Transmigrated As An SSS Ranked MILF Overlord-Chapter 27: Bloom
Chapter 27 - Bloom
'...The power to destroy the realm.'
The words echoed in Steve's mind like a whisper carried on cold wind.
A shiver crawled down his spine, uninvited and unshakable. He blinked, and his vision trembled slightly.
His fingers twitched. Then his gaze dropped to his hand, slowly raising it to eye level.
There was nothing there.
No radiant glow. No arcane symbol pulsing under his skin. Not even a flicker of energy. Just a palm, pale and trembling slightly.
'What the hell is this?' he thought, a frown tugging at the corners of his lips.
'I don't feel anything at all...'
The words she'd spoken earlier hung in the air, heavy with implication.
"I'm as strong as an Eternal Class Sorcerer..." he whispered to himself, then clenched his jaw.
You see, in this world, sorcerers were divided by power and reputation—ranked into four distinct classes.
☆Rookie class (Rank 4)
☆Fallen (Rank 3)
☆Awakened (Rank 2)
☆Eternal (Rank 1)
Eternal was the pinnacle, the untouchable. Beings so powerful they were considered demi-gods among men.
The idea that he—Steve—had somehow reached that peak so abruptly made no sense.
'That's so...' he thought again.
'This can't be real. I haven't even completed the harem mission I gave myself before awakening magic... So how the hell did I get this power already?'
He swallowed hard, heart beating like a drum. The thought formed slowly, creeping through his mind like frost.
'If this is true... then it makes sense. That would be the only reason why the author's notebook let me write such a rule about getting magic so plainly without tweaking it.'
His brows furrowed deeper.
'But am I really an Eternal Class? If so, then why do I feel so damn... weak? And what the hell is "the son of hades"?'
His gaze lifted to the queen witcher once again. Her silver eyes watched him closely, unmoved.
The silence between them was weighty, pulling him deeper into uncertainty.
He gulped. Loudly.
"I'm... an Eternal Class Sorcerer." he muttered, almost like a question.
The Queen Witcher's hair cascading down her shoulder as she lifted a hand, waving it ever so gently.
"No, not exactly." she said calmly.
"You possess the potential to reach him."
Steve's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Reach him?"
"I don't know why..." she continued.
"...but I don't feel a single aura from you at this moment, since we haven't made any form of bodily contact. Not the faintest trace of magical energy. It's strange."
She lowered her hand and exhaled, her expression hardening just slightly.
"I can only read it when we touch." she explained.
"That's part of my gift as a sorceress—I can see the hidden abilities of others. And you..." Her voice dipped an octave.
"...you have the cursed ability prophesied to destroy the realm."
Her eyes sharpened. Her voice, now edged with tension, became unmistakably cold.
His breath caught.
'She sees me as a threat...'
The realization hit him like a falling boulder. His stomach twisted into knots.
'Oh no...is she...She's thinking of killing me.'
He raised both hands quickly, forcing a smile that trembled at the corners.
"No, no, no!" he blurted out. "I wouldn't do such a thing. I swear! I love the realm—
'Mostly because of the MILFs.' He thought.
"...I'd never destroy it...not that I can anyway-"
"It doesn't matter what you love." she replied, her tone flat.
"According to the prophecy... when the Son of Hades returns, he destroys the realm. Everything he deems unfit to survive is consumed in his flames. That's his fate. His end. And who am I to claim that the prophecy is false?"
Steve opened his mouth, only to close it again. He stepped back. The weight of her presence pressed into his chest like a stone slab.
"I wouldn't hurt anyone. For real. Please, I mean it...I'm a really nice guy. You've gotta-" he said, voice softer now, more pleading.
The Queen Witcher took one step forward.
And then another.
Each one sending a tremor through the floor of his heart.
Her figure drew closer, and her overwhelming aura began to swell.
Fear gnawed at the edges of his mind, inching in with each breath.
But then—she stopped.
Her expression shifted. The tension melted away like snow beneath the sun. A slow, warm smile spread across her face. She leaned forward slightly.
Her chest—ample, soft, and barely restrained—bounced subtly with the movement, pressing against the fabric of her violet robes.
Steve's eyes flicked downward before he could stop them.
And then back up—quickly.
Her gaze caught his. Unblinking.
"I know." she said simply.
He blinked.
"Huh?"
"I know you're not like the one in the prophecy. That's why I'm confused." she admitted, her voice gentler now.
"There's no easy way to say this..."
She glanced away for a second, as if weighing her words.
"There's a gruesome battle happening right now between us and the Magic beasts." she began.
"And... it's not going well. Not at all."
She paused, then gave a soft sigh.
"We could just ignore all this, let things unfold. After all, the prophecy speaks of a raging monster, the Son of Hades, born to destroy the world. But you..."
"...when I read your mana levels, I was also shown your emotions and thoughts, atleast momentarily....and with that I could tell that...you don't radiate rage. Or madness. Or even hostility."
Her eyes narrowed, studying him.
"If a man has broken the natural order and awakened as an Eternal Class sorcerer, one with the cursed ability to destroy the realm... then tell me, why would I destroy you now?"
Steve stared at her, jaw slightly slack.
"I... I don't understand."
She lifted her chin, then took a puff from the slender pipe at her waist.
"Damn." she muttered, smoke curling past her lips.
"Here's the thing. You have one of the most dangerous abilities in existence, the power of hades. But right now? The realm needs people like you more than ever."
A beat passed.
"Now, I could destroy you right now that you haven't awakened." she said, voice unwavering.
"Or maybe wait until you fully awaken and then I'd still do it.... Or... we could use you. Help us win this war, and I'll spare your life."
She smiled again, this one warmer, almost teasing.
"It's just a simple deal. You help us. You follow my orders. You enroll in the Arcane Bloom Academy of Magic. You train with the other sorcerers and witches to become a real sorcerer. And if you stay loyal to me and the realm... I'll protect you."
Steve swallowed hard, the lump in his throat near choking him.
"And if I say no?" he asked.
Her answer came without a heartbeat of hesitation.
"Then I'll kill you. Right here. Right now."
Her tone was soft. But her words? Sharp enough to pierce steel.
He stared at her, wide-eyed.
And in his mind, chaos erupted.
To many, this might have sounded like punishment, or at best, an ordeal. But to Steve? It was an opportunity.
Yes, he was being forced to become a soldier for the Queen witcher, but in truth, it wasn't just a total bad outcome to his journey to the capital.
'Let me get this straight... she's forcing me to become a mage, join some magical academy filled with only women, and fight mystical beasts...?'
A slow smirk crept into the corners of his lips.
'Every otaku's dream...'
His thoughts spun with unchecked enthusiasm.
'Milf mages. Big asses. Forbidden spells. I might die in the process, but hell... what a way to live.'
His gaze slowly rose to meet hers. His mouth opened. The fear was still there, but beneath it... a spark.
A decision.
"I accept." he said softly.
"I'll go to the Arcane Bloom Academy."
