The rest of the family went on with their meal, laughing and teasing each other over breakfast. To Zorl, a first timer in the castle for this late breakfast which he had been dragged to, it was very interesting watching this unique family in their natural element.

The royals were not so royal within closed walls. They were just like most families. He was expecting rigid silence at the table and a whole lot of protocols and guidelines but instead, what he saw was chaos.

Who knew that the crown prince had what it took to toss popcorn in the air and catch it with his mouth while everyone counted how many he could catch in one minute.

"This is so weird." he whispered to Jelly.

"Welcome to the Wu-Su family. Frankly speaking, I think the Wu’s are under the spell of the Su’s. Which noble, no royal families have you seen behave like this?" she whispered back.

"Jelly dear, no whispering at the table." Mega called out.

They both looked at their guests and smiled. "Sorry aunt Mega." Jelly said.

It was the third time Zorl had heard his girlfriend refer to Mega as aunt and every time she did, he shivered a little in fear. To him, the Su’s were crazy. It was crazy good but he didn’t need crazy in their lives. This was a very dysfunctional family with no boundaries, too much co-dependence and a whole lot of power and influence.

As an RGB officer, the power and influence part was what he didn’t want close to him. In their organization, those who came from very powerful families in the empire were not the most popular. They were closely watched in fear that they would be compromised which would compromise the organization in turn. Jelly however was unwilling to let go of his friendship with Scarlet.

"Zorl, dear are you both coming with us to the zoo?" Mega asked him a question.

Zorl raised his head and looked at her with shock in his eyes. Dear!!, when did he become ’dear’ in this family? Were they trying to make him have a panic attack?

"Uncle Zorl, you should come. Mommy said there are lions, tigers and baby tigers, giraffes, pandas." Justin informed Zorl.

If Mega calling him dear caused him to panic then Justin calling him uncle almost sent him scurrying off to hide under the table.

"Oh my gosh! look at him, he looks like a frightened bunny." Nord Wu, one of Esong’s cousins said.

Nord and Elroy tapped their hands together, in a high five.

"I told you I could get him to show some emotion." Elroy bragged and the two men laughed.

Nord and Eloy were similar in age and both enjoyed the club scene, fame and hockey. Nord was a hockey player for one of the teams formed by the royal family. Unlike Elroy though, Nord had a girlfriend on the Green star so he was not a playboy. Other than this, they were similar in many ways and enjoyed spending time together.

"Pay up." Elroy told Nord.

Nord groaned. "You are killing me Elroy, that’s twenty thousand star coins gone. I should know better than to wager against you. Why not make it double or nothing." Nord complained and then made a suggestion while batting his lashes at his friend.

"Quit trying to be one of the blonde twins Nord." Markay told his cousin.

"Hey...." Nord and Elroy complained.

Two of the maids and two robot butlers walked into the dining room and put down four different bowls with new food.

"What’s this?" Beord was the first to pull a bowl and first to ask.

Before getting an answer he was already shoving whatever it was down his throat.

"Tteokbokki, that’s what the governor called it." Gertrude told them.

Everyone started pronouncing the name of the spicy looking food that they had not tasted before.

"Look at my mouth when I am pronouncing it." Gregor told others. He proceeded to exaggerate the movements of his mouth.

"I can do that too." One of the younger Wu boys said. He went ahead to compete with Gregor in whose could move weirdly the most.

Mega touched her heart as if she was distressed while Cecily chortled. As the behavior police at the table, they couldn’t decide if they were failing at their job or nobody actually cared about proper manners at the table.

"It’s done." Elroy announced.

A good number of whines from those who had missed the chance to taste it went around.

"Is there more?" Markay asked Gertrude.

The maid shook her head. The governor had prepared it for Justin specifically and the rest of them were just extra mouths.

"Oh, my father’s not gonna like this." Markay said.

Everyone at the table groaned and Zorl could not help wondering why. Jelly that was in the know about the emperor’s foodie nature smiled. Everyone that had eaten what the emperor had not eaten would be getting a very long unhappy email from the emperor expressing his dissatisfaction. And they would have to pay a fine for this crime. It was an inside joke, a Wu-Su thing.

Cecily stood up and announced loudly, "Okay, zoo time so everyone that is going please assemble outside. We have bus that seats around one hundred eighty people so if you have a girlfriend, invite them. We can pick them up along the way."

"What if I have a boyfriend?" Beord asked.

Mega gave her son a very scary and exhausted look. "Don’t try me today." she warned him.

Elroy said, "I have seen Lanta with a knife brother and I would advise you not to make that joke if your still want your ba..."

Mega whirled around and shouted in a deep voice, "Elroy Cesar Su, whatever you say next..."

"Tennis balls mother. I was going to say tennis balls." Elroy lied.

Those who understand what Elroy intended to say burst out loud in laughter. There was no way he was going to say tennis balls. The tennis part was quick thinking on his part however.

"I like tennis balls. They soft to touch and nice looking." An innocent Gregor said, as an afterthought to what his brother had just said.

There was some silence for a few seconds. A lot of people were holding in their laughter, trying not to be the next ones Mega’s angry voice aimed at.

That all failed when Markay suddenly let out a high pitched squeal and squatted down, laughing his heart out.

It was hard for everyone else, especially the adults to maintain their composure under those circumstances.

"Why are they laughing?" Halley asked Carolyn. She couldn’t fathom why grownups were laughing because Gregor liked tennis balls.

She liked tennis balls too and she and Gregor often played catch with them.

"Because they are stupid." Carolyn replied.

The corners of her lips were raised high too however so she had to be one of the stupid people.

"So, should we be expecting Esong and Scarlet?" someone asked.

"I wouldn’t count on it." Adler replied.

Esong and Scarlet were busy the whole day. Hours passed and they stayed in bed, rutting like horny wolves in a mating season. They went at it so hard that they broke the bed, a lamp and two chairs. By the time they stopped to eat, the two suns were setting and Esong was walking with wobbly legs.
