Evolution Elixirs below the common grade are expected to become almost worthless, while those of fine grade and above will be in high demand.
The real difficulty in initiating faith is the second condition: The 50 points of Divinity!
Currently, the main source of Divinity for most ordinary people is the reward from passing levels in the Tower of Braves. This means that to initiate faith, one must at least climb up to the tenth floor of the tower and choose 50 points of Divinity as their reward the first time."
Fortunately, the strategies for conquering the Tower of Braves are already well established. There are countless foolproof guides that provide step-by-step instruction. While conquering level 50 might still require some props, reaching level 10 is really ’a piece of cake’.
As a result, nearly two-thirds of the players who had joined Sky City initiated their faith the moment the new system went live, eager and impatient.
As for the remaining third, they were either uninterested in the deity of their current city or had other preferred deities in mind. After all, once faith is chosen it can’t be changed, and many people preferred to join the Sky City that was most suitable for them before initiating their faith, so for now, they could only watch enviously as others shared their experiences with the new content.
It didn’t take long for a large number of live stream posts about initiating faith to appear on the forum.
However, the first batch of posts was not the praise and astonishment everyone had imagined, but rather a stream of curses.
"I clearly offered Divinity, so where’s the initiation of faith that was promised? What’s with this ’Offering Failed’ nonsense?"
"Same here, and the Divinity I lost from the failed offering wasn’t even refunded!"
