Chapter 162: House Wife Princess

Thanks to Luca’s directions, the zeppelin flew toward the west, reaching a residential zone on the edge of the city. Ard and Eva looked at the grand, asymmetrical house designs, complete with detailed ornaments; they featured steep, pointed roofs with red tiles, large windows, and high ceilings. The houses consisted of two floors, an attic, and a basement that was visible from the outside because of its windows. The houses were positioned far apart from one another, separated by spacious yards. Seeing the familiar house designs, without realizing it, Ard and Eva smiled with teary eyes as they remembered their homes back when they lived on Earth before the war.

Luca, who was standing between the two of them, turned to look left and right at them both; then, she pulled on both of their hands until they startled and turned to look at her.

"Hey... why are you guys spacing out again?" Luca snapped, annoyed. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Oh... sorry, I just remembered something," Eva said, wiping her watery eyes.

"That’s how it is... anyway, is Lugerna around here?" asked Ard, who was also wiping his eyes.

"Hmm... I don’t know, but what’s clear is that Githiess’s egg is around here... more specifically, in that house," Luca said, pointing to a house in the distance with a large backyard and white paint. It wasn’t too big, but it shared the same design, and a plantation growing fruits and vegetables was visible behind it.

Ard and Eva turned to look at the house Luca pointed out and the direction the zeppelin was heading. When they arrived, the ship descended and landed right on the road in front of the house, its propellers blowing back the surrounding trees and grass. Then Ard, Eva, Luca, Thorena, Elmer, Grethia, Geoffrey, Alicia, Milia, Beatrice, Adeline, Rosalind, Claudia, Mirea, Ainsley, Irina, and Irwin disembarked from the ship. They looked at the house before them, which appeared very cozy and warm, filled with a family atmosphere.

"The egg is inside... but... it doesn’t feel like an egg anymore," Luca said.

"Huh... what do you mean?" Ard asked.

Before Luca could answer, the front door of the house swung open. A dwarf man with a long beard, wearing a plaid shirt, denim overalls, and a fedora, stepped out carrying a flintlock rifle. He aimed his gun at Ard and the others.

"Hey... who are you people? Why are you landing in front of my house?" the man shouted.

Ard, Eva, Thorena, and Elmer observed the man aiming at them, but before they could open their mouths, the door opened again. A woman wearing a white and brown dress with a cloth covering her head appeared. The woman looked stunned as she saw Ard’s group standing there.

"Lugerna?"

The woman’s eyes immediately locked onto Elmer and Thorena as they stepped forward. She lowered the man’s rifle and walked straight toward them.

"Hey... honey!" the man shouted.

"It’s okay," the woman replied.

The woman stood before Elmer and Thorena, studying them both until her face suddenly lit up with joy. She immediately pulled them into a hug.

"Brother Elmer... Thorena, we finally meet again... how are you guys? And how is Papa?" asked the woman, who turned out to be Lugerna.

"Finally... I found you. Thank God you’re okay, Lugerna," Elmer said, embracing his sister.

"Huuu... huu... I missed you so much, big sister," Thorena sobbed.

Ard, Eva, Luca, Grethia, and the others stepped back a bit, giving the three of them space for their reunion. Then Ard turned to look at the dwarf man dressed like a farmer, who stood behind them looking completely bewildered while resting his long flintlock rifle on his shoulder.

"Who is that guy?" Ard asked, whispering to Eva beside him.

"Hmm... I don’t know... maybe her husband?" Eva whispered back, just as clueless and asking him right back.

As the two of them wondered and tried to find an answer in their heads, "blam," the door suddenly swung open. Out came two boys around thirteen or fourteen years old, a girl about eleven, and a very cute little girl roughly nine or ten years old. But strangely, she had white wings, skin as white as snow, white eyes, and silver hair that even covered her eyebrows. Her appearance was more like an angel than a dwarf.

Suddenly, Luca ran forward and stood right in front of the ten-year-old little girl. The two of them immediately stared at each other, studying one another as their eyes moved up and down as if scanning each other, their blank expressions making the scene look quite funny. Then, Luca reached her hand out with a deadpan face.

"Hello... I’m Luca," Luca said, staring at the little girl in front of her who was roughly the same size as herself.

"I’m Gigi... hello," replied the angel-like little girl named Gigi.

But as the two of them shook hands, "swooooosh," a surge of invisible energy suddenly erupted—it was truly suffocating, the kind of pressure that would make anyone nearby without power immediately drop to their knees. "Groaaaar," two shadows appeared like holograms: the true form of Lucathan and the form of Githiess, who looked like a long-necked bird with a dragon’s head, boasting two arms and a massive body covered in bright white scales like clouds, emerged from Luca and Gigi’s bodies.

Of course, Ard, Eva, Grethia, and the others were instantly shocked; even the man and the other children were seen kneeling, unable to withstand the pressure, and the three siblings mid-reunion also turned to look. A few moments later, the shadows of their true forms vanished and the atmosphere returned to normal, though it remained silent, with only the sound of leaves rustling in the wind.

"Hello, Githiess," Luca said, greeting her once more, but this time she wore a terrifyingly wide grin.

"So it’s you, Lucathan," replied Gigi, whose previously calm face suddenly shifted into a terrifyingly wide grin of her own.

Naturally, the two of them looked as if they were mocking each other, and a battle could break out at any moment. But before they could do anything, "Luca!" Ard and Eva shouted, calling out to her. Luca then turned to look at Ard and Eva, grabbed Gigi’s hand, and ran back toward them.

"Ard... Eva, this is Gigi. She’s the Githiess egg that hatched," Luca said casually, as if she were mentioning the weather was clear today, completely unaware of the weight of her words.

Of course, as Luca’s words hung in the air, the atmosphere fell silent. Ard, Eva, Grethia, and the others—even Elmer, Thorena, and Lugerna, who were still mid-reunion and holding hands—immediately froze and stared at Gigi. Then Elmer and Thorena turned to look at Lugerna.

"So... the egg hatched and became that child?" Elmer asked, pointing at Gigi.

"Yes, that’s Gigi, my youngest daughter... oh, come here, let me introduce you," Lugerna answered.

Lugerna led Elmer and Thorena closer to the man and the children who were now struggling to stand up. Then she stood in front of the man.

"Honey, let me introduce you. This is my older brother and my younger sister... and you guys, meet my husband, Bromir Steelhold. These are my twin boys, Erdin and Ardin, then my daughter, Lisya, and over there is Gigi, also my daughter. They are all my family," Lugerna said cheerfully, standing in the middle of her family and introducing them one by one with a bright smile.

Elmer and Thorena looked completely stunned to realize they suddenly had several nephews and nieces, as well as a brother-in-law. Their expressions showed the shock that Lugerna, the second princess of the Kingdom of Grimgrath, had married, started a family, and become a wife and mother to her children—and most importantly, that she looked truly happy.

Elmer shook hands with Bromir while studying him; he was quite handsome for a dwarf, even if he worked as a farmer. Then, when Thorena greeted Bromir, she gave him a hug, signaling that she accepted him as her brother-in-law. Afterward, Elmer and Thorena also introduced themselves to Lugerna’s children one by one.

Once the introductions were over, Elmer and Thorena briefly explained everything to Lugerna. Then they all approached Gigi, who was standing and holding hands with Luca in front of Ard, Eva, Grethia, and the others. They still looked dazed, staring at Gigi as if they couldn’t believe she was the child who had come out of Githiess’s egg. Lugerna stood beside Gigi and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Lugerna. I am the second princess of the Kingdom of Grimgrath, but here, I am just an ordinary housewife living happily—and this is Gigi, my daughter," Lugerna said, introducing herself.

"Lugerna... is it really you, Lugerna?" Grethia asked.

"How are you, sister Grethia? It’s been a long time since we last saw each other, hasn’t it?" Lugerna replied with a smile.

Grethia then leaned down and hugged Lugerna, who hugged her back. Afterward, at the request of Elmer, Grethia, and Thorena, Lugerna explained to Ard, Eva, and the others that Gigi was indeed the child who came out of Githiess’s egg. She had hatched about a year ago, and when she emerged, she was already ten years old—the same size as Luca. Hearing Lugerna’s story, Ard and Eva turned their gaze back to Gigi, who stared back at them with a blank expression, as if she didn’t have a clue what was going on.
