Tower's Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing-Chapter 95: We need you
Chapter 95: We need you
The selection process was not too complicated.
The agency had selected a number of appropriate individuals that fell into the criteria that was presented to the agency and all the people that were connected by the agency were gathered in one spot, in a rented office in the middle of the city.
It wasn’t a limited interview though.
Even though the individuals selected by the agency had prior access to the final interview, they had also advertised themselves as well as how they were different, and many more people had come for the walk-in interviews.
There was a long line of interested people currently gathered on this office floor with their unique resumes.
The positions that they were recruiting for weren’t limited to just Player positions. In this day and age where the normal public faced various challenges, their guild was also recruiting normal administrative members.
They were offering good compensation and salary for various positions, however, as it was with most of the guild positions, the competition was fierce.
"There’s only three vacancies. Three. I must get one. I must."
"I have XX experience and I’ve worked with XX corporations for 15 years. I like the XX aspect of this guild."
"Trailblazer means the pioneer, the one who initiates things. I am confident that I will be able to..."
Many people were preparing for their interview as they waited in the lobby, keeping everyone else around them in check.
Those who were aiming for the non-player positions were keeping an eye on the ones who were there for the same job roles.
A unique kind of peer-evaluation was taking place in this lobby, and as everything was happening, the ones watching it from a different floor, the parents of the two who were taking these interviews, couldn’t help but think back to the old times.
There were more than enough jobs nowadays to nearly erase joblessness. If someone couldn’t find work in one field, it was pretty common for them to go to a different field and climb up to where they wanted from there.
Even someone working in a coffee shop could build their own fortune if they had enough motivation, passion, and knowledge.
It was not complicated with all the available resources and government help, but that was only the matter before the appearance of the tower.
Things weren’t the same anymore.
People were fighting everywhere for jobs. Guilds and even small places that offered IX as their primary pay were bombarded by these job-seeking segments.
The government and the association were constantly working for them, but even they could not do much on their own. That was also one of the primary reasons the presence of guilds with proper regulations was encouraged.
If one had money and resources, sharing it with others through certain channels like guilds and special businesses was as good as helping the public directly.
"Next!"
Still, the competition in the field of common jobs and player jobs was the same.
"Why do you want to work as an admin, Mister?"
KiRA and Lizzy were the primary interviewers while their four parents were running background checks on everyone that was coming for the interviews.
They had the confidential facial recognition tech that they acquired from the military recently and with it, they were profiling everyone there with great details.
The ones who were there for the interviews would not realize that right now, but they were not in a simple interview for a simple guild.
This was a tad bit special place— they would realize it when they reached their base of operations though.
"I believe I have the skills and experience required for this position. I can put in more work if you wish. Doing overtime would not-."
"You misunderstand us, Mister... Phil." KiRA, sitting in a practically empty room that would offset anyone who had prepared themselves mentally for an interview, Shook his head at the person sitting before him.
He was wearing a professional suit. Even though he was comparatively younger than many of the applicants, he was a player.
Everyone was aware that the two of them were high-ranking players, and that the guildmaster was one of the few [Rank-7] present in this city.
The highest-ranking player that was applying today and was selected by the agency was a [Rank-3] so the disparity between ranks was obvious.
And even among them, KiRA was especially difficult to deal with.
"The question isn’t whether you’re fit for this job or what you can do. It is Why. Why the administration and not the player section, Mister Phil?"
Sitting before KiRA was the same as sitting before someone who had not decades but centuries of experience with ’work’.
It wasn’t just about his aura, his natural presence, the way he presented himself, this entire room that was arranged to enhance his presence, and the dominating aura that he had was the same as a ’king’ of the old times. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
Everyone who displayed tremendous confidence before walking into this interview room started sweating the moment they saw him sitting before them without a desk in between them.
Just the fact that they needed to sit right before him and look him in the eyes scared off many of the interviewees.
But however afraid they were of him, they didn’t really feel the urge to leave the interview room.
Perhaps there was something in this place that prevented them from sitting up without his permission, or perhaps it was something else.
They could not quite understand it, but this whole interview wasn’t exactly something a normal guild recruiter would arrange.
"Umm... I’m not a player. And besides, are there any open positions for someone like me in that section in the first place?"
The person before them was not a player... yet. He was a normal person who had lost his job and had been jobless until now.
He needed this position and the pay they were offering. He needed to feed his wife and young daughter.
Even if he didn’t get any administrative jobs, he was prepared to beg for cleaning work. He needed something, anything.
After trying for so long and not succeeding at all, he was left with only despair.
He did not like the state they were in, and he wanted to change that.
"Of course, there is a position for someone like you, Mister. As a matter of fact, We need you." When KiRA looked at him with the eyes that truly wanted him, there was only one thing this person sitting before him wanted to do.
"It will be difficult to keep up with the players but you will receive better benefits-." Even before KiRA finished his sentence, the person grabbed his hands with tears in his eyes.
"I’ll do it." He had not seen the documents yet, and he wanted to work for this person, for KiRA who wasn’t even lying this time.
He really needed him.
"Wait. Don’t jump to conclusions-."
"It is alright!"
KiRA wasn’t even using his temporary unique stat <Desire> on this person. The man, the husband, the father was simply just that desperate right now.
"No, Mister Phil. Please listen to me very carefully." KiRA stopped the person first. Even though he was ready to accept the position, KiRA had not yet told him what position he was talking about.
He needed to know about it first so that he could truly understand the weight that he was going to carry on his shoulders going forward.
"Ah... apologies for the misconduct. I didn’t mean to be rude." The man quickly understood his mistake and sat back in his seat.
He had deep gray eyes, and red hair that was as natural as it could be. He was in neat clothes and above all else...
"I want you to be the vice-Guildmaster of Trailblaze, Mister Philip Home Anagram, or should I call you by your old nickname, Sir Chief Secretary?"
This wasn’t a normal individual even though he wasn’t a player.

============
He wasn’t fated to awaken so early. If it weren’t for KiRA’s authority, no one would have known the true value of this gem of a person either.
He used to be in a high position within one of the top manufacturing firms in the city under the old owner who died during the tutorial.
He was respected and treated highly, but after the appearance of towers and players, people paid more attention to them instead of ghosts of the past like him.
He tried to find a home but in the end, there was nowhere he could turn to with many people in the industry having either fallen during the tutorial or shifting their focus to the mainstream things.
Non-players like him had no value in this new world. But, in the eyes of KiRA, that was not the case.
"Are you ready to take on this responsibility, Mister Phil?"
He was speechless.
But even though this was the most unexpected walk-in interview of his life, he did not want to reject him just yet.
"Can I know more about this?"
As someone who knew the impact of getting into trouble with shady people and documents, he knew he needed to be careful here.
He was going to choose to join anyway, but the two of them were probably going to spend a few good minutes chatting over it... and they did not have that kind of time.
"Here’s the document. Please go through this and we should meet again tomorrow, does that sound good?"
Izzy would kill him if he dragged these interviews for longer than a day so he needed to work things out quickly.
There were still many that he needed to go through to find the diamonds that did not know their worth yet.
The vice-guildmaster wasn’t the only place they needed to fill. There were still many more and, all of that needed to be done Today itself.
