Twisted Dreams-Chapter 67 - 39: Monster Attack
An inexplicable sense of crisis surrounded Chen Wei.
He had seen quite a bit of blood recently, how could he not discern the terrifying murderous aura from the girl which was not fitting for her age?
Chen Wei turned his head and was about to run.
At this moment, the black dog blocking the door stood up, its body constantly enlarging.
The image of the Three-headed Hellhound appeared in front of Chen Wei.
Chen Wei’s eyes were filled with fear, his face deathly pale as he stared at Suzu:
"Is this how the master’s method works?"
He was not a Feng Shui Master.
No wonder he could help me see Nana, so it’s like this.
Suzu drew a magic circle in the air, and the power of the curse was generated.
She said:
"Considering you accidentally helped the master a lot, the master instructed me not to kill you, just to alter your memory."
The power of the curse pierced into Chen Wei’s body.
Chen Wei’s memories shattered like glass and then reformed into new glass.
In a daze, he seemed to see a sweet girl in the center of the glass, it was Nana.
If only I had chosen to bring Nana back to life back then, and taken all the money to run away with her, how wonderful that would be?
Chen Wei fainted.
The Three-headed Hellhound, Xiaohai, transformed into a normal black dog appearance, lying on the ground with its tongue out.
Suzu picked up the phone and dialed the alarm number for the security bureau.
The sound of wind chimes outside the door rang, and Cao Yi, wearing a sheriff’s uniform, pushed the door open and entered.
Suzu was momentarily stunned:
"Your security bureau is really efficient, I hadn’t even finished my call and you guys are already here."
She smiled sweetly, pointing at the unconscious Chen Wei:
"That person broke into my shop, fortunately, my dog scared him faint."
Cao Yi’s eyelid twitched, is it true or not?
The head of the underground comes to the fortune-teller’s pharmacy and then gets scared faint by a dog?
Cao Yi’s expression did not change and he asked:
"Where is your household adult?"
Footsteps sounded from the stairs, and Cao Yi looked over with scrutiny.
The person was very young.
Looked like an ordinary person.
But his aura was very peculiar.
Was gloomy, yet exuded a sense of nobility.
Like shrouded in a layer of mist, making it impossible to see clearly.
Cao Yi maintained his expression and said with a smile:
"Hello, security bureau.
Thank you for helping us catch the fugitive."
Li Yang gave Cao Yi a cold glance:
"It’s really an honor."
Then he sat behind the counter and packed a few books into Suzu’s small backpack.
Li Yang frowned:
"You’ve caught the person, why aren’t you leaving?"
Cao Yi apologized and said:
"Sorry for the disturbance, I will send the brocade banner and medal."
After speaking, he carried Chen Wei out the door and got into his car.
Cao Yi frowned.
He had seen many criminals, and could smell the stench of their corruption from afar.
Although the pharmacy owner had a dangerous aura, he didn’t seem like a criminal.
He could still face the fugitive and the sheriff without changing his expression.
Compared to Chen Wei fainting from being scared by the dog, he more believed it was the pharmacy owner that knocked him out.
Could it really be like the famous Feng Shui Master Little White Dragon of Harbor City, a Feng Shui Master who dealt with both black and white?
Cao Yi glanced back at the pharmacy:
"Such a character exists in the South Sea?!"
He took out his phone and dialed a number:
"Chen Wei has been caught, mission accomplished."
At this moment, a shrill scream came from the other end of the phone, followed by intense gunfire.
Cao Yi squinted his eyes:
"What’s happening on site?"
After a moment, a voice came through, still shaky with fright:
"Leader, there’s a monster, it has been shot dead!"
...
Ten minutes ago, South Sea, Lower Bay.
Golden Splendor KTV was surrounded by security cars.
Sheriffs stormed into the KTV to seal everything off.
Some people squatted in the corners, sheriffs were checking everyone’s ID cards.
There were many onlookers, but all outside the security line.
Some sheriffs maintaining order noticed an unusual black-robed figure walking towards the inside of the security line.
The person was fully cloaked in a black robe, tall and imposing.
"Sheriffs handling the case, idle people keep away!"
The sheriffs cautiously touched the guns at their backs, warning the person.
The black-robed figure was not intimidated and accelerated into a run.
The sheriffs took out electric batons, riot shields, and other items to block the figure.
But all efforts were in vain.
The black-robed figure had absurd strength, breaking through the sheriff’s formation in an instant!
During the struggle, someone pulled away the black robe from the figure.
A horrifying scene appeared.
The figure’s eyes were blood-red, and their whole body was sewn with stitches.
Upon closer inspection, the stitched parts did not belong to the same person!
This person, unexpectedly, was a body stitched together from an unknown number of people!
A sheriff fired his gun out of terror.
But the monster wasn’t afraid of bullets!
Only black pus oozed out, not affecting its movements at all!
The sheriffs opened fire on it, but the monster broke through the hail of bullets, searching for something inside Golden Splendor KTV.
Finally, the monster reached an inconspicuous room, smashed the wall, and grabbed a safe!
The sheriffs were dumbfounded.
Smash a wall with a punch, carry a safe with bare hands?!
What kind of monster is this!
In the distance, the military officer snipers finally received orders to shoot.
One shot pierced the monster’s heart, one shot blew its head off.
The monster finally stopped moving, falling heavily to the ground.
The leader of the Military Officer Corps kicked the monster’s body to ensure it was dead, then said:
"Find someone to open the safe."
The code-breaking expert arrived quickly and opened the safe in a few minutes.
Inside there was no cash, only a small bag containing a few pills.
The leader of the Military Officer Corps put on white gloves and picked up the small bag:
"Send it to the forensic department for testing."
...
Suburb of South Sea, Green Grass Sanatorium.
In the basement, there was a secret laboratory, red lights flashing, alarms blaring.
Several tall grotesque figures full of stitches roared, destroying everything around them.
Some abominations charged towards the gap in the titanium alloy door.
They got stuck there, unable to go in or out.
A few foreign researchers in white lab coats hid under the office desks, hysterically shouting into their radios:
"Guards! Guards! Seal all exits! We can’t let these experiments escape!"
An abomination rushed into the office, discovering the researchers, swinging its massive fist in anger.
The bald foreigner in charge quickly took a few pills from his pocket and threw them out.
The monster went crazy for the pills.
The scent of the pills drew in the other abominations.
The abominations swarmed towards the office, the foreign researchers despaired.
Just then, the sound of a guitar came, explosive metal music filled the laboratory.
The abominations froze, looking towards the metal door.
A tan-skinned girl stood there.
Her long black hair had streaks of burgundy.
Wearing earrings, tongue studs, and lip rings.
The tight leather pants accentuated her fiery figure.
The tan-skinned girl chewed gum, playing the guitar, her gaze cold.
The abominations clutched their ears in pain from the guitar sounds, kneeling and wailing.
One of them couldn’t bear it, roaring and rushing at the tan-skinned girl.
The girl lifted her round, slender leg and kicked powerfully, sending the creature flying tens of meters away.
The abominations fell silent completely.
The tan-skinned girl spoke in English:
"Get back in the cage."
The abominations obediently returned to their cages, sitting quietly.
Heavily armed guards swarmed in, closing the cages again.
The bald researcher jogged to the tan-skinned girl’s side, hesitantly opening his mouth:
"Lady Lilith, one of the experiments has escaped."
Lilith looked coldly at the researcher:
"It’s been caught by Xia Country’s sheriffs and now you’re telling me."
The bald researcher’s face turned pale, cold sweat pouring out:
"It was all an accident..."
