Transmigrated: The Lycan King's Pet-Chapter 343 Breakfast (2)
I stared at him for a second longer, the simple gesture made something flutter wildly inside me. My stomach felt strange, full of butterflies that refused to calm down. My cheeks flushed in embarrassment, but I quickly turned my face away, trying to act indifferent. "I can eat alone," I said, pretending to sound firm, even though my voice came out soft and unsure.
Damon chuckled behind me, the sound low and velvety, brushing against my ear like a soft feather. "You don’t have to stress yourself over little things," he said, his voice warm and teasing. "Now, ah."
My lips trembled slightly. His tone was gentle but commanding, leaving no room for argument. Shyly, I opened my mouth, and Damon brought the spoon to my lips. The food was warm, melting softly on my tongue. His fingers brushed lightly against my lips when he withdrew the spoon, and a wave of tingles rippled down my spine.
It was cozy and sweet, the kind of moment that makes you forget everything else. The air between us felt softer, warmer, like honey slowly spreading under sunlight.
He continued to feed me patiently, one bite at a time. I didn’t even notice how much I had eaten until I began to feel full. His gaze never left my face, his expression relaxed yet full of something that made my heart stumble.
Then, out of nowhere, Damon’s lips curved into a sly smile. "You know," he started, his tone light but teasing, "last night the kitchen was turned upside down by a naughty wolf."
I paused mid-bite, frowning as I blinked at him in confusion. "What are you talking about?" I mumbled, still chewing, then obediently opened my mouth again when he lifted the next spoonful.
Damon raised a brow, amusement flickering in his eyes. "So, you don’t know who the culprit is?"
I shook my head, swallowing the food quickly. "No idea."
He sighed dramatically, though there was a small smile playing on his lips. "I see," he muttered, clearly not believing me but refusing to pursue the matter.
After what felt like a hundred spoonfuls, I patted my stomach lightly. "I’m done," I said with a satisfied sigh.
When I looked at the table, my eyes widened slightly in surprise. The dishes were nearly empty, plates wiped clean as though an army had feasted there. "Wait... did I eat all of that?" I asked, blinking in disbelief.
Damon tilted his head, his expression unreadable but the corner of his lips twitched with amusement.
"I can’t believe this..." I muttered, covering my flushed face with my hand. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
To ease my guilt, I picked up a new spoon and fork, scooped a bit of rice and meat, and turned toward him. "Ah," I said, holding the spoon up to his lips.
Damon’s eyes softened instantly, and without hesitation, he leaned forward and opened his mouth obediently. His lips brushed the spoon slightly, his tongue flicking against the metal in a way that made my breath hitch.
A smile tugged at my lips before I even realized it. Watching him eat the food I offered sent a warmth spreading through me. It felt so natural, so intimate, like we had done this a thousand times before. For a moment, we weren’t fae, wolves, or anything else. We were just... us.
’I wish this moment would last forever... wait can’t I use my magic to stay in this moment forever?’
The world outside our little bubble didn’t exist. His hand rested on my thigh, his thumb tracing lazy circles against my skin as he chewed. My heart melted a little at the sight.
It was simple, yet it felt like everything.
Just as I was about to feed him another bite, a loud knock shattered the tranquility like glass breaking.
I blinked, frozen for a second, still holding the spoon in midair.
Damon sighed quietly, his jaw tightening as if he were trying not to growl. "I’ll check it," he said finally, setting me gently aside before standing up.
I pouted in disappointment, watching him walk to the door.
The moment he opened it, a furious Theo stood there, pushing his glasses back with a sharp motion, his face twisted in pure annoyance.
Before Damon could even greet him, Theo pointed a trembling finger at him and yelled, "How could you?"
Damon blinked, clearly baffled, his brows furrowing in confusion. "What?" he asked, his tone calm but cautious.
"How could you!" Theo repeated, stepping forward, his face red with anger. "I know Ember can be annoying and a pain in the ass sometimes, but she doesn’t deserve to be cheated on! Now tell me who is the she-wolf that you brought to your room yesterday... trust me the whole pack held the tone of your music, it even tore the roof apart! Despicable!"
"Wait, what..." Damon began, but Theo raised his voice again, cutting him off.
"I’m so disappointed in you!" he snapped, his words sharp like a whip.
Damon exhaled deeply, trying to get a word in. "Theo, listen to me..."
But Theo didn’t let him. "What could that girl possibly have that Ember doesn’t?" he continued heatedly. "Even though she was like a skeleton before, at least now she looks better! She’s even kind of cute now, like a little panda! Cheating is one thing, but bringing her to your room, and f**king her to the extent of drowning the castle in your pleasure was sooo wrong, what if Ember came yesterday? You know what I’m going to tell her about this, that you are untrustworthy! And where is the naughty she-wolf, I’m sending her out of the territory right now!"
Damon’s jaw tightened visibly, his patience thinning. His blood boiled under his calm expression, the veins at his temple twitching slightly. He opened his mouth again, trying to stop Theo’s tirade.
"Theo..."
"Don’t even try to deny it!" Theo interrupted again, his tone rising even higher. "I know you, Father, and I can’t believe you’d stoop this low!"
Just as Damon was about to snap, a head popped from behind him, peeking curiously through the door.
"Who are you calling a skeleton and a panda?" I asked, my eyes narrowing dangerously, my voice cold and deceptively sweet.
The silence that followed was deafening.
Theo’s eyes widened, his entire body freezing in place. His glasses slid down the bridge of his nose, his jaw dropping open in pure disbelief.
For a second, it looked like time had stopped.
If someone had dropped a pin, it would have echoed for miles.
An imaginary crow flew over our heads, cawing once before disappearing into the awkward void that had taken over the hallway.
