Chapter 51: Senior Sparring (3)

Bastian stood in the principal’s office yet again; the old man in front of him seemed to be writing something onto a parchment.

"Did he accept?" Marcus looked up at him just for a quick second, then continued writing.

"Yes, but on his own terms." Bastian nodded and explained how Klaus agreed to join the senior classes.

"Haha," Marcus let out a slight chuckle whilst stroking his beard, "he is just like Gilhelm." Klaus had reminded him of his older brother, who also never agreed to things unless they went however he wanted them to.

"Yes, in a way," Bastian fidgeted with the end of his clothes, "currently he is in the class of Aurelion."

"That man is an interesting specimen, I must say," Marcus stopped writing on the parchment.

"Yes...he’s on another level even amongst the martial artists." Bastian agreed instantly, already being familiar with Aurelion’s strength.

"He was your teammate back then, when you defeated the dragon, right?" Marcus’s question made Bastian remember the old times, back when he wasn’t an academy teacher but a mercenary and an adventurer.

"Yes, even back then he was..." Bastian chuckled once with a gulp, "he was stronger than me."

Nina didn’t hesitate, not even for a second; she launched forward, not allowing Klaus to even have one second of free room.

’Mirror movement,’ however, he didn’t need so much time; using his spell, he managed to dodge her slash easily without any trouble.

"This will be interesting," Aurelion watched from the stands as numerous students cheered for Nina, rooting for her to win and defeat Klaus after the humiliation of Pollo.

Jyrana gulped once and prayed to the gods for Klaus to win.

’This won’t be easy,’ Klaus sighed as he reappeared behind Nina, who was already dashing at him again.

"Petty tricks like that," a purple hue enveloped her katana as she slashed down, "won’t work against me."

Klaus managed to dodge in time; however, the slash using the aura left a gigantic scar in the training grounds, debris flying everywhere as a dust cloud covered the spectators from seeing anything.

"Woah!"

"She is insane, dude!"

"Is this even a spar at this point?!"

Many students cheered; the dust slowly cleared, and both Nina and Klaus stood still, facing each other.

"Petty tricks?" Klaus asked back with a chuckle. "There is no such thing as a petty trick in a battle." He leaned forward and disappeared again; he kept reappearing and disappearing around Nina; however, he restrained himself from committing to an attack.

Nina’s katana was enveloped in a purple hue again as she started spinning around like a tornado, the wind suctioning Klaus forward toward her.

’Is she using martial arts without saying the name?’ He kept teleporting backwards as the tornado thing kept sucking things in; leaves from the trees were already hovering above them.

’So that’s why she is a genius.’ Klaus planted his feet onto the ground and stood still, resisting the pull, but Nina didn’t wait for him.

Out of the tornado, a purple slash launched towards him.

’Fuck,’ He barely managed to dash away using mirror movement; however, he felt a warm surge of blood gushing down his arm; he felt it and heard it dripping onto the ground as he kept teleporting, the familiar scent of iron filling his nostrils.

’Fuck that,’ He kept dashing around, making Nina unable to follow his movements.

’Fractured Horizon,’ From an angle Nina wasn’t able to see, Klaus launched the slash toward her, cutting the tornado in half; the purple hue instantly vanished as Nina tried to dodge; however, the cut left a scar on her torso, making blood gush out.

Both of them dashed forward again, but they were stopped. "Damn it," Aurelion dashed forward and released his aura, freezing both of them in place.

’The hell,’ Klaus nearly collapsed under the pressure as his arm kept bleeding. Nina was the same, blood gushing out of her torso as her legs shook, barely managing to stand still.

"It’s a draw," Aurelion announced, making the entire training ground fall silent.

Klaus’s eyes twitched at the word. He didn’t like losing, but a draw was even worse.

"We can still fight," he clutched his hand, holding down the scar to try and stop the bleeding.

"Yes, we can..." Nina clutched her stomach, but despite that, her blood still kept gushing out in small waves through her fingers.

"Jyrana, take both of them to the infirmary," Aurelion said. As soon as he said that, Jyrana dashed forward, first of all grabbing onto Klaus, then Nina. Both of them tried to resist, but Aurelion released his aura again, making them stop instantly.

’God damn it.’ Klaus wanted to keep going, but his arm was bleeding profusely now, so was Nina, though.

Jyrana dashed through the training grounds, leaving behind the students and everyone, except for the two.

Her speed was insane, like she was running for her own life as she dashed through the academy hallways, both of them under her arms until they arrived in front of a pure white door.

She pushed open the door with her feet, and Klaus felt a sudden surge of mana wash over them instantly.

’Fuck?’ On the inside, it felt like pure mana was being used by someone.

The inside was purely white, almost like they were in heaven. Multiple beds were laid out with white sheets, and there was a door at the end of the room.

"Madam Biria, I brought two! They are injured!" Jyrana yelled as she laid the two off to a bed on the side.

Instantly, the door at the end of the room swung open, and an extremely tall, black-haired lady stepped out, her hair reaching all the way down to the ground.

Her red eyes swung over onto the two instantly as Jyrana dipped outside without saying anything.

"Oh dear god," she said as she arrived in front of them. Her outfit was just like a normal nurse’s, so Klaus didn’t assume much.

"Let’s begin with her," Biria said as her face churned when she looked at Nina’s gushing wound.
