Chapter 298: Scarlet showing off her progress.

The next day early in the morning, Esong left for the grey star with food supplies, medicines and detailed pictures of the land which his wife wanted to acquire on the grey star.

Scarlet made herself scarce as well, heading deeper into the forest in the opposite direction of the shadow hunters who had taken up residence in the blue forest.

Even thought this was not the only forest on the blue star, it was most utilized for resources since vast of the land remained unoccupied, untouched. They had not even started exploring it as of yet.

She used her blink powers to appear in the gorge where the space crack was first because she was curious, was it closed?

To her amazement, it was not!!!!!

She got closer, but maintained a respectable distance so that she would not be sucked inside accidentally. Perhaps she would be able to blink in and out but there was no guarantee of this.

There were no mutated beasts close by, the size of the crack had also diminished as compared to what it was in the winter. It look more like a mid sized gap which was just hanging there, in space.

"I can’t believe this thing is still here." she muttered. She opened her soul gourd to take advantage of this cheat. But, she wondered why Ramslin said it only appeared for three months. Why was it still here then? Had something on the other side changed? She picked up a stone from the ground and threw it inside. It went in, but did not come back outside. Her next plan was to throw in something with a camera.

"Just don’t think about going inside yourself." Severus made an appearance on the blue star, finally, after so long. He came directly where she was and tugged on her dress with his sharp teeth.

"I wasn’t thinking about it," she said, "Yet." she added.

"We have talked about this." he said in an irritated voice.

"And I am beginning to think that the crack is more manmade than deity made, if it was a spiritual thing, the crack would be closed by now or I would feel spiritual fluctuations but I don’t. And look, it’s still here, more than that even the video I posted about it on star net was taken down. Not just that but even the comments were systemically removed. I am telling you Seby, something smells and it’s not pleasant."

Severus gave her a unpleasant glare and growled deeply, "Don’t call me Seby."

"Your mother calls you Seby." she told him.

"You are not her." he said, "And I hate when she uses it too."

"Alright, Severus, anyway, I am going to share another picture and video and see where it leads. I should know who is deleting the information and why. Anyway, why are you here partner?"

"One you were thinking about the crack and two congratulations on going past another crossing point. You are among the top ten teams at the moment." he said proudly.

"Why, thank you." she said. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

She had spent all night climbing that wall, and she was sure that something on the wall pierced her but no blood had been drawn. That wall was weird, so weird because her green flame had become stronger the further she climbed upwards.

"I thought that cold frost would be a burden but the little guy is a force of nature. Why does everyone think that he is an idiot in the first place?" he asked himself.

"He is a good guy, the underworld is just a competitive place." she told him.

She took one last look at the crack in the space, closed her soul gourd and floated away slowly.

"You have learned how to walk on air." Severus commented when he saw what she was doing.

It was a level five skill, but she was using it at level three. No soul pet could be prouder of their grim reaper than he was at the moment.

"A combination of heat from the flame and my powers. I look like a deity myself right now." she answered proudly. "Oh, and look at this as well." She raised her hands and moved them around in a circular manner, manipulating the morning fog and dew to form a small cage of mist. Hers was green however, it looked a moving green smoke.

"That’s__, the skill of another reaper." he said.

"Dalia’s skill, " she said, "I copied but changed it, however it is not as strong as hers yet. I am yet to create a hardened large suffocating cage like she does."

"I am proud of you, oooh, what can I reward you with?" Severus howled, growled and jumped from one side to another.

His red eyes had a shadow of burning flames within as he pictured the day they would stand at the top as the best reapers of the underworld.

"Give me sound hound wine, the kind which I can sell in the human world. Negotiate so that your friends give me a discount, five soul crystals per jar is too expensive."

"Sure, leave it to me." he answered. "What else have you learned?"

"Watch this," she said.

She stood where she was in the air and started spinning, normally, the wind would pick up speed like a small tornado but this time round, it was not just the wind, her soul binding rope dashed out of the tornado, divided into close to fifty long threads, each with a burning green flame.

"Woo-hooo!!" Severus cheered.

Scarlet stopped spinning, the wind calmed down and the sticks and stones which had risen fell back down to the ground.

She broke into a fitful cough and gasped for breath.

"Are you okay?" Severus asked in a worried voice.

She nodded and waved her hand in small dismissive gestures. "I am okay." she said, between heavy breaths.

"The skill requires much soul energy which you do not have at the moment, take it easy." he told her. "But still, great job." he added a compliment.

She drunk some rejuvenation water, and breathed out loud again as she calmed down completely. Then, they resumed their floating journey.

"Where are we going?" he asked her.

"I purchased some goats, cows, horses, and pigs from different shops in the underworld and I need to play the usual pretense." she answered.

"Am I chasing them from the back as usual?" he asked.

"You know the drill." she answered.

Scarlet put in a request sending for help because she had discovered a hoard of close to two thousand animals.

Within one minute, help arrived in the form of excited mecha warriors, hunters from the blue star and RGB officers who were here to satisfy their curiosity but claimed they were here to maintain order.

One voice was the loudest in the crowd, that of the manager of the live stock department.

"Don’t injure the animals, do not scare them. Please stop taking pictures of the cows, they do not like that."

He was running back and forth for one side to another endlessly.

"He is working more than I am." Severus commented.

Scarlet laughed, and she agreed.
