Transmigrating from a zombie world to become the mecha kings wife-Chapter 636: Xeno-world of women
Chapter 636: Xeno-world of women
As dusk was upon them, they didn’t get to enjoy the beauty of the empire of Xeno. For the humans anyway, as they could only see as much as their ordinary eyesight allowed them. Scarlet on the other hand was different. Her eyes could see beyond the tall shiny structures on this planet, all the way deep under the ground and into their numerous seas.
When Carana described Xeno’s beauty she had told no lies. It was a green planet. It boasted of sturdy tall trees that were higher than anything Alix had ever seen in a human world. The trees and buildings were interconnected, extensions of each other forming a breathtaking spectacle.
This could easily have been a world made for giants and not ordinary humans. Why else would trees of this size exist? You could practically live inside of one.
While it had one sun, Xeno was blessed by four moons of pale white, light red, brown and orange. The four moons which Scarlet had only seen on Ally net in pictures were something else when glanced upon by the naked eye. Beauty, breathtaking beauty that was uniquely mesmerizing is the only way she would describe it.
"Holy shit!!" Adler exclaimed.
Scarlet resonated with him, holy shit, indeed. Someone needed to re-arrange the beautiful planets. Xeno could easily give Solaris a run for their money especially now that Solaris was still rebuilding after the sandworm tragedy.
Despite of all this beauty however, the trees did not produce edible food. That was the only downside to this planet that Scarlet could think of so far. That and the infinite number of soul eaters that were running rampant.
"How high up are we?" Teacher Kong looked all the way down, as far as he could see.
"If it’s a building, I would say three hundred floors up maybe." Scarlet replied. She peeped over Adler’s shoulder to catch the mesmerized look on Justin’s face but he was sleeping in Etienne’s arms.
"I hate it here." Severus suddenly said. "It feels too happy, too unnatural for a place with thousands of soul feeders."
Scarlet looked around, studying her immediate surroundings and filing Severus’s displeasure deep in her mind for later.
They had landed on what looked like a tree branch but also a space landing port. Where they landed was similar to a modern airport, large and busy. It was bright inside, holograms were showing the news, screens on walls were playing music or movies. In a way, it was much similar to the Sun star but also different.
They had been sent to what Alix assumed was the VIP area. The door slid open before Scarlet could venture out to tour and touch everything.
In walked the welcoming party, all women Scarlet noticed immediately. Amongst them was princess Keziah or floozy as Scarlet still preferred to remember he by. All of them were dressed in white.
Adler tilted his head downwards slightly and whispered to Scarlet. "Between them and the Terranova group I don’t know who likes white more."
"Shhh." Scarlet responded.
They had cameras and sound enhancers. Scarlet was pretty sure that everything they said was being transmitted back to whoever was watching them and she was certain that they were being watched.
She had already found something she didn’t like about this planet, no privacy.
The group of women parted and formed two different lines, creating a path in the middle. Then, more women filed into the room, these ones in black with only one in white. Scarlet recognized Carana immediately.
Here, on her home planet, Carana looked regal, like a true royal. This was different from the aura she exuded when she visited the Sun star.
"Scarlet, my friend." she called with a smile.
She opened her arms wide, stepped up and hugged her. The hug didn’t reach around as she expected and it caused Carana to frown. She lowered her head and looked down at the obstruction which was interfering with her hug.
Scarlet’s large belly was hidden by the cloak but it could still be made out. You could see that something was on her body.
"Yeah, I am pregnant." Scarlet so casually told her.
Carana’s brows furrowed and she looked at Scarlet’s belly intensely. "You are with child!" she exclaimed.
Scarlet stuck her belly out and gently rubbed it very proudly. "Yup, pregnant, preggers, swollen, knocked up, with child. Whatever you wish to call it."
The response she received however was not what she expected. Her ears were waiting for ’congratulations’ or something else as long as it was positive.
"But you have wombs in the maternal hospitals on your planet. You have servants too. Why would you put yourself in this degrading condition?" Carana looked genuinely puzzled and worried but what she said was unpleasant to Scarlet’s ears.
She had to take a deep breath in order not to say something offensive. She was a guest here after all, a representative of the Wu royal family. If she allowed her emotions to get the better of her then she might end up erasing Carana for calling her pregnancy degrading.
She was not the only one hoping that she would not explode verbally, Etienne and Cecily had the same hope. Scarlet, like her mother was very sensitive when it came to natural pregnancy. If someone said something she didn’t like, she lit up like a firecracker.
"I think it’s rewarding to carry and nurse my children. I want to start bonding with them while they are still in my womb. It’s a personal choice, of course." Stiffly, Scarlet responded.
Carana was still frowning as Scarlet explained and the others worried about what her next words would be. Cecily thought Scarlet would only meet such prejudice on their home planet but it was here too. Apparently, the planets shared much more in common than just technology.
Cecily poked Adler secretly and mouthed, "Say something."
If this initial meeting did not go in a positive direction then they might as well pack up and head back to their planet.
Adler blurted out the first thing which crossed his mind. "Excuse me princess, where are the men?"
The heads of all the Xenoan females in the room turned to Adler, heavy disapproval clear in their eyes.
But Adler couldn’t be blamed for the harmless question however because anybody that was new to Xeno would have the same question.
"Women are the leaders on Xeno." princess Floozy stepped up and informed Adler__, all of them in fact as she looked at each of them, one after the other. "Men stay in the background as they are not involved in politics and this is a friendly political meet up. Men do not hold positions of power here either. Xeno is a world of strong women and the men stick to their traditionally assigned duties."
Scarlet was already sort of aware of this but apparently others were not. She herself had only surface knowledge not as deep as she was about to find out.
The men that had accompanied her looked dismayed, perplexed, or terrified even at this new concept.
Adler’s mouth formed an ’o’ shape and a small sound came from his mouth. "Oh!"
