Transmigrated with my corruption system-Chapter 32: Marked for Death
Averting his attention, his gaze fell on the slew of notifications that had piled up on the side for a while.
[Ding! You have killed a level 10 Extra Ordinary Dire Wolf! +1,000 experience points!]

[Congratulations, you have leveled up!]
[Congratulations, you have leveled up!]
Level: 9 [503/900] (Awakened F-rank Mortal)
[Unallocated attributes: 20]
Analysing them for a moment, the smile on his face widened. Impressive. He had leveled up four times in one go.
All that was left was to claim that strength for himself. Unlike regular people with classes, he had to allocate the attributes himself.
But before that, he turned slowly, eyeing the corpses of the dire wolves. A few moments away from bursting into golden particles and flowing back into the dungeon.
He extended his arms, releasing the darkness, letting it consume them whole. A little sad none of them had dropped any loot.
What a waste. He sighed, watching the cascade of notifications flood his vision.
[Ding! Your darkness has devoured a level 10 Extraordinary Dire Wolf. +10 blank attribute!]

[Ding! Your darkness has devoured a level 10 Extraordinary Dire Wolf. +10 blank attribute!]
[Unallocated attributes: 50]
"Nice." Ulric breathed, watching his attributes grow into a lump little sum. His biggest one yet that he would allocate in one go.
Inhaling sharply, he calmed himself, already knowing where he would allocate them. And without another thought, he dumped them all into spirit. Time to explore his theory.
The reaction was instant, as soon as he gave the command. A wave of soothing energy flooded his mind in an overwhelming manner.
He could feel multiple things unfold at once, but as seconds slowly slipped by, the changes grew fully apparent.
Before, his senses were already pretty good. But this upgrade pushed them to a terrifying degree. His sight became a whole lot clearer, allowing him to see further than ever before. Micro details he would have missed were captured instantly.
Like the small intricate runes carved across the dungeon walls. His sense of hearing soared explosively as well. Everything that emitted sound flowed into his ears.
He could even hear Lena’s breathing a hundred metres away and her heart thumping rapidly within her chest.
The sudden change and overload in his senses should have massively strained his brain as it tried to adapt, bringing unimaginable pain. But it didn’t go as he expected.
The energy seeped into his brain as well, unclogging things he didn’t even know about, leaving him feeling fully refreshed. The change didn’t make him exactly smarter per se.
But something almost better. Within this state, he felt as if he could analyse multiple scenarios and battle plans at the back of his head all at once.
If he was just a tad bit more shameless, he might even have called this the beginning of his journey as a battle grand master.
Just when he thought everything was finished, the receding energy suddenly imploded deep inside his head.
Bringing him down as blinding agony flared, causing him to curse out. This was just too good to be true.
All these enhancements without an ounce of pain? It seemed his body couldn’t handle the process without crossing the bounds of natural change.
Opening his mouth to let out a guttural growl, he froze, feeling the pain suddenly vanish just as it had come. But instead of feeling happy, he froze in place.
Feeling something inexplicable flare from him, covering a range of five meters.
"I see everything." Ulric breathed, understanding slowly dawning on him.
With his eyes closed, everything within a five metre radius became impeccably clear despite the angle.
"A spiritual field." He growled softly, his crimson eyes blinking rapidly in shock.
A feature only genius assassins and archers could awaken, and that was only when they stepped towards E rank.
Taking a moment to process everything, a wave of understanding washed over him.
The amount of attributes he had invested in spirit was almost equal to an E rank, which triggered the awakening.
Still, this was all too surreal..The surprise on his face slowly receded as he chuckled softly. With his classless path, this was just the beginning. Bound to none, yet wielding all.
Unable to take it anymore, he raised his head, his enhanced instincts already flaring as he picked up a burning gaze.
Locking eyes, Lena’s frame came into view. Her eyes currently drilling into his torso, lost in thought.
With his robes torn apart, his chest was clear to see, and the lines of muscle arching across it were unbelievable, almost as if sculpted by a master artisan.
The sight drew her in, only snapping out of it when Ulric’s attention turned to her. Caught staring, her throat suddenly dried up.
As her face turned to the ground, ears tinging with a furious red blush.
Retracting his sight, he looked down before sighing quietly..He had almost forgotten about the effects of a close range battle.
Time to do something about it.
Pulling up the system interface, he looked at the number of corruption points he had left.
[Corruption Points: 1303]
And the number against his robe.
[Ordinary robe: 0/300]
Should be enough. He thought, placing a hand over his torso on what remained of his robe as he issued the command.
"Corrupt."
It was already long overdue anyway.

Elsewhere, back inside the Greyson residence, a commotion stirred restlessly as the elders watched Ulric single-handedly defeat level ten beasts with his bare arms.
Too drawn in to notice as a figure slipped out.
Wearing a cloak to mask her presence, Lady Valeria’s face dropped to the ground. Her face contorting with multiple emotions.
She’d seen enough, and even after everything, it seemed she had still underestimated him. Sorely. She didn’t know how he had pulled it off, but she didn’t care anymore.
She wouldn’t be surprised if he even cleared the dungeon. What she was sure of, however, was that he wouldn’t live past today.
His potential was exceedingly monstrous.
If left to live... The thought barely formed before a sensation she had yet to feel struck her. Unmistakable fear.
He would rise to become an overlord of Tempest City. And with everything he had endured under her hand, he would surely claim revenge. She wouldn’t let that happen.
Couldn’t. She was going to snip the threat right in the bud.
Exiting the residence, her figure dove into the depths of the city. To abandoned areas.
Until she walked up to an indescript building.
Navigating the entrance with practiced ease, she made her way into a secluded room.
An ominous plaque hanging above.
"The Sisters of Death."
Biting her tongue, she forced her way inside.
Barely lit. Filled with darkness and no sign of people inside. If any person were there, they might just have believed it.
But she knew better. Forcing the words from her lips.
"I have a task for you..."
A moment of silence passed. Just as the tension was eating at her. Another echoed as an outline formed in the darkness.
Of a middle-aged lady strapped in black pants that accentuated her voluptuous frame.
"Name?"
"You’ll finish the job this time, right? Last time..." Lady Valeria murmured.
Before she was cut off.
The figure repeating the question, only this time the voice echoed from the ceiling. Causing her to freeze, how had she moved without even her noticing?
The thought made her gulp audibly.
Even as an E-rank being, they eluded her detection.
"Ulric Bloodvein." Lady Valeria spat, trying to regain her composure. Another moment of silence passed before a voice echoed.
But different this time. Seemed younger.
"The S-rank talent?"
With his achievements circling the city, his name was growing widely recognized.
Nodding at the question, Lady Valeria groaned.
"Do it tonight! I don’t care about the price."
"Make sure not to fail this time."
She added, hurriedly walking out. Only catching her breath as she exited the building.
Panting in between breaths, she wiped the sweat off her brows. Reeling from the chilling aura as a vile smile stretched across her lips.
Despite their shady appearance, their reputation was widely feared across the city.
It was only a matter of time now.
Back inside the dark room, a melodious chuckle erupted from the darkness, before wheezing.
"You’ve been marked by the Sisters of Death."
