Trash Prince and Ice Queen 10th Re - Life-Chapter 145: Memories of Another World
Meanwhile, inside the spacious bathroom—with its walls of marble, granite, and pillars adorned with images resembling hieroglyphs—Eva soaked in a massive pool the size of a modern swimming pool back on Earth. The ceiling was covered in paintings and illuminated by a crystal chandelier made of glowing wires encased in crystals that looked like beautiful light bulbs. She stared around in a daze, feeling that the giant civilization in Tartagia was more or less on par with Earth.
She turned to see large stalls with massive showerheads inside, several faucets for washing one’s face complete with stone basins, and orange wall lights that looked like bulbs but were actually orange-colored crystals.
"This is incredible. I wonder if ancient Egyptian civilization was also this advanced. They had three pyramids that might have functioned as energy plants rather than tombs... ow... my thoughts are drifting back to my life on Earth. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved stories about ancient Egypt... seriously," Eva muttered to herself, trying to suppress her awe.
"Hey."
Eva looked to her left and saw Alicia, Mirea, Claudia, Beatrice, Adeline, Rosalind, Milia, Pyria, and Irina all watching her with anxious faces. Then she turned to her right and saw Thorena looking at her too.
"What is it?" Eva asked.
"I should be the one asking you that. Your face looks sad and confused. What’s wrong? What are you thinking about?" Alicia asked.
"Oh... it’s nothing," Eva answered.
"If something is up, please tell us. We’re all in the same boat, aren’t we?" Mirea added.
"Really, I’m perfectly fine," Eva said.
"You mentioned that all of this reminds you of your life on Earth... is that why?" Claudia asked.
"Sigh... yeah. I’m just feeling nostalgic, that’s all," Eva said.
"Earth? What are you talking about? Can you tell us?" Thorena asked.
"Hmm... I’ve already heard from the Dragon God that you and Ard are reincarnations from a place called Earth, but if you’re willing, could you tell us what kind of place it is?" Irina added.
"Maybe sharing the story will make you feel better? You never know," Pyria added.
"Exactly, exactly. I want to know too," Milia added.
Eva looked to her right and left; everyone seemed enthusiastic, waiting for her story—especially Beatrice, Adeline, and Rosalind, who were ready to silence the two princesses if they asked anything weird or said something inappropriate. Eva gave a faint smile, then began to talk about Earth. She spoke of ancient Egypt and its legends, of world wars and her life there, and about being a soldier.
What truly made Eva feel a sense of relief was speaking about her family and the staff who worked for them—the people whose loss she still felt so deeply. Naturally, everyone listening to Eva’s story looked shocked but also impressed. They stayed silent and absorbed every detail as she poured out everything she had been holding inside all this time.
After Eva finished, "splash," they all leaned back against the edge of the pool, seemingly digesting everything she had shared.
"So, in this world called Earth... there are no elves, dark elves, or any other races besides humans?" Mirea asked.
"That’s right. Other races are just fairy tales or myths that legends say were once real, but no one has ever actually met them," Eva answered.
"Then... there’s no magic there?" Alicia asked.
"None. But they have firearms that can shoot from a long distance. Over there, we fight wars by shooting at each other from far away," Eva answered, trying to explain it in a way they could understand.
"Wow... so you could say Earth is more advanced than us? You said there are carriages that don’t use horses? They use engines? What is an engine?" Milia asked, clearly fascinated as she pelted Eva with questions.
"It’s hard to explain because I don’t really understand it myself, but yes—our vehicles don’t use horses; they use fuel," Eva answered.
"I want to see Earth," Adeline blurted out.
"Same here, I’m curious too," Beatrice added.
"That’s impossible. It’s not like we can just hop between worlds. Please stop saying such strange things," Rosalind replied to the two princesses she was guarding, even though no one had asked her to.
Eventually, they continued chatting casually while enjoying their soak in the warm pool, which featured several statues continuously pouring water from various corners. Suddenly, "thump... thump," the sound of running footsteps echoed. They all turned just in time to see a young giant girl and a young giant boy sprinting toward the pool. They leaped over the group and—"splash"—dived into the water, creating a wave that crashed over everyone, forcing them to raise their arms to shield their faces.
"Oh, I’m so sorry!"
Everyone turned and wiped the water from their eyes. They saw a beautiful giant woman with a large, muscular, yet sexy build standing behind them. Her face showed her embarrassment over her children’s behavior, and she looked truly apologetic.
"Um... it’s okay," Eva replied.
The giant woman, Lesnar’s wife named Mertha, looked at Eva, Alicia, Mirea, Claudia, Beatrice, Adeline, and Rosalind, who were humans. Then she saw Pyria, who was an elf, and Irina, who was clearly a demon. She also turned to see Thorena, a dwarf, and bowed her head; Thorena returned the gesture with a bow of her own.
Mertha seemed impressed and observed everyone carefully, as this was the first time she had ever seen humans, an elf, and a demon standing right in front of her. She tried to hide her interest and wonder, even covering her mouth to conceal a smile at the unusual sight before her.
But suddenly, a hand reached out and touched Rosalind’s head. She turned to see a little girl who was about the same height as her, staring at her in a daze, trying to recognize what exactly she was looking at with an adorable, cute face.
"Whoa... who are you?" the little girl asked, looking at Rosalind as if she were a doll come to life.
"Rosalind. Who are you?" Rosalind asked.
"Christa. Let’s play!" Christa answered, pulling Rosalind toward the center of the pool.
"Hey... hey... wait," Rosalind said, not expecting that the little girl would turn out to be as strong as a typical human man.
Seeing her daughter pulling Rosalind’s arm by force and looking completely guilt-free, Mertha’s face changed drastically, as if she were watching a horror movie. She immediately apologized to everyone and looked at her little girl.
"Goodness... Christa, don’t do that—hey! Let her go," Mertha said, stepping past the others and into the water.
Eva and the others finally realized that the pool, which was as large as an Olympic-sized swimming pool on Earth, looked more like a standard public bath once Mertha stepped inside. They began to imagine all ten of Kresus’s wives—the ones who had helped them earlier—getting into the pool along with Kresus.
"Hmm... I guess this pool really is the perfect size for them," everyone muttered in their hearts at the exact same time without saying a word.
They just watched as Mertha chased after Christa, who was "playing" with Rosalind as if she were a doll or some strange creature she didn’t understand. It was obvious from Rosalind’s face that she was suffering; her head was occasionally dunked into the pool until she was gasping for air, all because her hand was being pulled by Christa, who was "walking" casually through the pool toward her older brother.
Finally, Mertha caught her daughter and immediately scolded her. She then explained to both of her children about humans, elves, and demons, telling them that the other three races were also living beings just like them and definitely not toys. Rosalind breathed a sigh of relief, clutching her chest as her heart hammered wildly.

Meanwhile, in the living room, the atmosphere grew increasingly tense as Lesnar explained why he considered Idor to be a sorcerer. According to Lesnar, Idor frequently gave predictions and prophecies to King Vogir and was even capable of controlling the weather—for instance, if they needed rain, he would gather clouds overhead which then poured down rain. Beyond that, he often gave the king precise advice so he could make the right decisions, and those decisions were usually correct. These were the things that led King Vogir to make Idor his right hand and grant him the title of Marquess, even though Idor had previously been a mere commoner and was not of noble birth.
Hearing this story, Ard, Geoffrey, Ainsley, and Irwin immediately turned to look at one another. It was clear that Idor could use magic, which made him something unique among the giants since giants cannot use magic and instead possess extraordinary physical strength. The same went for the dwarves, who cannot use magic and use technology instead. The four of them became increasingly certain that Idor must have a connection to the goddess Ophelia and was very likely her messenger as well; after all, seeing and predicting the future was clearly the work of the goddess.
"It seems we must be very careful in how we move," Ard muttered, lost in thought.
