After saying those words to herself, Ye Qingyi took in a deep breath and left the hospital.

After leaving the hospital, Fu Mingze drove to the park he had asked Xia Lian to take the children to.

He smiled when he saw his children playing with a dog and walked closer to Xia Lian who hadn’t even blinked an eye as he watched the kids.

"Who has the dog?" Fu Mingze asked.

Xia Lian turned to look at his young master as he replied "It’s the boy with the blue shirt. The little miss is amazing, all she had to do was cry a little and the boy immediately agreed to let them play with Dennis."

"Who is Dennis?" Fu Mingze asked with a frown.

"The dog." Xia Lian replied without taking his eyes off the children. His heart was filled with joy seeing how much fun his little master was having.

Fu Mingze on the other hand was monitoring Xia Lian’s expression, he smiled and asked "Since you love kids so much, why don’t you get married and have one?"

"I do not love kids, I just love the little master." Xia Lian replied with no expression on his face.

"Just Fu Liang? Will you treat my son differently from my daughter?"

"I will grow to love Tao Mei as much as I love Fu Liang one day but at this moment, seeing Fu Liang smile makes me very happy." Xia Lian replied with a slight smile on his face.

"It’s alright. I forgive you for loving one more than the other but I won’t forgive you if you protect one more than the other."

"I already know that and I will equally protect them both." Xia Lian replied as he clenched his fists. The thought that anything bad could happen to these young ones already keeps him awake in the night, he doesn’t know why but he feels as if something bad is about to happen.

Fu Mingze clapped his back softly and called out "Fu Liang, Tao Mei."

Both kids turned to see their father and their eyes brightened as they both ran to him.

Fu Mingze smiled when both kids embraced him and crouch down.

"Where is mummy?" Fu Liang asked.

"Your mother is stressed out right now and needs some rest so you both can’t see her until tomorrow." Fu Mingze replied.

"Then does that mean I can stay with Daddy tonight?" Tao Mei asked excitedly.

Fu Mingze chuckled at his daughter’s excitement and said "Yes, you can stay with your dad and big brother tonight."

Fu Liang looked at his father and asked "Daddy, can we get a dog?"

"No." Fu Mingze immediately replied without even taking a second to think about it.

Fu Liang’s facial expression immediately became sad when he heard his father reply.

Fu Mingze sighed and said, "You are too young to have a dog, you won’t be able to take care of it."

"But he has one and he is only a year older than me." Fu Liang said pointing to the boy whose dog they were playing with not too long ago.

Fu Mingze looked at the boy and sighed, this wasn’t the first time his son had asked him to get a dog, and each time he had refused. Perhaps, he should allow the boy to handle a little responsibility.

"Fine, I will think about it and give you my answer in a week."

Fu Liang’s face brightened because whenever his father says he will think about it, the answer usually ends up in a yes.

"Thank you, daddy." Fu Liang replied and hugged his father.

"I also want to give Daddy a hug." Tao Mei said with pouted lips.

Fu Mingze chuckled and pulled Tao Mei into his embrace as well, he kissed the top of their heads and said "Let’s go home."
