Twisted Dreams-Chapter 347 - 416: Alliance
The battle was over.
The bodies of the Evolvers were everywhere.
The Shadow Python devours creatures by entering through the mouth and emerging whole from other parts of the body, digesting only their life essence.
The Shadow Python slowly sank into the ground, emerging under Su Yutang’s feet, lifting her gently so that she could face Diabolos directly.
Diabolos harbored strong hostility towards humans. Even though Su Yutang had saved its life, it remained highly cautious:
"Who are you, and why did you help me?"
Su Yutang crossed her arms:
"I am the Black Queen, personally appointed by the Demon Race Emperor."
Facing the giant beast Diabolos, standing on the Shadow Python, this extraordinary human had a striking contrast with the two fierce creatures.
Diabolos was slightly moved upon hearing the word "Demon Race."
Diabolos felt a strange sense rising within its heart.
Because even though it was hearing this term for the first time, it knew that it was indeed a "Demon," with "Demon" being its destiny.
Diabolos asked:
"What is a Demon?"
Su Yutang raised an eyebrow.

Diabolos asked:

If I bite him to death, I will become the new Emperor!"
This lion is belligerent.
Defeat the Emperor, and it becomes the new Emperor.
This is the law of beasts.
Su Yutang sneered:
"You, a Demon who hasn’t even transformed, want to challenge the Black Emperor?"
Su Yutang glanced at the bodies strewn across the ground and continued:
"If the Black Emperor were here, those humans wouldn’t even have the chance to speak."
She said this while raising her eyes to look at Diabolos, with a hint of mockery in her beautiful eyes:
"And you..."
Diabolos fell silent.
It seemed that it was far inferior to the Black Emperor.
Soon, Diabolos perked up.
This is good; at least this means that Demons have a community.
It realized that it was not an oddity living alone on this prairie!
Diabolos asked:
"Do you know where I can meet other Demons?"
Su Yutang replied without hesitation:
"Other Demons are in Xia Country."
She looked at Diabolos suspiciously:
"You speak the language of Xia Country and are undoubtedly a Demon, so why are you on this prairie in Huaqi?"
Diabolos showed a hint of respect on its face, saying:
"I cannot tell you; it’s a secret."
It dared not say that it was enlightened by the Tree of Human Essence to become part of the Demon Race.
Su Yutang observed the human-like expressions on Diabolos’ face.
Quick-witted as she was, she soon realized there was a significant secret behind this lion.
Her mind became active.
Su Yutang wanted to collaborate with Diabolos.

"Do you want to meet more Demons?

Diabolos looked at Su Yutang in shock:
"Yes, do you have a way?"
Su Yutang said:
"Yes, I can tell you, but you must form an alliance with me."
Diabolos repeated two words:
"Alliance?"
Su Yutang said:
"I am the Black Queen appointed by the Demon Race Emperor. Though I am human, in some ways, we are on the same side. And also..."
Su Yutang paused and continued:
"We have common enemies."
Diabolos turned its gaze to the ground at those Evolvers.
Su Yutang had a slight smile at the corner of her mouth:
"Those people are Evolvers from the God Creation Group. Their purpose in finding you is to capture Demons..."
After Su Yutang explained about the God Creation Group and its goals, Diabolos’s face showed anger.
Humans, indeed, never regard other races’ lives as equals!
"Okay, I am willing to ally with you; it’s what I should do!"
Diabolos said earnestly.
Su Yutang was satisfied and said:
"In seven days, there will be a Blood Moon appearing in Yinodton State.
Under the Blood Moon, any creature has the chance to become an Extraordinary.
If the animals on the prairie arrive on time to the nearest legal hunting area to Yinodton State in seven days, quite a few of them should become part of the Demon Race."
This news was seen on the CF Foundation forum.
Su Yutang was certain the owner of the forum was someone from the Demon Club, though she did not know who.
Diabolos gratefully said:
"Okay, I will drive the animals to the legal hunting area after seven days, to bathe in the Blood Moon."
If more Demons appear on the prairie, it won’t be the only Demon on the prairie.
Its intelligent self was too lonely on this prairie.
Su Yutang extended a fist:
"Then we are allies."
Diabolos also extended its massive lion’s paw and bumped it against Su Yutang’s fist.

In Huaqi, Seven-Angled Tower, Defense Bureau.
A young man in a suit and tie, holding a document, walked briskly to an office door, knocked, and entered.
Inside the office, behind a desk, was an elderly man with a receding hairline reviewing documents with reading glasses. Upon seeing the young man, he raised his eyebrows:

While organizing the funeral in the countryside, I had to use a laptop to write, a device I’m not familiar with, and combined with all the happenings, my update schedule has been unstable.
