Chapter 216: Chapter 216; Pregnant?

"Yes, Mommy, don’t worry... Just be seated there like a princess; after all, you are pregnant, and it’s exhausting to be making a new baby. We are expecting that little sister so, don’t run around." Zhihao gently tapped on her thighs seeing their father didn’t have any plans of letting go of her, he slightly lifted his head and glared at his father. He strode away trailing behind Qin Xinyu with a distasteful face.

Tang Fei didn’t know if she should laugh at him or cry. Their father was being too clingy and Zhihao seemed to be hating it. They didn’t manage to have time with her yesterday, and today, the day seems to end like that.

"Pregnant?" Minghao was shocked as Tinghao walked over to join them; he also heard that and was surprised that their mother was pregnant. Wasn’t it too soon? He wasn’t worried that their mother would have a difficult time splitting time when it comes to spending it together, but it was about her body.

Minghao didn’t mind having more siblings, but what if their mother went back to what she used to be when she gave birth to them? What if the pregnancy made her violent once again? What would happen to them and the newborn kids? Would the kid also be rejected? Would she hate them all? What about their father? What would the relationship be like?

Minghao was traumatized and just couldn’t picture it, recalling what they had gone through. Zo Zho Yu and Mo Tianyu who have been with the kids, immediately understood what was happening with Minghao’s sad and worried face. Her bright mood suddenly became somber, and she didn’t know how she should act in such a situation, she was happy, yes, but... She didn’t want to feel bad but at the same time, she didn’t want to go back to the way they used to live. She detested that kind of life.

Her Momma now was so beautiful and lovely, she was taking care of them and herself. They liked this momma now, so, are they going back to how it used to be? They would no longer receive hugs and kisses from her? Did this mean they might not be able to spend time with her in the future?

She didn’t want to see her mother beat and scold her as she used to; she had already experienced it, and it wasn’t pleasant; she would gladly wish the pregnancy was terminated and done with. She was afraid, afraid of the outcome.

Tang Fei, who was planning to explain to her, noticed that change of emotions and knew what she was thinking, and it was understandable. She held her waist and dragged her up to her arms while sitting on Huo Ting Cheng’s lap before hugging her intimately.

Huo Ting Cheng also noticed Minghao seemed to be affected by the trauma of the past and had plans of letting a psychiatrist check up on her but again was worried that she would overthink the overall situation of her health. Probably, he needed to have a one-on-one chat with her and talk it out.

"Don’t mind their words; mommy’s tummy is completely flat; nothing is in there...." She bent over closer to her ear, "I will never do anything to hurt you! Never, I love you the most. Momma knows her mistake, and she would never repeat it... Mnnh... And don’t worry, if mommy is pregnant, you will be the first one to know it. I won’t hide it from you no matter what, and I won’t change the way I treat you now." She pecked her cheeks calming her down, and the earlier crestfallen face suddenly bloomed as she heavily blushed with her mother’s sweet words that were fluttering.

Who didn’t want to hear those sweet words? Who didn’t want to be assured? Who didn’t want to feel appreciated? She was just a baby who needed attention just like all other kids. She was a kid who needed love just like all other existing kids.

"Geez mommy..." She ran away after her brother while Tinghao stood there looking at his mother, his eyes blinking from time to time, looking like an adorable puppy; he also wanted those cheek kisses but was too embarrassed to ask for them, so he could only stand there.

"You have really messed up your hair. All wet and sweaty." Tang Fei gently ruffled his hair while kissing his cheeks and soon rushed away without looking behind for anyone to notice his blushing face and the soft giggle.

Tang Fei wildly smiled, seeing how they were behaving; they were just kids, all in all, and it sure filled her heart seeing them so adorable and happy. She would take time to study and learn each and every one of them and know how to treat them well, but it was worth it.

"Don’t spoil them like that..." He gently pinched her cheeks gazing at her warmly, his eyes full of adoration and appreciation. He was glad that she was accepting her role as a mother; he had never wished to force her but always felt like they both would regret it if they never made peace with it. She would regret that she never was a good mother to the kids and missed all the chances of bonding while the kids would be sad and regret not having a mother to love them just like other kids. He also wished she never got to that point of regret.

He was glad that things were working out for them and progressing positively. And he hoped the past would be long gone and fade away. They needed to focus on the future and leave the past behind.

The guests who were enjoying all varieties of wine, watched their little interactions while chatting from the sidelines and could notice how this family stood for each other. They seemed to be understanding one another and living harmoniously more than what they had heard through rumors.

Zo Zho Yu and Mo Tianyu finally felt relaxed, seeing the kids were happy, and Tang Fei was a changed person. They hadn’t seen them bond as they were bonding now since they had only had that terrible experience in mind, but now, the family looked harmonious and getting along well, Tang Fei wasn’t forcing herself to smile in front of them, but rather, she looked like a fulfilled woman full of happiness and accepting herself as a mother and wife.

It wasn’t an easy role to take on, but bit by bit, she was getting used to and adopting.

"The kids are so grown, I never thought Zhihao would be that clingy!" Yes, they always knew him as an aloof distant guy, you would think he doesn’t care much about anything going around her and life in general, but the way he was behaving and having a beef with his father, he seemed to be attached to his mother more than they expected, and after that incident that had happened, it was normal that he would behave like that because of trauma response.

"Hehe... He is just a baby; when he grows up, he will be independent, I guess. He wouldn’t need to stick around me." She didn’t think it would be wrong to be independent; it’s just that she wanted to bond with them still while they were younger and give them the better childhood that they deserved. Their relationship was getting better, but she wanted it to be much more firm and harmonious.

She wanted to create an environment where they could freely express themselves, an environment where they could tell her anything as a friend. She needed them to grow up happily and fulfilled.

"Mnnnh, that’s good..." Mo Tianyu gave her thumbs up; Huo Ting Cheng was looking way better and calm; his face was beaming, and so were the kids. He was actually glad that everything was smooth with their family and there was nothing to worry about.

"I wonder how you can love someone who carelessly kills people so cold-blooded! He has never changed his traits no matter how calm he looks. A wolf would never become a dog." Yu Jing just didn’t believe they lived as harmoniously as they portrayed themselves to be in front of them; she just felt like they were acting; there was nothing like a perfect family.
