Chapter 30: Ch 30: Backbitching is bad for health

A vein popped on Ye Tian’s forehead, his calm smile hiding his growing irritation.

"Oh, really?" freёwebnoѵel.com

It took every ounce of restraint for Ye Tian not to lash out as the marbles unknowingly badmouthed him... the very lord they claimed to have served.

Ye Tian’s anger simmered just below the surface as he pressed Yin and Yang for answers.

His tone was calm, but each word carried a sharp edge.

"But what do you mean by past? Did he... die?"

Yang scoffed, his golden aura shimmering faintly.

"Die? That bastard doesn’t have the decency to just die! No, he disappeared, that’s what happened. One moment, he obliterates the entire cosmos, and the next? Vanished."

"Obliterated the cosmos? And you call him your lord?" Ye Tian asked, his voice laced with skepticism.

Yin chimed in, his dark energy swirling ominously.

"Oh, don’t get us wrong. That demon didn’t care about titles. He didn’t need them. His actions spoke louder than any honorific. The cycle of reincarnation? Total chaos. Souls had nowhere to go. The heavenly dao? Obliterated. Even the great chaos trembled in his wake. And after causing all that havoc, the bastard just vanished. Left us with this mess."

Yang added with a bitter chuckle...

"Oh, and let’s not forget his attempt to play human. Said he wanted to ’experience mortality.’ Ended up destroying everything instead. What a joke of a supreme ruler."

Ye Tian’s head throbbed.

A vein visibly pulsed on his temple as he tried to process their words.

"So, what you’re saying..." he began, his voice strained with controlled fury...

"is that your so-called lord was powerful enough to annihilate everything on a whim... and you think it’s acceptable to insult him behind his back?"

Both Yin and Yang burst into mocking laughter.

"Hah! What do you know, kid? That bastard was the cruelest of them all. One slip-up, and entire worlds were reduced to ash. We didn’t call him a ticking time bomb for nothing!" Yang sneered.

Yin added with equal venom...

"A true asshole, that one. Supreme ruler my ass. He wanted to become human, and look where that got us! Chaos, destruction, and oh, let’s not forget his stellar disappearing act."

That was the final straw. Ye Tian’s patience shattered like glass.

His hands trembled...not with fear, but with the effort it took to contain his wrath.

"So..." he began, his voice low and dripping with menace...

"you’re saying he was cruel, merciless, and a ticking time bomb? And yet you sit here mocking him like cowards? Behind his back?"

Their laughter stopped abruptly as they noticed his shift in demeanor.

Yang’s golden aura flickered uneasily, while Yin’s dark energy coiled like a snake preparing to strike.

"Enough chatter, mortal..." Yang snapped, his voice carrying a commanding echo.

"Bow down to us nine times and accept us as your masters!"

"Bow down?" Ye Tian repeated, his voice rising.

"Bow down to you? Hah!" His lips curled into a mocking grin.

"How about you two fuck off instead?"

Both Yin and Yang froze, their energies momentarily stuttering.

"What did you just say, mortal?" Yin growled, his voice laced with disbelief.

"A mere mortal dares to speak to us like this?" Yang snarled.

Their combined auras erupted in a show of force, trying to crush Ye Tian under their immense pressure.

The air around him warped, the ground cracked, and the oppressive weight bore down like a mountain.

"Yin..." Yang said, his tone cold...

"shall we simply take over his body? It’s wasted on this insolent fool."

"I was thinking the same thing..." Yin replied, his dark energy sharpening like blades.

But before they could act, Ye Tian started laughing.

The sound was low at first, but it grew louder, echoing across the ethereal plane. Yin and Yang exchanged uneasy glances.

"What’s so funny?" Yang demanded.

Ye Tian’s laughter stopped abruptly, his expression turning cold and predatory.

"What’s funny? You two. You really think you’re in control here, don’t you?"

Yin narrowed his eyes.

"What are you talking about, mortal?"

Ye Tian straightened, his aura shifting subtly. A sinister smile spread across his face.

"Let me ask you something. Since when did mere marbles like you start thinking you were so high and mighty?"

Both Yin and Yang froze. Their auras flickered uncertainly, the sheer confidence in Ye Tian’s tone unsettling them.

"This mortal... something’s not right..." Yang whispered to Yin.

"I’m starting to think he’s not as powerless as he seems..." Yin replied, his voice trembling slightly.

Ye Tian ignored their murmurs, clapping his hands together once.

The world shifted.

The golden and black landscapes of Yin and Yang’s domain vanished, replaced by pitch-black void.

The air itself seemed to stop moving, leaving behind an eerie silence.

"What... what just happened?" Yang stammered, his voice filled with genuine fear.

Yin’s gaze darted around, his confidence wavering.

"This... this is void energy. No signs of life or death. It’s... impossible."

Before they could process what was happening, a massive structure appeared before them... a towering mountain made entirely of corpses.

The sight made even Yin and Yang flinch.

"Yin..." Yang whispered, his voice barely audible...

"am I seeing this right, or is that... the Supreme Creator’s corpse at the base of the mountain?"

Yin swallowed hard.

"Wait... no. Don’t tell me... It’s him?"

At the very top of the grotesque tower, a figure sat on a throne forged from black energy.

His form was shrouded in shadow, his eyes glowing a demonic red with slit pupils that radiated malice.

Black energy swirled around him, materializing into nine colossal dragons whose heads loomed ominously behind him, their sheer size dwarfing even the mountain of corpses.

The figure leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand, his gaze cold and unrelenting.

"No..." Yang whispered, trembling.

"It can’t be... him."

The man on the throne slowly stood, his black outfit rippling with energy.

The ground beneath his feet cracked as his aura surged, swallowing the void in waves of darkness.

Yin took a step back, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Yang... we’re fucked."
