Chapter 37: CMA class (2)

"I’ll go first!" Matthias jumped forward and reached ahead, instantly wind burst past them, and a dark sphere started appearing in front of his palm. πšπ«πšŽπ—²π•¨πžπ›π•Ÿπš˜π―πšŽπ—Ή.𝕔𝐨𝗺

’Isn’t his magic related to teleportation?’

The dark sphere launched forward and decimated the targets, leaving nothing behind in its sight.

’The fuck...’ All of the students looked at him shocked, including Klaus and even the instructor himself.

"I just learned this yesterday," he dusted his shoulders off like it was the most normal feat in the world.

’So his teleportation and stuff is just a side to the affinity he uses?’ Klaus tried to analyse him and his affinity.

’It could also be space-related...’ However, the dark sphere didn’t make much sense then.

"You go," he patted Klaus on the back with a smile, and all eyes turned towards him, seemingly forgetting about the spectacle that just unfolded in front of them.

Bastian snapped his fingers again, making the targets return to their original state for the second time, and he showed a thumbs up to Klaus.

’Which one to use though?’ He stepped forward and thought of which spell to use, since now he had multiple spells, except fire, he couldn’t control it without the source of a flame.

But then he remembered what Headmaster Marcus had told him after he won the tournament, ’I shouldn’t hold back, let them be scared.’

He extended his hand and readied himself, ’Let’s see this spell, Fractured Horizon!’ Klaus swung his arm in a similar pattern to Bastian, which made the instructor’s eyes widen instantly.

A similar thin vertical tear appeared in the space in front of him and it launched forward towards the targets and it cut them in half.

"..." everyone was silent as Klaus turned around to face them.

A girl’s face was shaking, another boy shuddered.

The instructor himself was lost for words, not knowing what to say, Matthias however hit him on his shoulder.

"Whoa, you perfectly used the spell the instructor did!" As soon as Matthias said that, the gazes turned into awe and envy.

"Right, did he just copy the instructor’s spell?!"

"It looked just like it!"

’Well, that didn’t make it any better,’ Klaus sighed, however, Bastian cleared his throat, diverting the attention from Klaus.

"What an amazing display of strength from the top two students!" He chuckled awkwardly as a bead of sweat rolled down his back.

"Well, uh, let’s continue, everyone should have a go!" He snapped again, and the targets became picture perfect again.

The students were still shocked, and so was the instructor, however, the class had to continue.

’Fuck, did I mess it up?’ He smiled awkwardly as Matthias kept yapping about something and being able to be the top student, however, he realised that if he held back as the number one, then students would probably continuously challenge him.

’Fuck that, I don’t want endless challenges,’ From the amount of time he spent in this world, the thing he realised was that the strong can get away with way more.

The class sped by as the students went through each on the test, no one other than Matthias and Klaus was able to destroy or cut the dolls apart.

"Well, I shall see everyone tomorrow," Bastian concluded the class without hesitating, his mind still on Klaus’s spell.

Students left through the door, leaving the field behind, ’Is he going to say something?’ As Klaus walked towards the door, followed by Matthias, he expected the instructor to speak up and say something, however, Bastian didn’t, he just stood still and smiled awkwardly.

’Whatever,’ They both stepped through the door, arriving back in the hallway of the academy, it was pretty empty now compared to earlier since many students were probably still inside or preparing for classes.

"Next up!" Matthias pulled his own timetable out of his pocket, so Klaus did the same.

"Sword weapon mastery!" He yelled as he looked at Klaus, who just stood still staring at his paper.

’Thank the heavens!’ He wanted to thank the gods who had saved him from another lecture with Matthias.

"Rune inscription and application," As soon as he said that, Matthias sighed and his smile turned upside down.

"I will see you later then..."

"Yeah, see ya," Klaus said as he watched the genuinely seemed-saddened Matthias turn and slump towards his class.

Klaus looked at the paper and searched for the classroom, ’6A...’

He went down the hallway, past a couple of students who seemed to be discussing something about politics, however, he didn’t know much, so he just ignored them.

Then he arrived in front of a dark metallic door which had 6A written on it.

’So this is it, huh?’ He stepped in front of it, and the door spread open, this time with a creamy creak.

As soon as it opened even the tiny bit, smoke started coming out, hitting Klaus in the face.

’The fuck...’ He swung his arms trying to clear the smoke as he went inside and looked around, other than him, only two students were present, and a teacher he had already seen before...

"Ah, we have anotherβ€”" She turned to face Klaus, and her smile nearly exploded off her face.

"WOAH, IT’S THE FIRST PLACE, KLAUS!" She screamed like she was his biggest fan as she rushed forward, her red hair swivelling behind her.

The two students turned to face him as well, and they seemed just as surprised.

"I didn’t have the chance to introduce myself!" She grabbed his hand and started shaking it furiously, "My name is Ravenna Ar Vyren!" She kept shaking his hand despite the introduction already being finished.

"Uh, hello, madam Ravennaβ€”"

"Just Ravenna! It’s an honour to properly finally meet you!" Klaus tried to look around the room whilst she kept shaking his hands, but most of it was still covered in smoke as the door closed behind him finally.

’There goes my escape...’ he looked ahead at the beaming lady and the two students who just smiled awkwardly at him.

’This is going to suck...for fucking sure.’
