Together Apart: Her White Moonlight Has Returned Too-Chapter 170: Are You Going to Get a Room?
Vera Yves sniffed the alcohol on her, "How much did you drink?"
"Vera, the best way to forget a relationship isn’t to delete it, but to replace it!" Linda Young leaned toward her, "If Miles Monroe can rekindle with Jane Shea, why can’t you date a younger guy?"
Vera Yves knew she was truly drunk, and asked the server for a bottle of water.
Amidst the increasingly enthusiastic screams, the performance on the stage ended.
"Sis! Did you really come to see my show?" Nathan Norton asked, draping only a coat over himself and still wearing stage makeup, looking at her with surprise, "Did I look handsome just now?"
Vera Yves ignored his question and asked worriedly, "Can your body handle such intense exercise?"
"Sis, I found that doctor using the contact you gave me." Nathan Norton said with excitement, "He told me to practice the Eight Pieces of Brocade every day and prescribed medicine for me. I feel that my physical condition is much better now."
As he spoke, Nathan Norton showed off his arm muscles, "Sis, touch it, my muscles are solid."
Seeing Nathan Norton’s eager look for praise, Vera Yves, unable to resist, touched it and sincerely evaluated, "They’re indeed quite solid."
For some reason, she felt a bit cold behind.
Nathan Norton’s cheeks visibly reddened, "Sis, I heard you broke up with Miles Monroe, can you consider me?"
Before Vera Yves could answer, Linda Young leaned over, hugging Vera Yves, "Say yes, boys in this age range are much better in bed than thirty-year-old old men!"
Nathan Norton’s face turned even redder, and Vera Yves really wanted to cover Linda Young’s mouth, "What happened to provoke you?"
No one expected Linda Young’s eyes to fill with tears at that comment, as she drank another glass of wine, "Zeke Sterling is getting married and sent me an invitation."
Vera Yves was about to comfort her when she heard Linda Young angrily say, "Does he have a screw loose? Sending me an invitation! When we broke up, I only joked that he shouldn’t forget to send me an invitation when he gets married in the future, and I’d give him an eighty-eight thousand-dollar red envelope."
Linda Young got angrier and angrier, "Eighty-eight thousand dollars! Why doesn’t he just rob a bank? My heart hurts!"
Linda Young clung to Vera Yves without letting go, "Why don’t you call him and just say I’m dead! Tell him to send offerings to me if there’s anything."
Vera Yves ignored her drunken ramblings and handed her the water, "Sober up."
Nathan Norton looked at Vera Yves, hesitated for a moment, then, looking at her beautiful face, took a deep breath, "Sis, I want to offer my first time to you."
Vera Yves had just taken a sip of wine, and all of it sprayed out.
Vera Yves rubbed her temples, stood up, and went to the restroom to freshen up. She patted her cheeks and walked out of the restroom, and in the distance, she saw a figure bent over against the window.
Vera Yves hesitated for a moment, realizing he’d been bending over for too long, so she walked over.
"Are you alright?"
Hearing Vera Yves’s voice, Miles Monroe thought he was hearing things. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
With one hand clutching his stomach, he slowly straightened up, having drunk too much, his whole face red, even his eyes bloodshot, looking somewhat disheveled.
"Vera?"
Seeing him like this, Vera Yves felt as if someone had punched her in the heart. She reached out to support him, "Is your stomach uncomfortable? How much did you drink?"
How much did he drink? He didn’t know; he only thought this must be a dream, otherwise, how could she be so tenderly concerned about him?
"I’ll take you to the hospital..."
Miles Monroe suddenly hugged her tightly, whispering, "Vera, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have left you just like that. I’m sorry, how about we have only us two from now on?"
Listening to his voice, Vera Yves felt a pang in her heart, made up her mind, wanting to push him away.
Miles Monroe held her face and kissed her recklessly.
The alcohol-tinged kiss carried an unusual dominance.
Vera Yves pressed her lips firmly together, his restless attempts seeking to conquer.
Vera Yves wanted to evade, tasting a hint of salt between her lips and teeth, feeling his wet eyes, as though she suddenly lost all strength.
Her mouth was full of the taste of alcohol, and for a moment, Vera Yves felt intoxicated, but then a picture of Winston Valentine lying in a pool of blood flashed across her mind.
The pressure on her body suddenly vanished.
"Bang!" A fist landed on Miles Monroe’s face.
Vera Yves saw the man in front of her with a cold expression and finally came to her senses. Miles Monroe already had a painful stomach, and the punch knocked him to the ground, his expression filled with agony.
"Miles!" Vera Yves wanted to go over and help him.
Winston Valentine grabbed her hand, "If you don’t want me to kill him, stay away from him!"
Seeing him about to go over again, she forcefully pulled him back, weakly explaining, "He’s drunk."
"Did you also drink too much?" Winston Valentine looked at her rosy lips, his gaze filled with pain, "If I hadn’t come, were you planning to get a room at the hotel next?"
Vera Yves shivered at his words, "Is that how you see me?"
Seeing the hurt in her eyes, Winston Valentine’s reason, consumed by jealousy, snapped back.
"How can you hit people casually, Winston Valentine!" Zoe Monroe waited for Miles Monroe but didn’t see him return, so she came over and saw him lying on the ground.
She walked over to Miles Monroe and helped him up from the ground, seeing the blood at the corner of his mouth fueled her anger, "You’re just taking advantage because he’s not feeling well! Otherwise, how could you, a cripple, possibly beat him!"
"Zoe!" Vera Yves glanced at Zoe Monroe. Winston Valentine was hurt saving her, she didn’t want to hear others call him a cripple.
Theodore Xavier also happened to come over looking for Winston Valentine. Hearing Zoe Monroe’s words, he couldn’t help but say, "In truth, Winston became like this saving Miles Monroe. You Monroes have no right to call him a cripple."
Zoe Monroe’s gaze fell on him with some disdain, "I will curse if I want, if he hadn’t taken that blow back then, how could Vera be with him?"
Theodore Xavier felt somewhat guilty under her gaze.
Zoe Monroe’s gaze fell on Winston Valentine with contempt, "Sympathy isn’t love, love obtained through moral coercion is destined not to last!"
Miles Monroe was in so much pain that sweat had formed on his forehead, unable to utter a word.
Zoe Monroe supported him to leave, Miles Monroe shook his head, thoughts muddled, still unable to distinguish if this was reality or a dream.
Theodore Xavier saw Zoe Monroe having a hard time supporting Miles Monroe and followed them.
Vera Yves tried to withdraw her hand, Winston Valentine wouldn’t let go.
"If you think..."
Winston Valentine suddenly lifted her chin and kissed her lips.
Rather than a kiss, it was more like a bite, seemingly wanting to peel a layer off her lips, the lips hurt a bit, Vera Yves discontentedly pushed him.
His kisses even made her tongue ache, her brain became somewhat oxygen-deprived, and Vera Yves, her body weakened, collapsed into his arms.
Winston Valentine stroked her lips, "Want to break up? Not happening!"
Winston Valentine directly took Vera Yves to the car and ordered the driver to head to the villa.
"Linda Young’s still at the bar."
"Isn’t that muscle guy still with her?" Winston Valentine clasped her hand, "Is someone else’s muscle nice to touch?"
"You saw me already?"
"You said you were eating at home, but ended up at the bar watching that muscle guy perform." Winston Valentine leaned closer to her, lowered his voice, "If you want to see, just tell me, watching mine doesn’t cost anything."
Vera Yves backed away, Winston Valentine followed until she pressed against the seatback, unable to retreat further.
"Why did you enjoy his kiss so much?" Winston Valentine glanced at her still slightly swollen lips with mysterious eyes, "Is his kissing technique better than mine?"
