Chapter 140: Chapter 81: Ears

Fu Yang clearly hadn’t expected Shu Wan to agree so easily.

He paused for a moment, "Did you see clearly what I asked you to cosplay as?"

"I saw clearly, Faceless Man," Shu Wan calmly responded.

"..." Fu Yang regretted this, he should have known that with Shu Wan’s bizarre way of thinking, she couldn’t be judged by normal standards.

Now, he had dug a hole for himself, too.

Shu Wan was true to her word, since she had agreed to cosplay as the Faceless Man for Fu Yang, she actually went and watched the related anime to understand the character’s traits.

Although Fu Yang seemed calm on the surface, deep down, he was very competitive and secretly did quite a bit of preparation.

On the day of the comic expo, Fu Yang got up much earlier than Shu Wan.

With her face completely covered by the mask, Shu Wan didn’t need to do much styling, she just tidied up a bit, grabbed her clothes and props, and went downstairs.

"Where’s Fu Yang?" As soon as Shu Wan opened her eyes that morning, she heard Fu Yang’s voice downstairs, but she couldn’t see him anywhere now.

"The Young Master is in that fitting room over there," the housekeeper said, pointing to the location of the fitting room, a smile unstoppable on his face.

Shu Wan walked over, pushed open the door and took a glance, seemingly understanding why the housekeeper was laughing.

Although Shu Wan didn’t understand the modern standards for judging cosplay appearances, if it were up to her, Fu Yang had definitely exceeded those standards.

His naturally handsome features, his phoenix eyes appearing cold when not smiling, became slightly mischievous with the makeup artist’s subtle enhancement, reminiscent of a fox’s cunning.

He was dressed in a white gold-embroidered robe, the soft white fur at the collar making him appear immensely noble.

The silver-white long hair, which would be hard for others to pull off, seemed perfectly natural on Fu Yang, not overpowering his peerless looks in the least.

If it were just these, it would merely present a cold and noble image.

But peculiarly, he also wore two fuzzy ears on his head, adding a touch of cuteness to his elegant demeanor.

The material of the ears was of high quality, and Shu Wan was hardly able to resist reaching out to tug at them.

Fu Yang, who had been sitting with his eyes closed for makeup, turned his head upon hearing footsteps. Spotting Shu Wan’s gaze, he sprang up from his chair.

Instinctively, his hand moved to cover the ears on his head, but this action only exposed the long tail behind him.

Seeing him like this, for a moment, Shu Wan thought of the White Fox she once had.

It was quite cute, she had to admit.

"What are you looking at," Fu Yang said, his ear tips beginning to redden, "How come you don’t make any sound when you walk?"

"You look pretty good," Shu Wan’s eyes twinkled with a hint of amusement, "This outfit really suits you."

"Do I need you to tell me I look good?" Fu Yang couldn’t hide a small hint of pride in his tone, but he quickly subdued his smile, "Don’t get too chummy with me. Even if you compliment me, I still don’t like you."

Shu Wan smiled, "I’ll wait for you outside. Come out when you’re ready."

"Hmph." Fu Yang snorted lightly, and only after Shu Wan left the room did he turn around and hide his tail by the chair.

He should have never agreed to Zhang Yu and the others. This costume really was a blow to his illustrious and valiant image.

Shu Wan waited outside for about half an hour, and finally Fu Yang came out of the fitting room, reluctantly.

He was still covering his ears, but upon seeing Shu Wan’s outfit, a schadenfreude smile appeared on his face, suddenly making him feel not at all embarrassed.

After all, Shu Wan looked even more ridiculous than he did.

Shu Wan was covered from head to toe in a large piece of black cloth, with a mask on her face that made it impossible to see her actual face.

Fu Yang laughed, moving closer, "Oh, who is this? Can’t see the face, huh?"

Shu Wan calmly extended her hand, "I can’t see the road."

"What does your not seeing the road have to do with me?" Fu Yang gloated, "Aren’t you supposed to be all great? How come you can’t see the road just because you put on a mask? That’s not scientific."

After saying that, Fu Yang uncupped his hands from his ears and swaggered out of the living room.

Since Shu Wan was just testing him and Fu Yang didn’t appear inclined to help, she took a fine needle and poked two barely noticeable small holes in the mask.

Through the small holes, she could roughly make out the area in front of her.

Just as Shu Wan reimposed the mask, Fu Yang returned, a look of disgust as he pulled at the black cloth covering Shu Wan, "Tsk, can you not slow me down? With your turtle-like speed, by the time we get there, the comic expo would be over."
