Trapped as an NPC in a Dating Sim-Chapter 34: Training Aria Luna!
"You are here? I thought you wouldn’t come."
Soren smiled as he looked at the beautiful girl with green eyes and blonde hair, her long gown fluttering around her and accentuating her impressive bust. With her hair swept back to reveal pointed ears, she looked absolutely breathtaking.
Aria Luna, true to his invitation, came to the training ground to learn Archery for him.
So that Soren wouldn’t have to worry about her spilling secrets about him and Sylvia to others, apparently.
"Y-you forced me to come."
Aria lowered her head and stuttered slightly as she couldn’t take the intense gaze of Soren.
Maybe because it was early morning and there weren’t many people around, Soren was unusually bold, his eyes wandering over her impressive bosom.
Even though she had taken special care to wear a dress that would cover everything, she was too well-endowed to hide it completely, the slight tightness of her gown accentuating her curves in a way that was impossible to ignore.
"Hey, after going through so much, you still stutter while talking to me? Do you still take me as a stranger?"
Soren saw Aria lowering her head, shyly, as if they met for the first time.
To be honest, he was kind of irked about this girl. And it wasn’t because of her behaviour or anything.
Rather, it was because he never heard a damn quest from the system from her.
This was probably the first time he was annoyed by not receiving a perverted quest from the system.
’Why is there no quest at all? Is it because she is more interested in Evan? Is she not affected by my increasing charm?’
Right now, his charm already reached 56 points. But there were still no movements?
"N-no...it’s not like that. I just... I am not that comfortable around people."
Aria hurriedly denied and tried to explain, her voice getting lower and lower.
"Okay, that will not do. You are a teammate who went through life and death with me. How can you still be so shy and timid?"
Soren didn’t allow her to lower her head again. Rather, he placed his finger on her chin, lifting it up, forcing her to look at him.
"If you are still having a hard time, let’s start with a simple thing then. Aria Luna, I am Soren Kingswell. Do you want to be friends with me?"
He suddenly asked, with no frivolity in his eyes. Rather, he lifted his arm and asked for her handshake. His feelings looked genuine.
Of course, the reason why Soren used this method was that he remembered that in the dating sim game, Aria used this dialogue to talk to Evan for the first time. Basically, this was how she liked doing things.
So, he thought, why not use it against her?
Sure enough, seeing him being so serious, Aria bit her lips lightly and finally decided she couldn’t just be timid all the time.
So, mustering up her courage, she lifted her soft hand, placing it in his... and nodded.
"Okay... then, let’s be friends."
After saying that, she showed a beautiful smile that almost charmed Soren instead.
"Good... haha, look, you didn’t stutter this time. Be sure to appear confident, Aria. You look more beautiful that way."
Soren laughed before leaving her hand and hugging her shoulder lightly instead. Then, whether she agreed or not, he dragged her towards the training room he had booked before.
"B-beautiful..?"
"Hey, you are stuttering again. What? Hasn’t anyone told you that you are beautiful before?"
Soren teased, seeing her flushed look, to which Aria rolled her eyes before moving his arm away from her shoulder. It was quite heavy.
"Soren, don’t tease me all the time. Otherwise... I will tell Sylvia. Let’s see how you will fare then."
Maybe because of Soren’s lighthearted smile, Aria also mustered up her courage and threatened him, making him amused.
"Whoa... I am so afraid. Please, don’t tell her. She might really kill me then."
"Then, be honest. Why are you always in such a mood anyway? Won’t you get tired?"
"Hmm? What is so tiring about that? With you around, I am as energetic as I could be."
"Tch... you really are too frivolous."
"Thank you, but didn’t you notice it yesterday?"
"It is not a compliment, okay. Stop smiling."
Soren had that aura around him that could make any girl annoyed to the core.
Before they even reached the door of the training room, Aria was pouting in anger.
She felt that she really couldn’t talk to him normally. Of course, maybe that’s also the reason why she didn’t stutter in front of him anymore and talked back and forth.
Although she didn’t show it, she was enjoying their interactions.
Did she... really make a friend at the Academy?
...
"Hey, is it true that you can awaken a Dual Class?"
Once inside the training room, Soren and Aria both became serious. Soren was already playing with the new bow he got as a reward yesterday.
---
[Moonshadow Bow (C-Rank): Lightweight and silent, perfect for stealth attacks. Grants +12% attack speed and +5% chance to deal critical damage from behind.]
---
It was a simple bow that looked beautiful. To be honest, it didn’t suit him much. But Soren chose this because he was curious whether the +5% chance to deal critical damage from this bow would stack with his invariable stat: Critical Hit.
Of course, he even got a specific arrow with this bow, unlike his D-rank one, which he had already thrown into his inventory mercilessly.
---
[Moonshadow Arrows (C-Rank): Sleek, feathered arrows designed for quiet flight. +10% projectile speed, +8% chance to ignore enemy armor, and deals +5% bonus damage when hitting from stealth.]
---
"Hmm? Dual Class?"
Soren looked away from his bow and gazed at Aria instead. Currently, she was playing with a wooden bow placed on the training field, her eyes filled with curiosity.
Maybe an Elf was born an archer. He found there was a certain charm in her playing with bows.
Maybe his Moonshadow Bow was more suitable for her.
"Yeah, I didn’t lie to you. It is really possible. Just... it is extremely rare."
Soren nodded, then put his bow aside. He also grabbed a wooden bow, nocked an arrow on it, and fired at the far target.
"Swish!"
In an instant, the wooden arrow flew across the room before lodging itself dead at its center without missing a beat.
Really, he who hadn’t touched a bow in his last life was countless times better than any professional who ever existed on Earth.
All because of his B-rank Class, Archer.
"You do know that Elves are beings of the dungeon, right?"
Soren then asked, to which Aria slowly nodded.
"So, you must also know that each elf who is an archer is equivalent to S-rank by default at minimum. They don’t even need to train or awaken their class."
"That’s because they have their World Tree blessings. My mom said that their World Tree is just like our Gaia system, exclusive to all elf lineage."
Aria replied reflexively, then suddenly widened her eyes, as if understanding where he was going with this.
"See? You said it yourself. The World Tree gives you the blessing of an ability resembling a class to all Elf lineage. So, what makes you think you won’t get one?"
Soren asked.
"But... I already awakened a class under the Gaia system, and I am not a real Elf. Otherwise, why doesn’t my mom have a dual class?"
Although Aria understood, she still had some doubts.
"Of course, it is because your mother isn’t really a naturally born elf like you."
Soren rolled his eyes. In fact, Aria’s mother knew from the beginning that she would awaken a dual class. There was some story and dealings behind it.
So, whether or not she practiced archery with him wasn’t that important at all.
But he insisted on teaching her, so that he could train this little elf to his heart’s content.
He wouldn’t let her go today unless he activated a quest.
He was feeling challenged already.
