Transmigrating from a zombie world to become the mecha kings wife-Chapter 709: Chaos and his chaos.
Chapter 709: Chaos and his chaos.
"You sure know how to uncomplicate a situation." Esong said, and then smiled."
She was not going for heavy topics but choosing something light. Given that she liked to talk about everything immediately often, this was a change.
He couldn’t guess if it was a good or bad change but he could tell that she had changed in other ways too. He had noticed the confidence when she was leading the supernatural creatures that built the dead world, turning it into the perfect venue for the games.
He had seen her playing with the little fairies and running barefoot in a spring while laughing at the top of her voice with little mermaids. Not only had she looked charmingly beautiful but her voice had filled his heart.
Esong tilted his head and touched her face again, slowly and tentatively. As much as he wanted to be calm and patient, his greed for her got the best of him.
"Can i hug you?" he asked in a soft voice.
Before, he could hug her at anytime when he desired, and from any position but now, he needed to ask. Impatiently, he waited for the words yes to fall out of her mouth.
She smiled naughtily, looking she was about to start some trouble. Then, she shook her head.
Esong groaned softly beneath his breath and the hand which he had put on her face was lowered.
"Sorry , I am being presumptuous."
Seeing him so unsure of himself, Scarlet launched herself into his arms. One of the goals of the separation had been to rebuild his confidence. Why was he hesitant?
She patted his back and touched the scythe. "I told you not to apologize for things you are not sure about. I just tried to tease you a little bit but you wavered like a kid whose candy i had snatched. Be brave my man."
Esong trembled and tightened his around her. He didn’t care if he had wavered as long as it led to this, her in his arms wrapped tightly in an embrace.
He was so excited that his wings fluttered, causing a mini storm in the room. He was just like a puppy whose tail was wagging with excitement after seeing the owner who had been gone for a long time.
"I have missed you." he whispered in a broken kind of voice. "You don’t know how lonely i have been. It was so hard Scar and so dark, especially in the beginning. I was so scared that i would not find my way back to you."
She nodded in understanding. It had been hard for her as well.
She admitted too, how hard it had been for her. "I know, i cried so much and lost a lot of weight. I couldn’t sleep and thought about just taking the children and running away. It was so hard for me too, but it’s okay, we needed it to know how much we care for each other. To find our way back to each other and it has worked."
She took a deep breath and leaped onto his thighs. The distance between them was small but somehow felt big to her, as if they were not close enough.
Greedy for her warmth, he didn’t hesitate to pull and hold her as tight as he could. He was not afraid of sqeezing tightly. She was not human and neither was he. There was no chance that either one of them could break, so he held on to her like a man in the middle of the sea with one small boat to keep him afloat.
Outside Lythia’s palace, things were slightly more chaotic than they were inside. This was because a few unhappy deities were trying to break into her palace. They didn’t even try to sneak inside but tried to force their way inside in the open.
Chaos was leading this futile attack on the palace which was encompassed with a shield of impenetrable shadows. He was being assisted by love who was more subtle about it.
The deity that stood the biggest chance at breaking it was the deity of light who wasn’t there.
To Lythia, it looked like the ones who came seeking for entertainment had become the entertainment as many in the underworld had gathered to watch and see if the break in was successful.
Above the garden palace, Chaos spun his body around and released explosive energy from his hands.
"Break for the chaos winds." he shouted. freeweɓnovel.cøm
His powers bounced off the shield, not even causing a crack.
Chaos was still determined and he collected more energy. He stood back and energy pored from his body like a leaking waterfall.
"Form the chaos star and bring ruination...."
Chaos was flung away like a little bird by a different power before he could ruin other parts of the underworld without bringing down the shield. He had already caused some minor damages here and there.
A loud voice of the deity of death came from one of the trees and he said, "This is not your realm chaos, go and destroy your home, not mine."
With those words, everyone figured that this was the end of chaos creating chaos in the underworld.
Lythia was actually a little bit disappointed because she was having fun watching chaos try and fail over and over. If he had succeeded, she would have gone back to make adjustments and strengthen her shield.
Hovering around Lythia, the deity of fate reached a hand out to touch Black and Lythia slapped it.
"Stop it, you know that she doesn’t want you anywhere around her. Besides, of what use is a prophet that cannot talk? She is too young to hold much importance for you."
The goddess of fate tried to poke Black’s cheek and again, Lythia slapped her hand away.
Fate huffed and groaned, frustrated. "I am just trying to carry her because she is cute. Will we never get past this claiming incident?"
"I don’t see you trying to carry the others?" Lythia replied.
Out if the five available babies, why was she specifically trying to carry Black?
"I am not touching that small one." Fate said and she shook her body, reacting as if Freyja was scary, which Lythia didn’t understand.
She did detect something in Fate’s voice which made her curious. What was the secret with the little one?
The old deity’s voice was heard again from above this time. "Bring out the children, i have other places to be Lythia."
Another voice was heard, from the god of chaos who was dripping wet as he had landed in one of Lythia’s ponds. "How dare you treat me this way death? I am a guest in your realm."
"Nobody invited you." Death answered.
