He followed Oriana and they ran away from the city centre. " Where are we going?" He asked her.
" To get my beast soul of course, where else?" She answered and he nodded and continued following her.
They moved through the forest like shadows jumping from tree to tree like ninjas. It didn’t take them long to reach the location.
He understood why she wanted this one, Infront of them there was a gigantic brown bear.
It was laying down sleeping yet still taller than he was, it snores shook the grass Infront of it.
Oriana transformed, her tiger tail, claws and ears grew, her eyes turned into slits and she was about to pounce when he stopped her.
" Let me shoot it down first, who knows I might take it out with a single shot." He grinned at her but she shook her head.
" No,I need to kill it myself to retrieve it beast soul." She told him while preparing to attack it.
He used inspect on it first,

" Holy shit." The bear had an insane amount of physical strength and endurance which he supposed made sense.
He doubted even his mana arrow would be able to kill this thing with one shot, fortunately he didn’t have to find out.
He drew his bow and formed a mana arrow, he noticed the speed of his mana flow had returned to normal.
Which either meant his mana veins have healed or they’ve adapted to their current state but he leaned more towards the former.
The arrow formed and he shot it straight for the bears eye. The eye was probably it weakest point, even the eyelids can’t compare to the rest of it hide.
The bear sensed it but with it low agility it didn’t have the speed to dodge an arrow moving so fast.
Akaris could already picture his arrow piercing through the eye blinding the massive beast.
Instead he saw a layer of mana form around it body. It was thin and barely perceptible, then it disappeared.
The arrow hit but instead of piercing through the eye as he had expected it bounced off, he frowned.
The mana layer he had seen around the bear was still there but it was invisible. With his spirit made him sensitive to mana so he was able to sense.
It acted like a barrier and blocked his arrow but in doing so it cracked. Infact the crack itself was physically visible.
Then it healed rapidly while he was watching, he stood frozen because he had just figured out a new way to use mana.
" Coating." He whispered drawing Oriana’s attention.
" What?" She asked with confusion but he did not answer. He grew excited and nocked two arrows from his quiver.
The bear had low will and spirit so it mana should run out faster than his, he didn’t mind prolonging this battle.
However he also understood how impatient Oriana can be. He shot two arrows one after the other at the same spot.
Right where the crack was, each arrow was infused with mana and shining with a blue aura.
They hit the mana barrier and bounced off, the bear stood up slowly then rose to it hind legs and roared.
If roar shook the air and scared off the birds in the forest. On it hind legs it was standing more than 8 metres tall.
It towered like a small building, it body was covered in scars, a testament of the battles it fought.
Oriana ran at it will all fours, she was like a tiny insect compared to it size but her aura was no less.
A growl escaped her lips, the bear attacked, it slapped down with it paw, she jumped to the side and dodged.
It paw shattered the ground creating a large crater. She jumped onto it arm and ran up it like it was a bridge.
The bear was too slow to catch her, it attacked with it other paw but she was too fast.
Moving like a blur then she jumped and pounced on it face. Blue mana claws grew on her fingers.
She attacked the bear’s face rapidly with them, her arm turning into a blur. In only a split second she had attacked a dozen times.
Then she kicked off it face and dodged it paw again. Akaris shot his mana arrow right at that moment.
The arrow broke the sound barrier and reached the bear’s face almost instantly. It hit the barrier creating a wide crack.
Oriana attached right after, she kicked off the ground leaving cracks behind and lunged on it face.
Her claws shattered the barrier and slashed it face but barely managed to leave a scratch on it thick hide.
It tried to bite her but she easily avoided it and retreated. The bear landed on all fours and lowered it head.
It glared at them with rage. " No wonder you needed help, this thing is strong." Akaris commented.
Oriana shook her head, " This is the easy part actually." She replied.
He frowned, he figured she was probably talking about it skill that it was yet to use, he didn’t know what the skill was.
He summoned his echo to assist her, without it shield the guy was pretty weak, he gave it his katana.
The echo ran at the bear and swung the katana with all it might but failed to do any damage.
He shook his head, ’ I’m gonna need a new echo.’ he knew echoes can be replaced and he planned to replace this one.
He formed another mana arrow and released it. The arrow managed to pierce through the bears thick hide.
It didn’t go far enough to reach it organs but it still left a bleeding hole on it face. It roared with rage and pounced.
The ground shook as it ran at Oriana, she waited until it was about to bite her then she jumped.
She landed on it back and attacked it with her claws. The bear stood up to shake her off but a mana arrow pierced through it chest.
Oriana did not let go, the battle continued and the wounds on the bear’s body continued to accumulate.
It brown fur was now covered by it own blood, Akaris figured victory was not far off now.
Then Oriana suddenly jumped back and retreated catching him off guard. The bear shattered his echo with a single slap.
It paw attacked at a speed much faster than before. The ground shattered and a shockwave spread out in every direction.
When the dust cleared it appeared, it body was surrounded by a thick red aura and it eyes her had turned as red as blood.
He checked it status again.
" Shit."
