In the evening, after she had fed, cleaned and put the children to sleep with Tridon and her mother’s help, Scarlet fell onto the sofa in her living room and groaned.

Slurping a purple slushie which Coral had made for him, Tridon comfortably sat down in the chair opposite of hers. The tail was gone but the comfort level with which he was living in her house, eating her food and commanding her servants was not.

Not even Mega had questioned his presence as if he was an actual member of their family.

"Why are you using human means to take care of your children? It’s clear that you are struggling." he asked her.

This was similar to what Esong had asked her before.

She lifted her head and gave what she thought was the responsible answer.

"It’s because I don’t want them thinking that their powers are normal and they should be using them for everything. I am raising them in the human world, remember?"

Tridon loudly slurped that slushie even louder, deliberately annoying her because she hated what he was doing.

"That’s stupid." he answered. "They are babies, whose understanding is already way ahead of that of their fellow infants. Unless you bind their powers, they will use them."

She sat upright at the mention of this very new information.

"Don’t do it." Severus teleported in as if he had been hiding somewhere in the house, eavesdropping on the conversation and he popped in the minute he heard something he didn’t like.

Three seconds after him, the other hounds teleported into the room. All howling and speaking over each other.

"It’s unnatural."

"How could he suggest something like that."

"What are you scheming you loose deity?"

Tridon snapped his fingers and the hounds kind of froze. Scarlet heard the sound of bones cracking and then the most unnatural thing happened right before her eyes. Her hounds, turned into men__, naked men.

"Aaah," she screamed in surprise and covered her eyes.

"You don’t need to thank me." Tridon said proudly.

Scarlet was still surprised and very much freaked out. "What have you done?" freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

"Help, you wanted help so I am giving you help. Now, your hounds can transform from hounds to men and men to hounds, depending on what the situation calls for."

Little yips of surprise and confusion were coming from the hounds.

"Ooh, naked men in your house will probably cause a scandal." Tridon said.

He snapped his fingers again and covered up the men with plain white sheets. "That’s much better."

"You have received a guest, general Adler Su." Alex announced.

Tridon waved his hand and disappeared away with her hounds, now men or shifters. Scarlet was not sure what to refer to them as now.

She could feel them, they had not gone far and were in the castle. With her grim reaper vision, she detected them in one of the larger guest bedrooms. They sounded unhappy to find themselves suddenly walking on two feet.

The door slid open and her brother walked in. He was dragging two large suitcases and her son Justin.

Her right hand pointing finger moved from uncle to nephew.

"What...." she said unsurely.

Justin was supposed to be in school today. The school term had been extended and it would be closing this week, just not today as far as she knew.

"The school term was ended early, the emperor has taken your suggestion into consideration and christmas in now an official public holiday to be celebrated in the snowy last month of the year." Adler informed her.

Scarlet had made this request even before the mecha warriors succeeded. It would only be granted of course, if they were successful.

Justin walked around Adler and threw himself into Scarlet’s arms.

"Mother, I have missed you."

"You saw me the day your sisters were born." she replied.

"No i didn’t." Justin denied in a sharp voice.

"Are you still making those claims Justin?" Adler asked his nephew.

Scarlet scrutinized her son from head to toe. Just like the rest of the family, he had been sleeping and a phantom was living in his place. Still, there was no way he could have figured this out. Did he figure it out from her words during their conversation?

"You have grown taller." She put him down and measured his height with her hand. "Stand here, I need to start marking off your height."

He had grown taller, put on a little weight and his hair was shorter. He had changed, not just physically but also his countenance. His expressions were more confident, he seemed to be so sure about himself now. It was so great to see.

She leaned him against the wall and made a mark, then wrote down his height.

"Let’s do this every few months for you and your sisters."

The moment she mentioned sisters, he took off running in the direction of the children’s nursery.

She watched him helplessly with a smile on her face. "I have taken the back seat in his heart already. He has replaced me with five new beautiful ladies."

She sighed and sat down. "I see two suitcases brother and I am sure that none of them belong to my son."

"I brought these to make a point." He tossed them on the floor and opened them with his mental strength.

Both of the suitcases happened to be empty which she was already aware.

"You don’t want mother to move in and you won’t accept any more maids. I don’t know why you don’t want to accept help but you are overwhelmed and your husband....." He looked away and clenched his fist.

"What?" she asked.

Adler looked at her and blurted out, "He is back." He spoke so surely as if he had personally set his eyes on Esong.

Scarlet acted surprised. She widened her eyes and clutched her the invisible pearls around her neck. Injecting a tremble in her voice, she asked softly, "Are__, are you sure?"

Adler sat down and sighed gravelly. He looked at her with eyes that held a lot of worry and pity.

"Are you okay?" he asked her softly.

"Where is he? I have to go and see him right now." she replied.

Truth be told, she was already aware of his return. She had felt his presence the moment he returned. She also knew that he was currently in the headquarters of the mecha warriors association of the Blue star and she was very fine with waiting for him to return home when he was released officially.

Adler shook his head and reached for her hands to stop her from leaving. He bought into the shocked woman that was desperately worried act which she was putting on.

"You can’t. He has been locked up in the RGB headquarters for weeks now. This information was relayed to me by Folsom secretly."

Scarlet’s eyes turned frosty. Which Folsom was relaying this information, the human or the life angel?

The human could be trusted because he probably wanted her to apply some pressure as the governor and get him released but the life angel was not to be trusted.

She sat back down, now calm completely. "You are right, I think I should stay back."
