Transmigrated: Stealing the CEO husband-Chapter 45: Drunk President Luiss
If she knew that the combination of wine and sleeping potion was gonna bring out a stubborn baby, President Luiss, she would have never used it.
"Let go,"
"No."
"Let go, President Luiss, I can’t breathe,"
"Not my problem."
"If I die here, I would very well be your problem."
"No."
In the death grip of President Luiss, while she laid, it looked like an uncomfortable night awaited her.
Soon, the movements by her side stopped, and she could sense the calm and slow breaths by her side.
She naively hoped that now that President Luiss had fallen asleep, she could escape his grip. Even in sleep, he was holding onto her as if his life depended on it.
She sighed, giving up and closed her eyes, accepting the death grip on her. Soon, sleep overtook her.
...
Luiss woke up to quiet little snores. The pleasant scent of a woman surrounded him. The soft touch and smooth breathing. He opened his eyes to Ariana, her face inches away from him.
He blinked, confused for a second. Then, the thoughts of last night filled his mind.
Wine. Ariana. Everything was a bit blurry, but what he knew was that he didn’t have more than two glasses. They could not have ended him up in such a pathetic state.
He picked up his phone and texted something to Liam.
He tried to get up, but his limbs were interlocked with Ariana. It appeared he could not get up without waking her. He tried to get her arm off but she pulled him in even tighter.
He gave up and laid down. Ariana seemed to stir in her sleep. She got comfortable, using Luiss as her human-made pillow, and hugged him with her arm and leg over his body.
"Mama, I dont wanna go. Bring me the breakfast here, " she mumbled out of habit.
Luiss frowned. According to his memory, her mother passed away years ago.
Still retaining habits of old times.
She must miss her mum
His eyes softened.
...
Ever since she had arrived in this world, she hadn’t had such a peaceful sleep. The system had been running after her with pitch forks and knives. The sleep this time was so reatful.
And what was this thing under her hand. It seemed to be hard. Ariana opened her eyes and came face to face with an alert and awake President Luiss. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
And the thing in her hand.
Her eyes trailed down. With a yelp, she let go and ran away to the opposite end of the bed.
Luiss got up slowly with a gradual smile erupting upon his lips. He made no attempt to hide his boner.
Ariana looked at him wide-eyed. She picked up a pillow and hugged it, placed it between them as a feeble shield against the lion who was at the edge of poncing at her.
"You ought to take responsibility for what you did." He said before closing in. Ariana continued to slip back until her back met the bed head post.
A hand slammed at the side of her head, closing her way to escape.
She came face to face with a mischievious smiled President Luiss.
"I dont think im the reason behind this."
"Why do you think so?"
"It’s morning wood common in all males when they are rousing from sleep to wakefulness. It is irrelevant to desire or stimulation"
"Secretary Grey, you are quite knowledgeable when it comes to male anatomy. Have you ever had a boyfriend before?"
"N-No"
"I have been awake for quite some time. I could not get up because of your tight grip on me. As for the matter of this... thing -" He took hed hand and placed it over the erection. "It’s been caused because later you keep sequencing it while in sleep"
"In sleep!" Ariana beseeched. "It’s the sleep that’s at fault here. Not me. I didn’t cause it consciously. Hence, it is pardonable. "
She slipped out of the cage Luiss had created, jumped off the bed, and went as far away from him as possible.
Luiss finally let her off. Grazing a hand through his hair, he said. "Await me at the lounge. I’ll need to take care of this first," he pointed at his lower half and made his way to the bathroom.
Ariana’s face flushed as she looked at the hand that...
She wanted to cut off that part of her body at once. Finally, having President Luiss’ permission, she made her way to the lounge and awaited his arrival.
After a bath, Luiss was fresh. Last night, he had fallen asleep in his business suit. Despite that he had a very peaceful sleep. It had been long since he had slept so soundly.
"Was this because of that woman?"
Liam reported to Luiss. "President, we tested the sample from your glass. There was nothing out of the ordinary,"
"Fine, you can leave," he gestured with his hand.
If anyone had spiked his drink, the prime suspect would have been Ariana. But she had no reason to spike his drink. especially after last night.
If she wanted to seduce him, she had many chances. Yet she declined.
If she wanted to steal something, he had been cautious. She didn’t.
He felt like Ms. Grey was a mystery. She would lure him in only to push him back. And he? He enjoyed unravelling a mystery.
...
’Ting’
"Sleeping with President Luiss. Mission completed.
Reward in inventory."
Ariana clicked at the reward.
"Voss family will,"
"This is interesting," Ariana mumbled to herself.
At that point, a newly dressed Luiss came out of his bedroom. Not stopping in his steps, he headed straight outwards.
"Stop reminiscing, Ms. Grey, we got a job to do here."
Ariana broke out of her reverie. She had already freshened up. She followed suit.
The executive staff was already awaiting them.
It was the same as before. However, this time, instead of waiting like the rest of the executive staff, Ariana came down with President Luiss.
Soon after the buffet, the first conference started.
"We are at the pre-construction phase. Voss Corporation would oversee this phase. We have the market analysts, Legal advisers, Architects and Civil Engineers. The rest of the task force we expect from you." Vice Preisdent Voss briefed. A middle-aged man with streaks of grey hair. Father of Katherine Voss.
"I heard President Voss would be residing over the meeting." Someone said.
"My father has been unwell ever since my elder brother’s death. I’ll take his position." Jonathan Voss explained the topic of the meeting. "For the construction force, Gerald Corporation would oversee Project Managers, Site Engineers and Construction workers, labourers, Masons and Carpenters."
"For the phase 3, post construction we’ll provide interior designers, finance and accounting team, marketing team to ensure sale of real estate," Luiss said.
"However, President Luiss," Gerald called him out. "Might I have troubled you, but some sources of mine told me that your internal designers have resigned, demanding a raise and not getting it?"
"Oh," Luiss said nonchalantly. "How came you know more about my company state than I do?"
At this, Gerald had the nerves to grab out a document. "I received this from an unknown source." He handed them to President Voss.
President Voss reviewed the documents. "Are they genuine?" He asked Luiss.
"Genuine or not, we can confirm by giving a call to the subsidiary."
President Voss asked his secretary to make a call. While the secretary went outside to confirm, Gerald wouldn’t stop smirking. "Tsk, Luiss, I remember the loss you gave me last time. You are going to suffer this time."
Luiss’s demeanor didn’t even falter an inch as he announced. "Time will tell."
"President Gerald, where did you get that piece of paper?" Ariana asked.
Looking at Ariana, Gerald’s eyes darkened as another scheme brewed in his mind. She had made him lose Rosaline, he would make her lose the Luiss Groups. "Why are you pretending, Ms. Grey. You are the one who told me yourself. You yourself said you are looking at the bigger picture and do not want the project to end in ruins just because of your President’s lies."
Ariana’s eyes widened. Luiss stared at her. "How dare you, Ms. Grey!" He slammed his fists on the table, feigning anger.
Ariana pretended to tremble. "I never gave anything to you, President Gerald. Why are you accusing me?"
Looking at the situation at hand, President Voss was skeptical of Gerald. Sensing a suspicious gaze upon him, he put forward an elaborate story. "At the inauguration party, we talked. That’s where I got the intel on Luiss Group’s mishap. President Luiss I was expecting you to bring this topic up on your own. Why are you hiding this?"
Ariana assumed a guilty face. "But where did you get the paper documents from? I didn’t give them to you."
Gerald was stumped at the question.
"I might have slipped out some sensitive info, but don’t tell me that I gave you my company’s official documents?"
"Who says it’s official. It’s just a copy."
"Then whose MIC number is on the document. From there, we can trace it back to the owner." Ariana suggested.
"That’s sensible." President Voss remarked. Now that President Voss had said it, it was carved in stone.
Before Gerald could stop them, he had already directed his assistant to go check for the MIC (Machine Identification Code). The assistant scanned the document and put it in Photoshop. increasing the contrast of colours, he detected the MIC of the document.
"The Printer Model and serial number. It’s the one under the Voss corporation name. This specific printer had been provided to staff under President Luis’s company. I checked and the serial number matches the printer in Ms Grey’s custody." The assistant gave the shocking news. "Date and time are yesterday afternoon at 6:22 pm."
"Right around the time we went down for dinner," Luiss remarked.
"Well, we can positively assume someone slipped into my room behind my back."
Just like this, Gerald was unmasked. Using underhanded tactics on your enemies was something self-sabotaging. Something that was looked down upon.
Gerald’s face flushed red in anger. Rage roiling inside him found no way out except for Ariana as he pinned her with his furious glare.
"Or maybe you purposely leaked the document," Gerald said.
"President Luiss can vouch for me. During that time, I was with him downstairs, sipping wine and enjoying dinner."
"She was with me," Luiss said.
Ariana drummed her fingers over the table. "Now, Mr Gerald, the question is how this piece of document printed out of my printer in my absence got into your hands."
"I told you it was an unknown source," Gerald said. He took a deep breath to calm himself. Then regained his composure. "Regardless of the methods and means of my getting hands on the documents, the fact stands that President Luiss here has no means to provide interior designing. His subsidiary that hires them is about to go bankrupt."
"Yes, looking at the bigger picture here, President Gerald has helped out a lot by timely digging out a potential disaster." Violet chimed in.
"That’s correct if true." President Voss commented.
Now all the eyes were on Gerald and Ariana. If it’s true then they would surely be kicked out of the project at worst or suffer major losses at least.
"How shameless of Luiss Groups to try deluding the Voss Corporation." Voss company secretary Elizabeth remarked. "The documents are in front of us. I don’t think there is a need for further verification. What President Gerald did was low, but he earned the merit of saving us from a potential disaster. It all roots back to Secretary Ariana. If she hadn’t hinted, we would never have known. Voss corporation would eternally be grateful to you."
On the surface, it looked like she was paying tribute to Ariana, but deep inside,e wasn’t this emphasizing the fact that Ariana had betrayed her own company, her own people?
That would rise resentment in President Luiss and her co workers and bring her end sooner than normal.
