"I’m getting married in less than two months Yang Jia, your reason for this better be important." Gu Zhen said harshly.

Yang Jia heard his harsh tone and clenched her fist tightly, tears flowed out of her eyes as she said "I don’t know what to do Gu Zhen, I just feel so scared."

Gu Zhen looked at Yang Jia in surprise and felt helpless, Yang Jia was a woman who hardly cried, so seeing her in tears made him feel confused, it was times like this that he remembered the Yang Jia he once fell for.

"What happened? Why are you scared?" Gu Zhen asked with a sigh.

"I’m about to lose everything Gu Zhen, Yang Corporation is about to go under because of lack of investors and if it does, I won’t have anything to my name, and Hu Lihua, although he is in a coma, can wake up any moment from now and tell everyone the truth. Yang Jia sobbed in his shirt and after a while pulled away and shyly said "I’m sorry for calling you out here like this, I just didn’t have anyone else to talk to."

Gu Zhen cleaned her tears with his hands and said "I won’t let you lose everything, I will invest in Yang corporation, and as for Hu Lihua, there is no need to worry about him, the doctors have assured that he won’t wake up from his coma and this means Yang Meiyi will never find out the truth."

"Will you invest in Yang corporation, will you do that for me?" Yang Jia asked.

Gu Zhen nodded and said, "Yes I will." He took a step back and continued "But Yang Jia, we can’t keep meeting like this. After today, you can no longer call me if you need a friend or someone to talk to. I can’t be anything more than an investor in your company."

"So do you not love me anymore?" Yang Jia asked as tears threatened to fall from her eyes again.

"I will always love you, Yang Jia, you will forever remain my first love." Gu Zhen said firmly.

Yang Jia smiled and suddenly kissed him, her heart jumped with joy when he kissed her back but that joy was quickly short-lived when Gu Zhen suddenly pushed her away and said "I can’t do this."

"But you just said you love me, you said you will always love me."

"I will Yang Jia but not like this, I can no longer love you the way one does a lover, I can only love you as a friend." Gu Zhen said firmly and wondered how he and Yang Jia got to this point, before he was ready to do anything for this woman, and to a point, he still is but he no longer loved her like before. His heart now loves someone else and a part of Gu Zhen felt like he needed to be happy too.

A phone call broke the silence moment and when Gu Zhen realized that it was his phone ringing, he said "Excuse me for a moment."

Yang Jia nodded and watched him as he went to a corner to answer his call. To be honest, every rejection from Gu Zhen felt as if her heart was being stabbed, but not to worry, there is always a plan B.

Gu Zhen walked back to her with a frown on his face and said "The police Just found Heng Shuai’s body."

"W-what? That’s impossible."

"Why is that impossible?" Gu Zhen asked with a frown.

Calm down Yang Jia, calm down. Yang Jia chanted in her mind and said "Everybody knew she ran off, she left this country so how can her body be found."

"According to Ji Lai, her body was found in a land that a man wanted to turn into a tourist site, so during the renovation, they found a human skeleton, the police examined it so it is confirmed that she is Heng Shuai but there is something I don’t get."

"What is that?" Yang Jia asked, trying to hide her anxiousness.

Gu Zhen narrowed his eyes at her "You were the last person to see Heng Shuai and you were the one who found her letters."

"And so? Are you accusing me of something? Just because I ran over Sang Xiu doesn’t mean I go around killing people and besides Heng Shuai was my best friend, everyone knew this."

"And yet you have not shed a single tears ever since I told you about her death."

"What?"

"Your best friend was killed and then buried so that no one would find her and yet I have not seen even a bit of sadness in your eyes."

Yang Jia forcefully removed her hand from Gu Zhen’s hold and said "Since it is a murder case then the police should investigate, so don’t stand in front of me acting as a detective, worst a saint. Among all the people in this world, you are the least of people who should judge me, because you and I know that you are no better."

Yang Jia left the hotel and entered her car, she screamed in her car and tried to start the car but her hand kept shaking.

Yang Jia hit her steering wheel in anger and shouted "Why? Why now? Why did they have to find her now? Couldn’t you have just remained dead Heng Shuai, why did they have to find you now!."

Yang Jia looked at herself in the rearview mirror and arranged her hair as she whispered ’It’s alright Yang Jia, Heng Shuai has been dead for so many years, nothing can be traced back to you. So calm down and behave as if you just lost your best friend. Besides, the main priority is to get Gu Zhen back and you have to do that, no matter the cost.’
