To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 151: Just admit you’re shy and we can all walk it off
As Chin-hwa and Kang-woo were getting off stage, so were their family. As if the banners hadn’t already made it clear that they were there for Chin-hwa and Kang-woo, they just had to leave as soon as their turn was over.
It caused quite a commotion as all eyes were on them instead of the next person who was ready to perform. But it seemed like the music club had used Chin-hwa and Kang-woo’s performance as the highlight in order to keep the audience interested.
But with the sudden exit of these mysterious people, it felt like the moral boost of the audience had reduced a bit.
Woo-bin and the rest hurried backstage, where they could meet Chin-hwa and Kang-woo right away, but when they got there, the students stated that they had rushed out all of a sudden.
"Huh? Where did they go?" Hae-won asked but no one knew.
"Oh my," Woo-bin pressed the back of his palm on his forehead in a fainted stance. "My baby has grown up so much. He already knows how to lose his fans before they catch up to him."
They laughed. Yeah, they were all his fans.
"He probably knows we’ll make a racket," Baek-Hyun said, adjusting the neck of his sweater. "Let’s go out and wait for him."
"Oh, let’s not forget to pick up our coats," Hae-won said. "It’s freezing outside."
Because they planned to support Hae-won to the end, they actually wore ’normal’ clothes that wouldn’t suggest they were somewhat influential.
But that was only when they were inside the auditorium. When going out, they would wear their expensive coats and head towards their expensive cars. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Seriously, it was hard for the wealthy to hide that they were wealthy.
"Ahjussis," Yun-tae called out and they turned to find him walking towards them with Myung-woo.
"Oh, what’s this?" Woo-bin asked with his insightful eyes clicking at the duo. "You two seem to have hit it off a lot." He said and Yun-tae’s face flushed.
"Well,"
He wasn’t even trying to hide it at this point.
"Annyeong," Myung-woo greeted as he stopped behind Yun-tae and dropped his lazy chin on Yun-tae’s shoulder.
"Hey, don’t greet like that. It’s rude." Yun-tae said, pushing his head but Myung-woo simply smirked.
"Just admit that you’re shy and we can all walk it off." He said and Yun-tae’s face flushed again, causing them to laugh.
"You two have such good chemistry," Hae-won said, reaching out to hold Yun-tae’s hand. "I’m so glad for you."
"Um, thank you," Yun-tae felt flustered.
It felt like he was getting well wishes on a relationship that had not yet gotten a firm footing but it felt nice. They all liked him and were really for him.
They probably wouldn’t have been this happy if he had appeared as Kang-woo’s boyfriend, right?
"Don’t forget to invite us to your wedding," Deok-ryu chipped in and Yun-tae’s head blew up.
Wedding? What was that? Where was this plan coming from?
"Hey, don’t tease my Yun like that," Myung-woo said. "Anyway, where are the two we all came to see?"
"Apparently hiding," He-Nari exclaimed while tapping on his phone. "I mean, who wouldn’t? We’re basically a crowd as it is." He switched off his phone and looked up. "I’d hide too if I were them."
"Ah, why does this remind me of the old days?" Hae-won asked and Ga-ram nodded.
"These brats always tried to run each time they knew we were coming to their school event or something." He said and then sighed, dropping his face on his palm. "Seriously, if only they were as sweet and obedient as Byul and little Hwa, we wouldn’t have had to exercise so much simply because we had kids."
"Well, you should be proud you don’t have to exercise now that you’ve grown older," He-Nari said, dropping his hand on Ga-ram’s shoulder.
"Always so harsh with the words," Ga-ram said.
"Well, since they aren’t here, should we go out and look around?" Baek-Hyun suggested.
"I’m certain we’ll find them soon anyway," Woo-bin said, glancing at his phone.
He smirked and looked away.
’I’ll let you feel clever this one time, my baby. But it’s over once you show yourself.’
He could clearly see where Chin-hwa and Kang-woo were on his phone’s tracker and they were just a few feet away. They were probably hearing everything but were pretending they weren’t there.
They probably needed a moment to themselves, so this time, he would act reasonably and leave them be.
"Will you kindly tour us around?" Si-woo asked Yun-tae. "Since you’re familiar with the place. I would like to take a look at the place my little brother spends his time and maybe his favorite spots, too," she cleared her throat, but even that couldn’t hide the blush on her cheek.
"Yes, I understand." Yun-tae said. "But..." He glanced over his shoulder and as soon as he caught sight of who he was looking for, he smiled. "I think I have a better idea."
Behind them were Beom-Chim, Seoung-bo, and Dong-cha who had planned to meet Kang-woo and Chin-hwa backstage, only for them to find the people who had been holding up a banner with Chin-hwa and Kang-woo’s names boldly written on it. Their family.
Since Chin-hwa already said he would introduce them, they took it as a go-ahead to approach them, but for some reason, they couldn’t approach them.
The air around them was so different and they were so unapproachable. It was as if they were from different worlds.
They could be famous chaebols maybe that was why the air was so different around them even when they were wearing normal clothes.
But they were talking to Yun-tae in such a friendly way. Was it because Yun-tae had met them on countless occasions with Chin-hwa?
"Come on, we should at least go say hi." Beom said but Dong-cha felt too nervous. Her family was well off, but she could never brag that she was from a wealthy family.
They were okay, at best. So, she did not dare approach arbitrarily.
"Let’s just wait for Chin-hwa to introduce us," Seoung-bo said but then Yun-tae turned and locked his gaze at their location. He signaled them to come over but they were confused. "Uh, is Yun-tae calling us right now?"
"What? Why would he?" Dong-cha asked.
"Well, it looks like he’s coming this way now." Beom-Chim said and his eyes widened. "And they’re all coming with him."
"What?! Why?"
"Maybe they just need to walk past. Let’s act like we don’t see them." Seoung-bo suggested but then Yun-tae stopped in front of them and asked,
"Why were you guys ignoring me when I was doing so much to get you to come over?"
They stared at him in disbelief. Why would he...?
"So, these are our friends," Yun-tae said and turned to the people behind him. "This is Dong-cha, Beom-Chim and Seoung-bo. They’re the ones I showed you in the pictures."
"Oh, I remember of course." Woo-bin said. "You’re the ones who always hang out with our Hwa. Glad to know he has such lovely and caring friends. Nice to meet you." He stretched his hand for a handshake but they were seriously perplexed.
Even through his mask, Woo-bin was shining to the point that they were very curious as to what the face behind the nose mask looked like.
"A-annyeong," they all greeted, bowing their heads.
Woo-bin wondered if he overdid it by asking the young ones for a handshake. He was always forgetting that he was old enough to be their fathers.
"Gosh, I keep forgetting I’m in my middle years," Woo-bin muttered and then clicked his tongue.
"It’s because you’re always so handsome," Hae-won said.
"And you retain your youth even now," Lee Ga-ram said and Woo-bin blushed, scratching the back of his head.
"Tch, he won’t tell us his secret." Tae-won clicked his tongue in spite and Baek-Hyun shook his head in disappointment.
This got their kids wondering what was going through the minds of their parents all this while.
"Don’t let them startle you," Yun-tae whispered to his friends. "They’re quite rowdy, but they’re warm, and they love Yun-tae and Kang-woo so much that you can’t even imagine the extent."
"Haha, after what they did in the audience, I can only imagine." Dong-cha whispered back.
"But they’re very nice." Yun-tae smiled.
Yun-tae could only wonder how they would react if they saw the kind of crazy things this family was ready to do for Chin-hwa. He didn’t know Kang-woo’s family was that infatuated either. Maybe it was because they were emote reserved and expressed their feelings subtly but they would go to any length to capture such wonderful moments of their little Alpha.
’I’m very sure they took lots of pictures and even videoed the entire thing. They’re more than capable, I can tell.’
"Hello, I’m Chin-hwa’s mother," Hae-won stepped forward. "I’m thankful that you’ve been friends with Hwa for so long and put up with him even though he’s very inclined. I know he’s not a trouble maker but I hope he never caused you guys any trouble."
