Tower: Rebirth of the Absolute Demon-Chapter 37: Ch : Encounter with the pile of bones
Chapter 37: Ch 37: Encounter with the pile of bones
The surge of energy flowed through him, strengthening his qi reserves.
His body, though smeared with blood, radiated vitality as his wounds healed completely.
He stood, brushing off his clothes, his grin widening.
"That hit the spot. Thanks for the meal."

The fifth floor of the hospital, once a sanctuary for the unawakened, had turned into a nightmare.
Previously, this floor housed patients suffering from severe injuries and chronic diseases, individuals who had no connection to mana or the powers of awakening.
They had sought refuge here, relying on the hospital’s care to sustain their fragile lives.
Above them, the awakened had congregated on higher floors, forming their own defensive lines against the unknown dangers the trials posed.
However, as the countdown ended, everything changed.
Mana gathered unnaturally at the heart of the fifth floor’s hallway, condensing into a swirling portal.
Its color was white... a phenomenon completely unheard of.
The portal didn’t follow the usual dungeon classifications... no red for high-ranking monsters, no black for boss-level threats.
This anomaly was unprecedented.
Before anyone could react, the portal’s gravitational pull activated, dragging every individual... awakened and unawakened alike... into its depths.
Screams echoed as they were forcibly transported into the unknown, leaving behind an empty floor.
But even as the players vanished, monsters began pouring out of the portal, spilling into the hospital.
Unlike typical dungeon breaks, this one didn’t wait for a collapse.
The creatures emerged in an unending stream, spreading chaos and death.
Unaware of the chaos above, Ye Tian stepped onto the second floor.
His footsteps echoed in the empty halls, the eerie silence amplifying the sound.
The second floor was immaculate, unnaturally pristine.
It was as though the world itself had forgotten this place existed.
"Not a single speck of dust..." he muttered, narrowing his eyes.
"This isn’t normal."
He moved cautiously, checking every room, every corner.
There were no signs of life... no monsters, no corpses, nothing.
The entire floor felt like a staged illusion.
"Strange..." he murmured, his instincts on high alert.
He pressed on, climbing to the third floor.
Yet, it was the same... empty, lifeless, and eerily clean.
By the time he reached the fourth floor, frustration gnawed at him.
"How is it possible that nothing’s here? Did something wipe everything out?" he wondered aloud.
The moment his foot touched the fourth floor, a sudden gust of wind swept past him.
It wasn’t a natural breeze... it carried with it an aura of death and decay, a sinister energy that made his hair stand on end. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
His eyes widened.
"This... This is Yin Qi," he whispered, his voice laced with both awe and urgency.
Yin Qi, also known as demonic or deathly energy, was the cornerstone of demonic cultivation.
It was the very foundation upon which his powers had been built.
The presence of Yin Qi in this mana-dominated world was nothing short of a miracle.
"Finally..." he muttered, his lips curving into a smile.
Without wasting a second, Ye Tian sprinted toward the source of the energy.
His senses sharpened, guiding him like a hunter chasing its prey.
The energy grew stronger as he approached the stairs leading to the fifth floor.
The moment he stepped onto the fifth floor, his instincts screamed at him to stop.
Danger.
Death.
Move, and you die.
Ye Tian froze mid-step.
His body remained still, but his eyes darted around, scanning the area with precision.
In the far corner of the hallway, he spotted it... a faint distortion in the air, rippling like a mirage.
"Found you..." he muttered under his breath.
Not wasting a moment, Ye Tian discarded the box he had been carrying.
Gathering a quarter of his Qi, he infused it into the Orc Warrior’s weapon and hurled it toward the distortion with all his might.
The weapon tore through the air, aiming directly at the anomaly.
But just before it could land, a barrier shimmered into existence, deflecting the attack effortlessly.
A chilling voice echoed through the hallway, laced with malice and disdain.
"Who would’ve thought... A mere mortal could sense my presence?"
A system window appeared before Ye Tian.

Another window followed.

[Monster Name - Arch-Lich]
[Rank - Death]

Ye Tian’s expression didn’t falter.
"An Arch-Lich, huh? It’s been a while since I’ve dealt with one of your kind... In online games I mean... " he said, his voice calm but cold.
Through the shimmering distortion, the figure of the Arch-Lich began to materialize.
Its skeletal frame was draped in decayed robes of black and crimson, adorned with intricate symbols of death.
A staff carved from bone rested in its bony hand, its head crowned with a glowing black orb pulsating with necrotic energy.
The creature’s hollow eyes burned with malevolent light as it regarded Ye Tian.
"You... You’re different," it hissed, its voice echoing unnaturally.
"But you reek of arrogance."
Ye Tian smirked, unbothered by the overwhelming aura.
"Arrogance? Coming from a sack of bones? How ironic..." he retorted.
The Arch-Lich let out a raspy laugh, the sound grating against the walls.
"You dare mock me, mortal? Do you even comprehend the power before you?"
Ye Tian tilted his head, his smirk widening.
"Power? All I see is a pile of bones pretending to be scary..." he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
The Arch-Lich’s staff glowed ominously, crimson flames swirling around its tip.
"Your insolence will cost you dearly," it snarled, its aura intensifying.
The air grew heavy as necrotic energy filled the hallway, the ground beneath them cracking and blackening.
But Ye Tian stood unfazed.
"I’ve faced beings far more terrifying than you..." he said, his eyes gleaming with confidence.
