Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 279: Partial Awakening [ 2 ]
Morr finally left the room, and I was once again left to my own thoughts. It wasn’t bad per se, but in times like these, I really wanted to know all the details.
Especially since those details involved someone I loved.
But for the time being, I felt like I was in a circle of people I couldn’t trust. Even Morr... This wasn’t the first time he failed me. I would chalk it up to incompetence had I not seen just how powerful he was firsthand.
He has ulterior motives. Whatever those motives were, they clashed with mine. And if I didn’t want that to happen, I needed him to not be able to read my mind.
It was just that the Guardian contract made us equals. If I wanted to alter the contract, Morr would know. But at a time like this, I could chalk up my wariness to me being locked up in darkness for God knows how long.
So I closed my eyes and quickly focused on the connection between the two of us. It was as stable as ever, almost like it couldn’t detect the distaste I had toward Morr.
Once I infused my intent to no longer share my memories, that very same connection reacted. It tried to push me back, telling me to stop trying to meddle.
But I didn’t stop as I made my intent that much clearer, until finally, the connection between the two of us seemed like it was on the verge of being severed. In reality, all I did was remove the ability for us to communicate with our minds, and by default, the ability for him to read my thoughts and memories.
Maybe I was way too paranoid. Maybe this would get me killed.
But whatever the case may be, I needed to find Clementine.
And for starters...
<Objective complete!>
[Objective: Survive The Realm of Despair]
[Reward: Special Ability]
[Additional Reward if at least Clementine Noir and Aliyah are alive by the end of this encounter: +150 Free Stat Points]
[Additional Reward if both Clementine Noir and Aliyah are alive by the end of this encounter: Gift Rank Increase.]
She’s alive...
I’m glad.
Knowing that I can rest easy, I decided to go ahead and put my focus on myself to make the most out of this situation and reunite with Clementine.
For starters, I put all 150 Free Stat Points straight into Vitality. With what I experienced earlier, my Vitality was at an abnormally high level now.
Then, I went ahead and used the Gift Rank Increase on the most obvious choice.
[Ding!]
[Are you sure you want to increase the rank of: ★★★Telekinesis [Master]?]
[Yes / No]
He pressed "Yes" without a single bit of hesitation.
[Ding!]
[Confirmed...]
[★★★Telekinesis [Master → Grandmaster]
][Your Telekinesis has reached an adequately high level for you to accept the rewards of your previous contract.]
[Elise, The Divine Beast of Chaos’s Contract.]
[Description: You must free her sister. In exchange, Elise, The Divine Beast of Chaos, will grant you the: Supreme Telekinesis Technique - Black Hole]
[Ding!]
[You have gained: Supreme Telekinesis Technique - Black Hole]
My eyes widened as I didn’t expect to get something like this, especially not now. Yet as a pitch black book appeared in front of me and then traveled straight into my heart, I knew it was legit.
And to make it official, I went into my Mind Realm and gave the black book a quick look. It had no cover, nor any markings to boot. Yet when I opened it, I was surprised to see a detailed description of how this Black Hole technique worked.
The first page alone made my head hurt, making me realize that it’d take longer than a few minutes to comprehend this whole manual.
So for now, I put it aside and focused on the last, or rather, first reward I should’ve gotten.
[Pick one Special Ability]
Physical Damage Resistance
Steel Skin
Object Morph
Blood Storage
A selection...?
Huh.
Well, at least it wasn’t hard to choose.
I didn’t need the first two, since I had Atomic Stabilization. As for Blood Storage... Why would I need it aside from the Demon King of Wrath’s trait? I wasn’t a healer. Clementine was.
So in the end, it all boiled down to Object Morph. If it was as it sounded, then I should be able to morph anything into whatever I wanted. That would also mean I could reforge my Clorafite weapons without any assistance.
I guess I’ll go with that.
[You have chosen: Object Morph]
Finally, with everything checked out, the only thing left was to check all the changes I had gone through since the last time I opened my status screen.
And the changes were much larger than I had expected.

Even my Dragon Heart went up drastically...
The biggest change though was most likely the Telekinesis. Even though it was artificially increased to the Grandmaster rank, I felt like all my control had doubled, or even tripled. My limit had increased by leaps and bounds too.
Speaking of, what exactly was my limit?
I remember the days where I struggled to lift boulders. What about now? Could I uproot entire cities?
Haha.
Welp.
It’s time to finally get out of here and see just what I’m working with.
