Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1171: What Do You Think of Dr. Shelby?
Back in the ward, Jocelyn Morgan gathered her thoughts and told Jasmine, "Aunt, I made the appointment."
"Great, should you hurry back to get dressed?" Jasmine was very enthusiastic, immediately offering suggestions, "Do you want to change into a dress?"
"It’s just a meal," Jocelyn was indifferent, "It’s not a date, why make a big deal out of it? Besides, he already knows what I’m wearing today. Dressing up specially would seem odd."
Jasmine didn’t push the issue about clothing.
"Jocelyn, remember, don’t just eat—make sure to engage in conversation as well." Jasmine passed on her experience, "Take the opportunity to understand each other, okay?"
"Aunt." Jocelyn sort of understood her meaning, and she blushed a little, "Why are you doing this? It’s just a meal, you’re making it sound like a blind date."
"Exactly, exactly." Jasmine was pleased, "It’s good you have this realization, so I don’t need to use my speech. Let me tell you one more thing."
"What is it?"
"This Dr. Shelby is single, he’s not dating Dr. Ford. He denied it himself, said they’re just colleagues."
Jocelyn looked at her aunt, who was in high spirits, and got up from her chair with a start, "What? You even asked him??"
"I did ask," Jasmine grinned, "What’s wrong with asking? It’s a normal question."
Jocelyn was mortified, "Aunt..."
"Good girl, stop overthinking it. You’re not young anymore, and Dr. Shelby is nice."
Just then, the ward door gently opened. They turned around to see Justin Kingston and Mia Lane walking in.
"Aunt, Jocelyn." Mia Lane smiled, carrying a fruit basket, "Aunt, are you feeling better?"
Justin Kingston also politely greeted the middle-aged woman on the bed, "Aunt."
"Much better, much better. CEO Kingston and President Lane must have squeezed time out of your busy schedules. Please, have a seat."
The arrival of Mia Lane and Justin Kingston abruptly ended the previous topic in the ward.
It’s now evening, five thirty.
"Jocelyn, you should go out and have dinner with Dr. Shelby," Jasmine had been watching the time.
Jocelyn took out her phone and glanced at it, "There’s still half an hour. I can’t go too early; it’d seem too eager."
"Right, right, it’s better for girls to be a bit reserved, but don’t be too reserved. You need to seize the opportunity."
Jasmine sat up straight and asked her seriously, "Jocelyn, aunt is asking you, what’s your impression of Dr. Shelby?"
She knew she couldn’t escape this question, and she had asked herself a similar one.
If she really had to answer, she didn’t know what to say.
"Does silence mean you like him?" Jasmine closely observed her.
Jocelyn thought about it and just said, "I don’t dislike him, and he’s okay." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"So that means there’s a good impression?" Jasmine openly stated, "From the first glance, I liked this Dr. Shelby. He’s someone worth trusting. If you two end up together, I’ll have no regrets in this life!"
Jocelyn remained silent, and unknowingly, twenty minutes passed by...
In the blink of an eye, it was five fifty.
Jocelyn felt a bit nervous and uneasy. For some reason, she wasn’t usually the timid type.
"Hurry up, it’s almost six o’clock." Jasmine started urging again, she was practically like a living alarm clock.
Jocelyn got up and left the ward. In the corridor, she found her heartbeat starting to race—trying to calm it down only made it worse.
In Ian Shelby’s office, Vera Ford was also there at the moment.
She was revising some patient records but noticed that Ian kept glancing at his watch every so often, as if waiting for something.
