Chapter 406: Chapter 406 I’ll Love You Forever

"Layla!!!" I burst out in a wail.

Damon grew tense, as he cuddled me back into his arms. Glaring daggers at Theo and Alaric.

"Don’t cry, my love," Damon said, snapping me back to reality. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

I quickly pulled away from his embrace, wiping my face with my palm, smearing the tears all over. "Wait a moment." I stopped him. "You mean to say I’m alive and I’m not dead? How is that possible? I remember dying, and as the seed, I was supposed to become the golden tree... how am I here?"

’... Except the woman I met in that dream-like state was real, and my meeting with Damon in the waterfall was also real.... But...’

Damon cupped my face. "The Moon Goddess grants us this life... it so happened we passed her test of love."

"Damon is right." Seraphina’s voice echoed from behind us. "You both have been in a coma for so long. We found your bodies lying beneath the sacred tree... Damon had only woken up a month ago."

’I’m really back... I’m really back!’ I burst out in laughter. I laughed so hard that they all stared at me as if questioning if I had lost a nut in my head.

The laughter turned into sobs. I buried myself back into Damon’s embrace as relief washed over me. We did it... We did it.

......

(6 years later)

"Seraphina and Alaric moved back to the Witches’ realm, embracing their mate bond and love. As for Alpha Damon and Ember, they both realized that love does not begin and end the way they think it does. They learned that love is a battle, love is a war... and that love is growing up, being selfless and very much imperfect.

Alpha Damon brought Ember to the human world, and Ember finally got to see her human family one last time." I said with a bright smile, my long silver-white hair cascading down my back.

"Wow mommy, but what happened to the evil Maddie and her mates?" A small boyish voice asked, his black dark eyes peering wide like a saucepan in curiosity.

"As for Maddie and her mate, she ran away with them when Alpha Lucas and the corrupted witches lost the battle. However, her mates finally left her when they found their true mates, but not too long later she took her own life, unable to bear her shame." I replied in a calm voice.

"Mommy is so good at telling stories!" The little girl sitting on my lap burst out in excitement. "But why are the names in the story the same as yours and Daddy’s name?

"Perhaps mommy was just trying to make it sound better so we can understand it better," Asa said calmly, his eyes narrowing slightly as he tightened his fist. His shoulder-length silvery white hair was slightly ruffled by the wind.

Asra hugged me, her raven black hair brushing my jaw, her ocean blue eyes squinting slightly. "Mommy, when is Nora coming to play with us?" She mumbled.

Asa frowned the moment he heard Nora’s name. "We don’t need her here, she should stay in the Witches’ realm with Mama and Papa. If you want to play, you can play with this big brother of yours, or play with Alexander."

"You don’t understand, you both are boys. Nora is a girl like me, you won’t understand girl stuff."

"But she is very troublesome and rude. The last time she hit me with fireballs." Asa growled in displeasure.

"That was because you bit her doll, and made her float in the air for five good minutes," Asra interjected.

"I didn’t bite her, it was Wolf, and she floated in the air because I couldn’t control my magic," Asa replied, turning his face away. He definitely knew it was his fault but how could he continue to annoy her if he admitted his fault?

I sighed, the children were a little too much to handle.

"That is the result of too much vitamin D... and B." Layla snickered in my head.

I shook my head in disbelief, Layla was the worst, and she had become more shameless than before.

"My love." A familiar voice echoed through the air, warm and loving. I raised my head, my gaze meeting Damon’s.

He approached me, pushing the Asa aside.

"Damon!" I cautioned.

"What? Their time is up, now I get to have you all to myself. The children should go and play." Damon said, glaring at Asa, but his gaze softened a bit when they landed on Asra.

However, Asa climbed onto my lap, folding his arms across his chest stubbornly. "No, she is our mommy."

Damon’s eyes darkened. "And she is my wife." He growled.

Asa looked away, unbothered by his father’s angry gaze.

Damon grabbed him by his shirt, lifting him off my lap. He brought Asa closer to his face. "She is my wife, and it is my turn. Go play." He said putting him down.

He turned to Asra, and he bent slightly. "My baby girl, it is daddy time with mummy, can you be so kind and excuse us?" His gaze softened to that of a puppy.

Asra looked up at me before letting out a disappointed grunt. "Okay," she said, climbing down my leg.

Asa stomped his feet on the ground. "I disagree with you, Daddy. I’m staying with mommy." He yelled.

Before Damon could answer him. Alexander ran up towards Asa, his dark brown hair bouncing against his shoulder, his hazel eyes burning with excitement. "Nora is here!"

"Yah!" Asra exclaimed, running past Alexander.

Alexander stopped in his tracks, "She couldn’t even say hello." He grunted, his eyes sharpening slightly.

Asa glanced at Damon. "I’m only going to cut you some slack this time... but there is no next time." He said calmly, placing his hand behind his back walking in long strides his little feet could carry him.

Alexander waved at me with a polite smile before walking beside Asa.

Damon stared at me, his eyes swirling with mischief. "Now the children are gone, may I have this wonderful time with you?" He wriggled his brows at me.

I blushed, chuckling.

"I hope it is not another therapy for administering vitamin D." Layla snickered with a grin.

"Oh shut up," I said inwardly.

Meanwhile in the Witches’ realm. Seraphina and Alaric were having a wonderful picnic, after all their troublesome daughter, Nora, was finally sent to the Bloodshade pack to play.

Alaric held Seraphina’s hands. "I can look at you all day long without getting bored." His lips pulled into another grin.

Seraphina looked away blushing, however, Alaric cupped her face, so she could look at him. "Don’t be shy honey." He said, pressing his lips against hers.

However, a maid suddenly walked up to them, with her head bowed. "My Queen, My king... Nora had gotten into a big fight with Asa, your attention is needed... urgently." She stammered.

Alaric closed his eyes in frustration. He thought he could finally have the chance to make a mini version of himself, since the little version of Seraphina was as fiery as she was.

Seraphina pulled away, leaving Alaric with his lips pukered into a kiss.

Seraphina immediately opened a portal and walked right in, Alaric sighed before grumpily following behind her.

...

Meanwhile, Theo pushed his glasses back as he gently massaged Hazel’s feet. Unlike the two others, he had succeeded in planting his seed inside Hazel... again.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"I’m good... You are really good at it." Hazel moaned in satisfaction.

Suddenly, a guard mindlinked them that the kids were fighting.

...

Just as Damon and I were about to leave, we got news that the kids were fighting. Damon sighed in frustration, his eyes narrowing with a promise to punish Asa.

By the time we got there, Theo, Hazel, Alaric, and Seraphina were already there... but there was no sign of fighting. Normally the air would be smelling burnt items, or everything would be turned upside down.

"Surprise!" Asra yelled.

"Happy birthday mommy!" Asa and Asra both yelled in unison.

"Happy birthday aunty Ember!" Alexander and Nora yelled in unison.

I was stunned to my feet.... How thoughtful of the four gangsters.

A proud smile flickered through Damon’s face. "Happy birthday, my love."

Everyone wished me a happy birthday. Theo helped Hazel sit, as she was in her last trimester.

We all sat down around the huge table, with food decorating the table... it was the happiest of my life... until...

"If Uncle Damon is Uncle Theo’s daddy, does it make him Asa’s bigger brother and Aunty Ember’s stepson?" Nora’s voice echoed through the hall, making everyone stop eating, as they gave it a serious thought... "I heard step mother’s are not very nice..."

She paused before continuing, her green eyes narrowing a little bit. "I know Aunty is nice and very much younger than Uncle Theo... however, I would like to know how you feel about the situation, Uncle Theo?" She said, tilting her chin up.

Theo’s eyes darkened, but before he could refute, a scream echoed across the table.

Nora was suddenly floating in the air. "You should be sensible enough to know that today is not the day for your silly questions... your punishment time today is TEN minutes!" Asa said as he flicked his fingers, which made Nora float higher in the air.

Nora glanced at her parents, but Seraphina and Alaric pretended they were in a deep conversation.

Theo lifted his glass cheering at Nora who was floating in the air.

Asra puckered her lips. "Nora, don’t worry, it is just double the time as last time, you will be put down before you know." She said, picking up her fork, stabbing it into a piece of cake.

Nora was her best friend, but she wouldn’t let her ruin her mommy’s birthday celebration.

Damon tapped my hand, gesturing that we should go outside.

We both slipped out of the dining room.

Although my Fae magic was gone, somehow our children inherited those traits from me.

Damon and I rode on the horse heading to the cliff with the waterfall. The moment we got there he helped me down.

On the branch of a tree, a swing was moving slightly.

"I made this for you." He said as he led me towards it. I sat on it with a bright smile, the sun set directly facing me.

He stood behind me, pushing the swing. I giggled as I got closer to the sky again, and again. After a while, he sat beside me on the swing, and we both watched the sun set, the waterfall view was breathtaking and the grass swayed slightly to the tune of the wind.

I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Ember... Jasmine, I’ll love you forever." He said with a smile.

"I’ll love you forever, Damon," I replied with a smile.

As the sun dipped behind the horizon, I realized this life was enough... more than enough.
