And then the maid asked, "So, what have you come to the kitchen to do, my Lord?"

Areis looked around as she asked that question, surveying everywhere to make sure he got everything in check. He saw where the utensils were, the ingredients and then not to forget the foodstuffs.

He rolled up the sleeve of his top as he turned to the maids and said, "Isn’t it obvious? I want to cook."

" Huh?" They were flabbergasted.

Not in their whatever years on earth have they seen a guest enter a kitchen so they were quick to refute.

"No, my Lord, you can’t cook." One of them stepped forward at Areis standing before him.

Areis brows arched upward as he looked at her and with one hand stretched forward he moved her to the side.

"Yes, I’ll cook and you’ll assist me."

"Erhhh?" They mumbled again.

But Areis didn’t let that stay too long as he instructed, "You, gather the potatoes from inside the store."

"You, bring the carrots, the spinach, the onions, the pepper, both the yellow and green and red ones."

But the maids he instructed just looked at him as though they were fools.

"What?" He questioned and they streatched their hands forward.

"My Lord, we would really love to assist but what strange names do you call?"

"Oh...shit, I forgot." Areis muttered.

Then, he didn’t use the names he knew them as and went ahead as describing them to them.

Like, bring that hard yellow vegetable. Bring the red, yellow and pepper lookalike spicy fruit. And the likes till everything was placed before him.

And then he equally instructed them to peel and cut the potatoes just like he wanted. Slice the onions, dice the pepper and cut the spinach and Areis was left alone.

He gathered the salt, oil and meat which he has been given.

It was pig meat.

Areis rolled his hand over the fine meat as he massages into it.

"What exactly do I feel like eating?" He mumbled to himself as he looked around.

"Or, what can I possibly make with this limited tools?"

"I’ll make mashed potatoes. And then make a stir fried pork. And then make pepper pork stew."

"That sounds about good."

"And perhaps, the prince might feel nostalgic. I honestly don’t but what could his mother, the queen have been making for him?"

"Nothing is even surging in my brain. It’s just blank. It’s very obvious that this is a fail. Isn’t it?" Areis muttered to himself as he sharpened the knife.

Afterwards, with the decision made, Areis got to work. He slicked the pork just as needed washed it and cooked it before getting to frying it...the maids also worked on their works.

And by the time the steam filled the kitchen if not the whole palace, the guards and other maids were left wanting a taste of whatever was being made as aroma circulated the whole compound.

And Areis was finally done cooking. His stomach grumbled as he completed the last one which was the pepper soup pork and he sighed cleaning the beads of sweat on his forehead.

A maid beside him said, "My Lord, since all is done, you should go inside and we’ll come serve you. Is that cool?"

"Yes, that’s not bad."

"Don’t serve the meal yet. I think I need to first take a bath before I eat any food."

Areis muttered and he left the kitchen after the maids akcwkoleoed him. Areis smelled of the various aroma he had been bath in in the kitchen.

As he stepped into the room, he took off his whole clothes and soaked himself into the warm water of the bath house that the maids had prepared for him before he got there.

Areis relaxed straight away into the warmth.

His eyes were closed as he sighed slowly and then after a few minutes had passed, Areis finally opened his eyes and he was met by a great shock.

His eyes landed on a figure also in the bath with him and he screamed out loud.

"Ahhhh!"

The figure was startled and he stared at him in complete confusion. After Aries voice died down, the figure one permitted the room, "Are you alright?"

"No, I’m not." Areis responded swiftly.

With pointed fingers, he said, "Pervdt! How did you get inside here?"

It was as though Lucien hadn’t heard such before. Well, this was the first time he’s met an audacious one and the audacious one had always been his mate that he wasn’t even surprised anymore.

A confused grin landed on his face as he said, "I’m confused. Are you implying that you didn’t see me when you entered?"

"I’m certain you weren’t blind last night before we slept." Lucein added.

"Huh?" It was Areis turn to be confused.

"But...you..." he stuttered as he tried recalling how the bath tub was when he entered but he realized that he wasn’t really looking.

But then it started to click. He truly never told the maids to prepare hot water for him beforehand so how the hot water suddenly materialized into the bath house seconds after living the kitchen should truly be a topic to talk about.

He looked at Lucien and he suddenly became embarrassed. He was the pervert and had accused one of being the one.

Lucien, looking t Areis, smiled as he realized that he had reasoned his inadequacies but Lucien now had other matters to ponder about. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

He moved closer to Areis and Areis eyes widened as his eyes had previously been locked away in thought only for him to raise his head up and meet Lucien staring at him

Lucien raised his chin up as he asked, "Are you okay? Why are you so stressed that your eyes momentarily stopped working? What happened at the field?"

Areis first sighed at the mention of those questions.

Well, was it the field that stressed him so much, not really as he finally won the fight, but perhaps it was the kitchen as he had so much trouble using the tools of the beastworld to get his food right.

So, Areis didn’t bother to respond to Lucien. Rather, he said, "When did you get back from court? The maids didn’t even tell me anything."

"So, you choose not to answer that, right? Okay. Anyways, I got back not long ago and I heard you were in the kitchen so I didn’t disturb you."

" Cool."

And then the place just fell into an awkward silence as Areis watched Lucien while Lucien just closed his eyes allowing the water sink into his skin.

And then just right after, he orkwnd his eyes and said, "Is there a particular reason you keep boring your eyes into me?"

"Well, wouldn’t you leave so I can also leave?"

" I’m not ready to leave yet, but you can go first if you want." Lucien said and he closed his eyes right after.

Areis gritted his teeth together as he massages his temple. "So, you can see my nakedness..."

"That isn’t news again, darling." Lucien said with a grin

"Really!" Areis exclaimed, his hands spread out in frustration.

"What the heck!" He muttered standing up from the bathtub.

Color rushed to his face out of embarrassment and shyness but nothing could be done and then he went ahead to leave the bathroom with the hairs on his back raised up as he was at alert that Lucien was staring.

As he watched Areis go, Lucien couldn’t help but chuckled at how cute he was being. And he just stayed there for a few minutes before finally leaving.

A few minutes had passed since Areis came back to the room and he was already dressed in a short only. He then ordered the maids to bring the food he had cooked in just right before Lucien came back.

"Yes, it’s better this way. He’ll get to see my good deeds because thinking of getting revenge. I wonder how he cleaned the ink off." Areis muttered as the maids served the food on the table in the room.

As they left, Lucien entered. His eyes went straight to his maids seated on the dining area and his eyes went to his meals.

The aroma almost sent him flying out of the room and crying to be let back in. It was something he had never smelt before, or perhaps just once while in the tiger Kingdom when at the pleasure house.

And this made him remember that his mate truly had been acclaimed for his cooking then which led to the tiger King finding out about it.

And that was even the event that led to the tiger king injuring him.

But then, it has been a few months since Areis arrived in the wolf Kingdom and that aspect of him had been dormant that it made Lucien temporary forgetful of it.

But now, he’s all ears about it. He walked into the room but didn’t bother to acknowledge the spread befote Areis.

Firstly, Lucien truly was a picky eater so even though the aroma was enticing, he wasn’t interested in tasting the meal.

And secondly, he wasn’t sure Aries would be willing to give him as he believed them to be in bad times.

So, he just entered the room and instantly dropped his towel.

And a scream followed. "What the hell!"
