Transmigrated: The Lycan King's Pet-Chapter 395 Break You
Lucas stepped toward me immediately, hunger and possession blazing openly in his eyes. He reached out, his fingers inches away from my face.
"Wait."
The Greater Evil lifted her hand, stopping him mid-movement. Her expression shifted suddenly, her brows drawing together as she studied me more closely. She waved her hand over my body, her magic covering my lower abdomen.
Her eyes darkened. "Well," she murmured slowly. "This is interesting."
Lucas turned sharply toward her. "What is it?"
"She is carrying a child," the Greater Evil said flatly.
The room fell into silence for a second, before it erupted into a mess.
Lucas let out a thunderous growl that shook the walls, his eyes flashing gold as his wolf surged dangerously close to the surface. His claws extended instinctively as rage overtook him.
"Rip the bastard out," he roared. "Right now."
The words hit me like a knife, stabbing into my chest before twisting at my heart.
"No," I croaked weakly, panic flooding my veins. "You cannot."
The Greater Evil held up her hand again, stopping him with ease. "Control yourself, Alpha Lucas," she said sharply. "This changes nothing."
Lucas spun toward her, fury burning in his gaze. "Nothing," he repeated. "That thing is Damon’s. It cannot be allowed to live."
Her lips curved into a slow, thoughtful smile. "On the contrary," she replied. "This makes things far more interesting."
I shook my head weakly, tears slipping from the corners of my eyes. "Please," I whispered. "Do not hurt him."
Lucas ignored me completely, his chest heaving as his gaze locked onto my stomach. Hatred and jealousy twisted his features into something monstrous.
"He will not live," he said coldly. "Not if it carries his blood."
My heart pounded wildly, terror clawing at my chest. ’I cannot let this happen,’ I repeated silently, over and over again. ’I will not let them touch my child.’
The Greater Evil stepped between us again, her expression calculating. "The child can wait," she said. "There are bigger matters at hand... Damon’s death, for instance."
Lucas’s lips slowly curled into a cruel smile. "Ah yes," he said softly. "The silver bullet, I’ll make sure I put it through his skull myself!"
Lucas finally lost what little patience he had left.
"Take her," he said coldly, his voice empty of any emotion.
Hands grabbed me from behind and ripped me up from the chair so fast that my head spun and my vision blurred. A sharp cry tore from my throat when pain exploded across my scalp, and before I could even steady myself, Lucas stepped forward and tangled his hand in my hair.
He yanked my head back until my neck burned and tears sprang to my eyes. My fingers curled uselessly behind me, restrained and shaking, as he dragged me closer like I weighed nothing.
"You are going to watch," he said quietly, leaning so close that his breath brushed my ear. His calm tone frightened me more than shouting ever could. "You will watch me kill Alpha Damon with my own hands. I want to see the moment the little hope you have now leaves your eyes."
My heart slammed so hard against my ribs that it hurt. I swallowed, forcing the words past the fear choking me. "Hehehe... You mean you want me to watch your death, I bet that would be satisfying as hell... what part do you think he will first rip off? Your left hand or your right foot?"
Lucas laughed softly, a cruel sound that crawled over my skin and settled deep in my bones. "Ember, you’ll regret this, I’ll break you," he replied without hurry. "Especially when you are forced to watch the people you love die... then I’ll take you.."
Before I could say another word, the Greater Evil raised her hands. "Time to take over the world." She said calmly, her face twitching slightly.
Dark magic gathered around her fingers, and a portal tore open with a violent hum, its edges flickering with corrupted energy. The smell hit me instantly, it smelled like rotten blood, my stomach churned, and I felt nauseated.
They dragged me forward.
The moment we stepped through the portal, chaos welcomed me.
The battlefield stretched out endlessly, lit by fire, clashing magic, and the sunny sun. The ground was rough and soaked in blood, bodies of both werewolves and witches littered the ground.
The werewolves collided in massive waves, their snarls ripping through the air as their claws tore into their opponents’ flesh and fangs bared at each other. Above them, the witches hovered in the sky, magic and spells crashing into one another in blinding flashes that shook the air.
My breath hitched painfully as my eyes searched desperately through the destruction for Damon.
My heart thundered in my chest the moment I laid eyes on him near the center of the battlefield.
His enormous white wolf form moved with terrifying speed and power, his fur stained red as he tore through the enemies without hesitation. Bodies fell beneath him one after another, crushed or ripped apart in seconds.
Midnight and Fenrir fought close to him, their movements sharp and deadly, they never left his side.
My chest ached so badly I thought it might tear open. Pride and fear twisted together inside me until I could not tell them apart.
That was my mate. That was the man I loved... My knight in fur.
"Really Ember?" Layla’s voice weakly echoed in my head.
I just couldn’t help but admire him. "Layla, do you have the strength for one last shift?"
Before she could answer me...
"Look at him," Lucas murmured beside me, his voice almost admiring. "So strong and fearless, but it will only make his death more satisfying."
"No," I breathed, my voice cracking as tears spilled freely down my face.
The Greater Evil stepped forward, her attention fixed on the battlefield. She lifted the golden orb high into the air, and the moment she did, the orb flared with blinding light.
A violent surge of power exploded outward, ripping through the land with an enormous force. I screamed as the pull slammed into my chest, a pain so deep it felt like my soul was being torn apart all over again. My body arched helplessly as that familiar emptiness spread through me.
The earth rumbled beneath us.
