Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1174: Trevor Asks Jocelyn Morgan for Help
"What favor?" This is a question everyone would ask, and Jocelyn Morgan is no exception.
"A very simple favor, not asking you for money." Trevor said humorously, "Just the time for a meal is enough, don’t refuse me, I can’t find anyone suitable right now."
His tone was casual and relaxed, as if it truly was just a small favor.
"..." Jocelyn didn’t feel right to refuse him again.
After all, Trevor isn’t the type of guy with a chaotic life; if he wasn’t facing some issue, he wouldn’t have asked her for help.
Besides, she owed him a favor, helping him out would clear the debt.
Trevor asked again, "What’s wrong with your aunt? Why is she hospitalized? Is it serious?" His steady tone carried a hint of concern.
"It’s not serious, just a stomach issue flaring up, but it’s already improving." The girl asked, "What time tomorrow? Where should I meet you?"
She agreed.
Trevor was very pleased, a slight smile emerging at the corner of his lips, "I’ll come to the hospital to pick you up, just right to visit your aunt, good night."
After speaking, he directly hung up, leaving her no chance to refuse.
Jocelyn held the phone in the hallway, looking bewildered.
He’s coming to visit aunt??
What will aunt think?
Will she misunderstand their relationship? Aunt is eager for her to get married soon!
So, she quickly dialed Trevor back, the ringtone went on and on, but he didn’t answer.
Jocelyn could only return to the ward feeling a bit frustrated.
Jasmine had woken up, sitting up to drink water, "It’s so late, whose call? You even went out to take it."
How did she wake up?
"A friend, if I hadn’t gone out, it would have disturbed you." Jocelyn told her, "Aunt, I might have to leave for a bit tomorrow, a friend needs a favor, won’t take long."
"Is it a guy?" Jasmine glanced at her, holding the cup in her hands.
How could Jocelyn withstand such a look?
"Yes." She confessed, anyway, Trevor was coming tomorrow, lying would only expose it.
Just when Jasmine was about to inquire further, Jocelyn caught on and quickly explained, "Just an ordinary friend! He helped me before, so I’m just returning the favor."
They locked eyes for a moment, Jasmine naturally believed her words, took a sip of water, "Who doesn’t have male friends? Don’t be too nervous."
"I’m not nervous, aunt."
Jasmine knew if Jocelyn had started dating, she would definitely tell her.
"Aunt, aren’t you going to sleep?" Jocelyn noticed she seemed more energetic.
Jasmine smiled and waved her over, the room’s main light was off, the small night light cast a dim, warm glow indoors.
Jocelyn came over and sat next to her, "What’s up?"
"How was your dinner with Dr. Shelby?"
Jasmine lowered her voice, eyes sparkling, pulling her to sit on the bedside, "Do you have any feelings for him?" She was eager like a concerned mother.
In the flickering light, Jocelyn’s cheeks flushed slightly, "It’s late, aunt, you need to rest as a patient."
"Answer me, what are you avoiding?" Jasmine gave her a serious look, "I specifically let you both go out for a meal, you have to tell me something, don’t keep me guessing! How can I sleep?"
"Just a meal, what’s there to report?" Jocelyn evaded, "Anyway, I don’t dislike him."
"Not disliking means liking?" Jasmine was very happy, "I remember asking you the same question before, just with someone else, you said you hated them!"
"..." Jocelyn had forgotten, she stood up, urged her to sleep, and lay down herself.
The ward was quiet, but she felt a bit sleepless, unconsciously thinking of Ian Shelby, his gentle demeanor, his cool and distant vibe, and the words "With me here."
