Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 835: The "Disliked" Soldier
Meatball hugged her finger, seemingly mistaking it for a carrot to chew on, but it didn't hurt.
Aurelia Shaw teased it a bit, holding it as she walked inside.
James chased to the stairway entrance, meowing, when suddenly he heard a strange "gurgle gurgle" sound behind him. He turned around to see a large, furry, black muzzle sniffing his rear. Startled and with fur standing on end, he swiftly dashed downstairs, disappearing without a trace.
Soldier innocently tilted his head, wondering: did he scare it?

Aurelia Shaw carried the pillow and blanket to the sofa.
Mason Nightshade entered and saw her kneeling on the sofa. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, her face small and exquisite, captivating even without makeup.
He embraced her from behind, burying his head in the crook of her shoulder, inhaling the sweet fragrance she exuded: "What are you doing? Planning to sleep on the sofa tonight?"
Aurelia Shaw pushed him away, "Not me, you."
"Oh?" Mason Nightshade frowned discontentedly.
Aurelia Shaw said, "At Grandpa's house, be mindful, and we haven't remarried yet, just reconciled. Even in a relationship, there's no need to sleep in the same bed every day, doing that sort of thing."
"Sleeping in the same bed, so what?" Mason Nightshade grumbled.
If he had known it would be like this, he wouldn't have let Grandpa ask her to stay.
"This counts as meeting the family; have you seen any normal couple meeting the family while sleeping in the same room?"
Mason Nightshade's brows furrowed more tightly.
Aurelia Shaw got down from his legs and stood up to avoid his impulsive nature kicking in, "Tonight, we'll sleep like this, or you can sleep in the bed and I on the sofa."
Mason Nightshade furrowed his brows again; the sofa, though high-quality, was certainly not as comfortable as the bed. Given her pampered nature, sleeping here for a night, he could guarantee she'd complain of backache and pains the next day.
"I'll sleep here."
Seeing Mason Nightshade agree, Aurelia Shaw patted his head but quickly withdrew, "Hold on, if you can't, take a walk outside. The cold weather will cool you down quickly."
Mason Nightshade gritted his teeth and glared at her gleeful expression, "If you provoke me again, you can forget about sleeping tonight."
Aurelia Shaw chuckled lightly, walking briskly to bed.
Who knew just as she stepped onto the bed, a "Woof!" sounded, and she slipped, falling onto the bed.
Behind her came Mason Nightshade's teasing voice: "Pathetic, you've had Soldier for so long and still fear it."
"Who let it in here!" Aurelia Shaw muttered.
"Do you even need to ask?" Mason Nightshade said, recalling earlier when he saw Soldier squatting at the door; it was unmistakably Grandpa's command.
Soldier always obeyed Grandpa.
Moreover, Soldier likes Aurelia Shaw, and though she fears it, Soldier wouldn't pass up this task of guarding her door.
"If you change your mind, there's still time." Mason Nightshade lounged on the sofa, lazy demeanor, eyes slightly squinted, with a hint of smile, "I promise just to hold you while sleeping, nothing untoward, alright?"
Aurelia Shaw covered her face under the blanket, replying with actions.
Soon, a hand slipped out from under the covers, grabbed the phone, and immediately retreated back into the sheets.
"Stubborn."
