Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild-Chapter 1722: Doubts
However, last time when Charlotte Thompson went to pick up Olivia Thompson, she also saw Oliver Hudson.
She just felt that something was off.
But Charlotte didn’t want to overthink it. After all, it’s between Annie Anne and Oliver Hudson, and as a bystander, it’s best not to get involved.
"Oliver Hudson knows about Annie’s current situation, he certainly wouldn’t want to, nor would he do anything to hurt her."
Justin Battleson reassured.
...
The next day, Charlotte got ready and went on time to the place where she had agreed to meet Annie Anne.
Charlotte saw Annie Anne in the corner of the café.
Originally, Charlotte thought Annie would disguise herself as before when going out, but Annie was sitting there drinking coffee openly, and there were even a few people nearby quietly discussing her.
Soon, those girls sitting beside her walked over to ask Annie for a signature and a photo.
However, this allowed Annie to look around and see Charlotte at the café entrance.
Annie gave an apologetic smile to those girls, then walked over to Charlotte.
"Let’s go." Annie linked her arm with Charlotte’s.
Noticing quite a number of people casting glances their way, and even sneakily taking pictures, Charlotte moved a bit closer to Annie, surprised.
"Why aren’t you even a bit disguised?"
"Even if I disguise myself thoroughly, those paparazzi with their sharp eyes will still recognize me, so I couldn’t be bothered to disguise." Annie said with a bit of teasing.
"You’re still a celebrity, what if you’re recognized on the street and it causes a commotion?" Charlotte nudged Annie’s elbow.
"I don’t think I’m that famous."
But just as Annie finished speaking, she noticed a few more people heading towards her.
Annie’s eyes shifted slightly, but she still reached into her bag to pull out her sunglasses and quickly put them on.
"Alright, alright, let’s go. I found a Western restaurant online that’s highly recommended, let’s go try it out."
"Weren’t we supposed to go shopping? Why are we heading straight to a restaurant?" Charlotte was pulled along by Annie.
"You need energy to shop after eating."
The two of them chatted casually, and gradually, Charlotte realized that Annie seemed to have led them to the most crowded commercial street.
Annie’s actions left Charlotte a bit surprised.
"I remember that restaurant; we can cut through the mall directly. It seems like we don’t need to walk through the commercial street, right?"
Charlotte pointed off to the side while noticing that quite a few people had gathered around them.
Clearly, they were all discussing Annie Anne.
"Really? Did I remember wrong?"
Hearing Charlotte’s words, Annie paused for a moment and looked down at her phone.
Just as Charlotte wanted to lead Annie away from the crowd, Annie quickly engaged with a few passers-by, asking for the restaurant’s location.
Annie’s actions, inevitably, exposed her identity to the bystanders.
Perhaps this is the star effect; on this commercial street, there might not be many actual fans of Annie Anne, but there are countless people wanting a signature or photo with a celebrity.
In an instant, Charlotte and Annie were surrounded by a large group of people.
This left Charlotte looking at Annie in confusion, not understanding her earlier actions.
