Once his day’s classes were done, Gu Fan grabbed his backpack and dashed to the commercial plaza across the street. He made a beeline for Leng Le’s office where he saw her looking beautiful as ever, still exhibiting an icy complexion and a forbidding aura.

However, when Leng Le saw Gu Fan, she smiled warmly which instantly softened her cold demeanor, replaced by an approachable vibe which put Gu Fan at ease.

Leng Le slightly nodded, "I believe that you can do well. That’s why I reached out to you. Keep it up, lad, do well, and maybe after you graduate, you can come work here as a manager."

"That will depend on your guidance, Sister Leng." Gu Fan felt gratified to have his abilities recognized, knowing his efforts had paid off.

Leng Le then said, "You seem to have lost a lot of weight recently, you look tanned and worn-out."

"Really? I went on a long trip recently and nearly lost my way in the desert. I’m not putting myself through that ordeal ever again." Gu Fan replied with a touch of self-mockery, noting some changes himself, "It seems Sister Leng, you’ve also lost a lot of weight and look rather worn out."

"Really?" Leng Le momentarily hesitated, quickly finding an excuse, "It’s all due to the workload. Wait till you graduate, then you’ll understand how hard it is to strive in the society. You should cherish your remaining campus life."

"You must be attending a high-class banquet.", Gu Fan casually remarked, not knowing what event Leng Le was going to attend, but Leng Le seemed to be in a hurry, pointing at the video, urging Gu Fan to teach her quickly.

"Sure, I can..." Gu Fan seemed hesitant, explaining this type of dance verbally wouldn’t do, he would have to make physical contact, that wasn’t quite appropriate for a man and woman.

As they became more proficient, their dance began to flow like clouds and water. Their breath and heartbeat were initially normal, but as they performed, their chemistry began forming. The intriguing feeling gradually welled up as they gazed into each other’s eyes, their breaths, and heartbeats subtly changing.

As the simple steps seemed to become sufficient, Leng Le seemed impatient. So, she asked, "Don’t tell me this is all you know."

"Of course not!" Suddenly Gu Fan released Leng Le from one hand, with his other hand he guided her to spin in place.

Recognizing her opportunity, Leng Le continued spinning a few more rounds, then spun into Gu Fan’s arms, her back pressed tightly against him. They danced slowly to the rhythm of the music.

Not having succeeded in her badger game previously, Leng Le didn’t believe that Gu Fan could escape her palms this time. She knew how to make a man fall under her spell, she needed to take the initiative, to do something to stir his heart.

Just as Gu Fan’s heart rate was increasing, Leng Le spun again, leaving Gu Fan’s embrace. Her smile was slightly sly, as if telling Gu Fan to catch her, implying he could have her once he did.

Gu Fan tightly held Leng Le, pulling her back towards him with force. This time Gu Fan chose to hold both of Leng Le’s hands. Their chemistry surged again, it was as if their breaths and heartbeats were in sync.

Leng Le leaned back, Gu Fan held her hands, pulling her back whilst his other hand circled around the top of Leng Le’s head.

"Here we go!" Leng Le turned once again, her back pressed tightly against Gu Fan. Her hands now crossed and slightly tilting to the side, her body’s weight resting on Gu Fan’s arms.

Gu Fan held Leng Le up with his arm and leaned in accordance to Leng Le. Their movements were frozen in time; it was as if time had stood still.

The two stared at each other, eyes shining with flames. They could feel each other’s body temperature rising, their breaths and heartbeats out of sync. The magic of the moment seemed to keep them both entranced.

Finally taking control, Gu Fan stood up straight, bringing them back to their normal state. Leng Le also thought the dance was nearing its end and let down her guard. Suddenly, Gu Fan tightly embraced Leng Le’s waist, lifting her up and spinning vigorously. This sudden moment definitely impacted Leng Le, her heart pounding wildly.

After a while, Gu Fan stopped spinning. Leng Le’s feet touched the ground once more. Gu Fan held Leng Le, her arms wrapped around his neck. They gazed at each other, their breathing was unnatural, hearts pounding wildly.

After the long build-up and the emotional bond that grew, everything seemed to fall into place. Slowly, very slowly, they seemed unable to resist the wonderful feeling and began to draw closer to each other.

They embraced each other tightly, Gu Fan gave Leng Le a deep kiss, and she responded in kind. They kissed each other, holding each other tight, seemingly forgetting everything else, and indulging in the beautiful moment.

Suddenly, the image of Lin Xi crossed Gu Fan’s mind. Although Lin Xi had completely transformed, even though Lin Xi had left him that day, it didn’t mean they had officially broken up.

Gu Fan knew he shouldn’t retain any hopes that he and Lin Xi could reconcile and should start a new relationship. It was one of the reasons he was attracted to this feeling, but he still couldn’t forget Lin Xi.

Gu Fan let go of Leng Le, stopping everything, but in a natural way. Then he smiled, his gaze indicating it was quite late already.

Leng Le also smiled, her grin was a sly one. She believed she had completely won him over.
