Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 233: The Survivors [ 2 ]
"Who the fuck’s that ridiculous looking guy? A friend of yours, Kevin?"
I narrowed my eyes at Melina’s words.
"Just focus on repairing the wall. It seems like he’s here to help us, and he’s really strong. His outfit is also pretty cool."
"That’s cool to you?" she deadpanned.
Then, she let out a sigh.
"Whatever... I’m going to repair the wall now."
With that, she went ahead singing that weird tune and repairing the wall as well as the barrier. As for me, I just stared ahead at that masked man who at first taunted the demons and was now jumping around and killing each one of them effortlessly.
The way he fought was a little weird... It was almost like he knew the moves of every demon, as well as the Gifts that they’d use. I only saw Amon do something like this, but I could never imagine Amon wearing clothes like that.
So while I admired the fight, the wall was eventually fixed. With the finishing touches, she also fixed the barrier.
"Phew. Alright, that’s it for this side. But we’re probably going to need to get out of here, since the demons clearly figured out how to breach the headmaster’s barrier."
"Also, let’s hope that guy’s not some kind of masochist who’s doing this just to get our favor, then kill us later."
I shrugged. Then Melina and I turned back, and to our genuine surprise, that same masked man from before was standing right in front of us, scythe on his back and his arms crossed.
"Well, I am a masochist, but I’m not really here to kill any of you. My name’s Rain, and I’m Amon’s friend, I guess. Nice to meet you."
Amon’s friend?
Hearing that, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. If he was really Amon’s friend, then it’s no wonder he was so strong.
Though unlike me, Melina seemed to cling onto the wrong details.
"You’re a masochist? Were you dropped on your head as a child?"
"I fell a couple of times and cracked my skull, yeah."
"Oho. My alchemist friend is a masochist too, but only because she drank a pain suppressing potion. Still, I’m sure you two would be really great friends. That is, if she’s still alive," Melina said.
He let out a chuckle.
"I’d never say no to matchmaking. How big are her breasts?"
"D cup."
"Oooh~! Score!"
...What’s happening here?
"What about her—"
"Could we get serious, please?" I chimed in, cutting them off.
Both of them suddenly turned toward me and pouted.
"Amon said there’s a killjoy going by the name of Kevin. I take it that’s you?"
Killjoy?
"I’m Kevin."
"Mhm. Good, in that case, he told me that you should leave Aldraazan as soon as possible. The demons are soon going to discover the sewer paths under the academy that you take to go outside."
He let out a sigh, then continued:
"I don’t have to tell you what’ll happen once they do. Anyways, Amon sent me here to escort you lot through the sewers and out into the mountains where he prepared some shelter for you and the survivors."
The demons are going to find the paths...?
I thought that might be the case, but I really hoped it wasn’t, since half the city had collapsed. The sewers along with it. There were only a couple of paths left, and we’re really lucky one of those paths leads us outside.
But if he’s saying demons are going to find a way in, then everyone here is going to die. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
A serious look appeared on my face as I nodded at him.
"I understand. I’ll gather everyone then and we can leave soon."
Rain nodded with a slight smile.
But just then, Melina chimed in:
"Where’s that bastard Amon anyway? Couldn’t he just come here and snap his finger or something and wipe out every single demon here?"
"He’s currently busy preparing for a meeting. Basically, he’s training his Telekinesis since he wants to reach the next level in his technique."
His smile widened as he raised his hand and gave us a thumbs up.
"But fear not, I sought him out and he sent me here with full confidence."
"Right... Welp, welcome aboard. Come with me to meet Isabelle. She’s a C cup, by the way."
He nodded repeatedly.
"And her waist?"
These two perverts...
I felt like a vein would pop if I stayed here any longer, so I decided to just get a move on.
I walked through the hallway, and as expected, it was really empty because of the explosion earlier. But thankfully, because of that same explosion, everyone was gathered in the giant auditorium.
At least, that’s how it sounded from outside.
A faint smile appeared on my face that I always wore around people. Then I pushed the door open.
And in that very same instant, my smile faded.
"Mama! P-Please! Can you hear me!?"
"Tsk. Someone shut that brat up already."
A few nobles stood on the stage, brandishing weapons and all sorts of Gifts at everyone else. Behind them were several bundles of food that I had brought back in the morning.
And in front, just on the edge of the stage, was the blind woman I saw earlier. Her daughter stood over her, screaming in her ear, trying to wake up her mother.
But the mother’s neck was already broken.
She was dead.
"Mama! Waaaah!"
None of the commoners even dared to step forward. Those who tried suffered the same fate. Except unlike the woman, their bodies were tossed aside so they would not mess with the food.
But just then, one of the nobles atop the stage narrowed their eyes fiercely at the daughter who was hugging her mother. Then, to my genuine surprise, the noble raised their steel spear and without any remorse threw it like some kind of javelin straight at the child.
My eyes widened at this kind of cruelty, and so I immediately made my move, crossing the distance in an instant by using my swordsmanship, then catching the spear in my grasp before it could reach the child.
It all happened so fast that the nobles were only able to react to my intervention after blinking once.
As for the noble who had just tossed his spear like a javelin?
"Hmm? Kevin Lacrosse? What are you doing here?"
He showed no remorse.
